Ps 62:1
For the end, a Psalm of David for Idithun. Shall not my soul be subjected to God? for of him is my salvation.

2Ps 62:12οὐχὶ τῷ θεῷ ὑποταγήσεται ἡ ψυχή μου παρ’ αὐτοῦ γὰρ τὸ σωτήριόν μου2
Ps 62:1
My soul rests in God alone.
My salvation is from him.
Ps 62:2Ps 62:2אַ֣ךְ אֶל־אֱ֭לֹהִים דּֽוּמִיָּ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ יְשׁוּעָתִֽי׃Ps 62:1
My soul rests in God alone.
My salvation is from him.
3Ps 62:23καὶ γὰρ αὐτὸς θεός μου καὶ σωτήρ μου ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου οὐ μὴ σαλευθῶ ἐπὶ πλεῖονPs 62:2
For he is my God, and my saviour; my helper, I shall not be moved very much.
Ps 62:2
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress—
I will never be greatly shaken.
Ps 62:3Ps 62:3אַךְ־ה֣וּא צ֭וּרִי וִֽישׁוּעָתִ֑י מִ֝שְׂגַּבִּ֗י לֹא־אֶמּ֥וֹט רַבָּֽה׃Ps 62:2
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress—
I will never be greatly shaken.
4Ps 62:34ἕως πότε ἐπιτίθεσθε ἐπ’ ἄνθρωπον φονεύετε πάντες ὡς τοίχῳ κεκλιμένῳ καὶ φραγμῷ ὠσμένῳPs 62:3
How long will ye assault a man? ye are all slaughtering as with a bowed wall and a broken hedge.
Ps 62:3
How long will you assault a man,
would all of you throw him down,
Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
Ps 62:4Ps 62:4עַד־אָ֤נָה ׀ תְּהֽוֹתְת֣וּ עַל אִישׁ֮ תְּרָצְּח֪וּ כֻ֫לְּכֶ֥ם כְּקִ֥יר נָט֑וּי גָּ֝דֵ֗ר הַדְּחוּיָֽה׃Ps 62:3
How long will you assault a man,
would all of you throw him down,
Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
5Ps 62:45πλὴν τὴν τιμήν μου ἐβουλεύσαντο ἀπώσασθαι ἔδραμον ἐν ψεύδει τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν εὐλογοῦσαν καὶ τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῶν κατηρῶντο διάψαλμαPs 62:4
They only took counsel to set at nought mine honour: I ran in thirst: with their mouth they blessed, but with their heart they cursed. Pause.
Ps 62:4
They fully intend to throw him down from his lofty place.
They delight in lies.
They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly.
Selah.
Ps 62:5Ps 62:5אַ֤ךְ מִשְּׂאֵת֨וֹ ׀ יָעֲצ֣וּ לְהַדִּיחַ֮ יִרְצ֪וּ כָ֫זָ֥ב בְּפִ֥יו יְבָרֵ֑כוּ וּ֝בְקִרְבָּ֗ם יְקַלְלוּ־סֶֽלָה׃Ps 62:4
They fully intend to throw him down from his lofty place.
They delight in lies.
They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly.

6Ps 62:56πλὴν τῷ θεῷ ὑποτάγηθι ἡ ψυχή μου ὅτι παρ’ αὐτοῦ ἡ ὑπομονή μουPs 62:5
Nevertheless do thou, my soul, be subjected to God; for of him is my patient hope.
Ps 62:5
My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
for my expectation is from him.
Ps 62:6Ps 62:6אַ֣ךְ לֵ֭אלֹהִים דּ֣וֹמִּי נַפְשִׁ֑י כִּי־מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ תִּקְוָתִֽי׃Ps 62:5
My soul, wait in silence for God alone,

7Ps 62:67ὅτι αὐτὸς θεός μου καὶ σωτήρ μου ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου οὐ μὴ μεταναστεύσωPs 62:6
For he is my God and my Saviour; my helper, I shall not be moved.
Ps 62:6
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress.

