A Psalm of instruction by David. Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, and who sins are covered.

Ps 32:1Ps 32:1לְדָוִ֗ד מַ֫שְׂכִּ֥יל אַשְׁרֵ֥י נְֽשׂוּי־פֶּ֗שַׁע כְּס֣וּי חֲטָאָֽה׃Ps 32:1
Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.
2Ps 32:22ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν κιθάρᾳ ἐν ψαλτηρίῳ δεκαχόρδῳ ψάλατε αὐτῷPs 32:2
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin, and whose mouth there is no guile.

Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre.
Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings.Consent verbatim to The Lord with the lyre of the psaltry and play to Him with the harp of ten strings.

Ps 32:2Ps 32:2אַ֥שְֽׁרֵי אָדָ֗ם לֹ֤א יַחְשֹׁ֬ב יְהוָ֣ה ל֣וֹ עָוֹ֑ן וְאֵ֖ין בְּרוּח֣וֹ רְמִיָּה׃Ps 32:2
Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh doesn’t impute iniquity,
in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3Ps 32:33ᾄσατε αὐτῷ ᾆσμα καινόν καλῶς ψάλατε ἐν ἀλαλαγμῷPs 32:3
Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day.

When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.

4Ps 32:44ὅτι εὐθὴς ὁ λόγος τοῦ κυρίου καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ ἐν πίστειPs 32:4
For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in me. Pause.
Ps 32:4
For the word of Yahweh is right.
All his work is done in faithfulness.Because the Word of The Lord is straight and all His works in faithfulness

For day and night your hand was heavy on me.
My strength was sapped in the heat of summer.

5Ps 32:55ἀγαπᾷ ἐλεημοσύνην καὶ κρίσιν τοῦ ἐλέους κυρίου πλήρης ἡ γῆPs 32:5
I acknowledged my sin, and hid not mine iniquity: I said, I will confess mine iniquity to the Lord against myself; and thou forgavest the ungodliness of my heart. Pause.

He loves righteousness and justice.
The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh.He loves mercy and judgment. The whole earth is full of the mercy of The Lord!

I didn’t hide my iniquity.
I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.

6Ps 32:66τῷ λόγῳ τοῦ κυρίου οἱ οὐρανοὶ ἐστερεώθησαν καὶ τῷ πνεύματι τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ πᾶσα ἡ δύναμις αὐτῶνPs 32:6
Therefore shall every holy one pray to thee in a fit time: only in the deluge of many waters they shall not come nigh to him.

By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made;
all their army by the breath of his mouth.By the Word of the Lord the heavens were solidified and by the Spirit of His mouth the ability of them.

For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found.
Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.
7Ps 32:77συνάγων ὡς ἀσκὸν ὕδατα θαλάσσης τιθεὶς ἐν θησαυροῖς ἀβύσσουςPs 32:7
Thou art my refuge from the affliction that encompasses me; my joy, to deliver me from them that have compassed me. Pause.

He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap.
He lays up the deeps in storehouses.Gathering together the waters of the sea like wine-skin while placing the dungeons (caverns) in the abyss.

You will preserve me from trouble.

I will instruct thee and guide thee in this way wherein thou shalt go: I will fix mine eyes upon thee.

Let all the earth fear Yahweh.
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.Let all the earth fear The Lord and let all those dwelling in all inhabited regions tremble before Him.

Be ye not as horse and mule, which have no understanding; but thou must constrain their jaws with bit and curb, lest they should come nigh to thee.

He commanded, and it stood firm.Because He spoke and they became; He commanded and they were created.

Don’t be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding,
who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.
10Ps 32:1010κύριος διασκεδάζει βουλὰς ἐθνῶν ἀθετεῖ δὲ λογισμοὺς λαῶν καὶ ἀθετεῖ βουλὰς ἀρχόντωνPs 32:10
Many are the scourges of the sinner: but him that hopes in the Lord mercy shall compass about.

Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing.
He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.The Lord disperses the plans of the nations while setting at naught the logic of the people and setting at naught the plans of the rulers.

Many sorrows come to the wicked,
but loving kindness shall surround him who trusts in Yahweh.

Be glad in the Lord, and exult, ye righteous: and glory, all ye that are upright in heart.

The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever,
the thoughts of his heart to all generations.Yet the will of the Lord remains forever, the wisdom of His heart from generation to generation.

a ετοιμου: prepared, ready.. this is the word Jesus uses to refer to the "prepared" feast in Matt 22:8 and to the condition one must be in at the hour you don't expect the Son of Man to come in Matt 24:44 and the virgins waiting for the return of the bridegroom in Matt 25:10 and the "large upper room" prepared for the feast in Mark 14:15