Ps 62:7Ps 62:7אַךְ־ה֣וּא צ֭וּרִי וִֽישׁוּעָתִ֑י מִ֝שְׂגַּבִּ֗י לֹ֣א אֶמּֽוֹט׃Ps 62:6
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress.
I will not be shaken.
8Ps 62:78ἐπὶ τῷ θεῷ τὸ σωτήριόν μου καὶ ἡ δόξα μου ὁ θεὸς τῆς βοηθείας μου καὶ ἡ ἐλπίς μου ἐπὶ τῷ θεῷPs 62:7
In God is my salvation and my glory: he is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.
Ps 62:7
With God is my salvation and my honor.
The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Ps 62:8Ps 62:8עַל־אֱ֭לֹהִים יִשְׁעִ֣י וּכְבוֹדִ֑י צוּר־עֻזִּ֥י מַ֝חְסִ֗י בֵּֽאלֹהִֽים׃Ps 62:7
With God is my salvation and my honor.
The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
9Ps 62:89ἐλπίσατε ἐπ’ αὐτόν πᾶσα συναγωγὴ λαοῦ ἐκχέετε ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ὁ θεὸς βοηθὸς ἡμῶν διάψαλμαPs 62:8
Hope in him, all ye congregation of the people; pour out your hearts before him, for God is our helper. Pause.
Ps 62:8
Trust in him at all times, you people.
Pour out your heart before him.
God is a refuge for us.
Selah.
Ps 62:9Ps 62:9בִּטְח֘וּ ב֤וֹ בְכָל־עֵ֨ת ׀ עָ֗ם שִׁפְכֽוּ־לְפָנָ֥יו לְבַבְכֶ֑ם אֱלֹהִ֖ים מַחֲסֶה־לָּ֣נוּ סֶֽלָה׃Ps 62:8
Trust in him at all times, you people.
Pour out your heart before him.
God is a refuge for us.
Selah.
10Ps 62:910πλὴν μάταιοι οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων ψευδεῖς οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων ἐν ζυγοῖς τοῦ ἀδικῆσαι αὐτοὶ ἐκ ματαιότητος ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτόPs 62:9
But the sons of men are vain; the sons of men are false, so as to be deceitful in the balances; they are all alike formed out of vanity.
Ps 62:9
Surely men of low degree are just a breath,
and men of high degree are a lie.
In the balances they will go up.
They are together lighter than a breath.
Ps 62:10Ps 62:10אַ֤ךְ ׀ הֶ֥בֶל בְּנֵֽי־אָדָם֮ כָּזָ֪ב בְּנֵ֫י אִ֥ישׁ בְּמֹאזְנַ֥יִם לַעֲל֑וֹת הֵ֝֗מָּה מֵהֶ֥בֶל יָֽחַד׃Ps 62:9
Surely men of low degree are just a breath,
and men of high degree are a lie.
In the balances they will go up.
They are together lighter than a breath.
11Ps 62:1011μὴ ἐλπίζετε ἐπὶ ἀδικίαν καὶ ἐπὶ ἅρπαγμα μὴ ἐπιποθεῖτε πλοῦτος ἐὰν ῥέῃ μὴ προστίθεσθε καρδίανPs 62:10
Trust not in unrighteousness, and lust not after robberies: if wealth should flow in, set not your heart upon it.
Ps 62:10
Don’t trust in oppression.
Don’t become vain in robbery.
If riches increase,
don’t set your heart on them.
Ps 62:11Ps 62:11אַל־תִּבְטְח֣וּ בְעֹשֶׁק֮ וּבְגָזֵ֪ל אַל־תֶּ֫הְבָּ֥לוּ חַ֤יִל ׀ כִּֽי־יָנ֑וּב אַל־תָּשִׁ֥יתוּ לֵֽב׃Ps 62:10
Don’t trust in oppression.
Don’t become vain in robbery.
If riches increase,
don’t set your heart on them.
12Ps 62:1112ἅπαξ ἐλάλησεν ὁ θεός δύο ταῦτα ἤκουσαPs 62:11
God has spoken once, and I have heard these two things, that power is of God;
Ps 62:11
God has spoken once;
twice I have heard this,
that power belongs to God.
Ps 62:12Ps 62:12אַחַ֤ת ׀ דִּבֶּ֬ר אֱלֹהִ֗ים שְׁתַּֽיִם־ז֥וּ שָׁמָ֑עְתִּי כִּ֥י עֹ֝֗ז לֵאלֹהִֽים׃Ps 62:11
God has spoken once;
twice I have heard this,
that power belongs to God.
13Ps 62:1213ὅτι τὸ κράτος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ σοί κύριε τὸ ἔλεος ὅτι σὺ ἀποδώσεις ἑκάστῳ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦPs 62:12
and mercy is thine, O Lord; for thou wilt recompense every one according to his works.
Ps 62:12
Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness,
for you reward every man according to his work.
Ps 62:13Ps 62:13וּלְךָֽ־אֲדֹנָ֥י חָ֑סֶד כִּֽי־אַתָּ֨ה תְשַׁלֵּ֖ם לְאִ֣ישׁ כְּֽמַעֲשֵֽׂהוּ׃Ps 62:12
Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness,
for you reward every man according to his work.
