τοῦ Δαυιδ πρὸ τοῦ χρισθῆναι κύριος φωτισμός μου καὶ σωτήρ μου τίνα φοβηθήσομαι κύριος ὑπερασπιστὴς τῆς ζωῆς μου ἀπὸ τίνος δειλιάσω
Ps 27:1
A Psalm of David, before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my Saviour; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the defender of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Ps 27:0-1(0) ¶By Of David. before the coronation. (1)
Yahweh (The) Lord (is) my light and my salvation savior.;
Whom shall whom will I fear?
Yahweh (The) Lord (is the) strength shielder of my life.;
Of from whom shall will I be afraid cower?

Ps 27:1Ps 27:1לְדָוִ֨ד ׀ יְהוָ֤ה ׀ אוֹרִ֣י וְ֭יִשְׁעִי מִמִּ֣י אִירָ֑א יְהוָ֥ה מָֽעוֹז־חַ֝יַּ֗י מִמִּ֥י אֶפְחָֽד׃Ps 27:0-1
(0) ¶By David. (1)
Yahweh is my light and my salvation.
Whom shall I fear?
Yahweh is the strength of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2Ps 27:22ἐν τῷ ἐγγίζειν ἐπ’ ἐμὲ κακοῦντας τοῦ φαγεῖν τὰς σάρκας μου οἱ θλίβοντές με καὶ οἱ ἐχθροί μου αὐτοὶ ἠσθένησαν καὶ ἔπεσανPs 27:2
When evil-doers drew nigh against me to eat up my flesh, my persecutors and mine enemies, they fainted and fell.
Ps 27:2
When evildoers villains came at closed in on me to eat up my flesh,
even my adversaries and my foesmy enemies and those constricting me, they stumbled weakened and fell.

Ps 27:2Ps 27:2בִּקְרֹ֤ב עָלַ֨י ׀ מְרֵעִים֮ לֶאֱכֹ֪ל אֶת־בְּשָׂ֫רִ֥י צָרַ֣י וְאֹיְבַ֣י לִ֑י הֵ֖מָּה כָשְׁל֣וּ וְנָפָֽלוּ׃Ps 27:2
When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh,
even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.
3Ps 27:33ἐὰν παρατάξηται ἐπ’ ἐμὲ παρεμβολή οὐ φοβηθήσεται ἡ καρδία μου ἐὰν ἐπαναστῇ ἐπ’ ἐμὲ πόλεμος ἐν ταύτῃ ἐγὼ ἐλπίζωPs 27:3
Though an army should set itself in array against me, my heart shall not be afraid: though war should rise up against me, in this am I confident.
Ps 27:3
Though (So) if an army (camp) should ever encamp be mobilized against me,
my heart shall will not fear.;
Though if war should ever rise up against upon me,
even then in this I will be confident hope.

Ps 27:3Ps 27:3אִם־תַּחֲנֶ֬ה עָלַ֨י ׀ מַחֲנֶה֮ לֹֽא־יִירָ֪א לִ֫בִּ֥י אִם־תָּק֣וּם עָ֭לַי מִלְחָמָ֑ה בְּ֝זֹ֗את אֲנִ֣י בוֹטֵֽחַ׃Ps 27:3
Though an army should encamp against me,

4Ps 27:44μίαν ᾐτησάμην παρὰ κυρίου ταύτην ἐκζητήσω τοῦ κατοικεῖν με ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς μου τοῦ θεωρεῖν με τὴν τερπνότητα τοῦ κυρίου καὶ ἐπισκέπτεσθαι τὸν ναὸν αὐτοῦPs 27:4
One thing have I asked of the Lord, this will I earnestly seek: that I should dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, that I should behold the fair beauty of the Lord, and survey his temple.
Ps 27:4
One thing I have asked of Yahweh from (the) Lord, that this I will seek after out,:
that I may dwell me residing in the house of Yahweh (the) Lord all the days of my life,;
me to see Yahweh’s observing the beauty pleasure of the Lord,
and to inquire in overseeing his temple.;

Ps 27:4Ps 27:4אַחַ֤ת ׀ שָׁאַ֣לְתִּי מֵֽאֵת־יְהוָה֮ אוֹתָ֪הּ אֲבַ֫קֵּ֥שׁ שִׁבְתִּ֣י בְּבֵית־יְ֭הוָה כָּל־יְמֵ֣י חַיַּ֑י לַחֲז֥וֹת בְּנֹֽעַם־יְ֝הוָ֗ה וּלְבַקֵּ֥ר בְּהֵיכָלֽוֹ׃Ps 27:4
One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after,
that I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life,
to see Yahweh’s beauty,
and to inquire in his temple.
5Ps 27:55ὅτι ἔκρυψέν με ἐν σκηνῇ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ κακῶν μου ἐσκέπασέν με ἐν ἀποκρύφῳ τῆς σκηνῆς αὐτοῦ ἐν πέτρᾳ ὕψωσέν μεPs 27:5
For in the day of mine afflictions he hid me in his tabernacle: he sheltered me in the secret of his tabernacle; he set me up on a rock.
Ps 27:5
For in the day of trouble because he will keep hid me secretly in (his) pavilion tent in a day of villainy.
He sheltered me In in (the) covert concealment of his tabernacle tent, he will hide me in a rock.[a]
He will lift elevated me up on a rock.

Ps 27:5Ps 27:5כִּ֤י יִצְפְּנֵ֨נִי ׀ בְּסֻכֹּה֮ בְּי֪וֹם רָ֫עָ֥ה יַ֭סְתִּרֵנִי בְּסֵ֣תֶר אָהֳל֑וֹ בְּ֝צ֗וּר יְרוֹמְמֵֽנִי׃Ps 27:5
For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion.
In the covert of his tabernacle he will hide me.
He will lift me up on a rock.
6Ps 27:66καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ ὕψωσεν τὴν κεφαλήν μου ἐπ’ ἐχθρούς μου ἐκύκλωσα καὶ ἔθυσα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ αὐτοῦ θυσίαν ἀλαλαγμοῦ ᾄσομαι καὶ ψαλῶ τῷ κυρίῳPs 27:6
And now, behold, he has lifted up mine head over mine enemies: I went round and offered in his tabernacle the sacrifice of joy; I will sing even sing psalms to the Lord.
Ps 27:6
Now and now, behold, he elevated my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me.
I circled and I will offered a sacrifices of joy in his tent.
Of clamor I will sing, yes, I will sing praises and make music to Yahweh the Lord.

I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tent.
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to Yahweh.
7Ps 27:77εἰσάκουσον κύριε τῆς φωνῆς μου ἧς ἐκέκραξα ἐλέησόν με καὶ εἰσάκουσόν μουPs 27:7
Hear, O Lord, my voice which I have uttered aloud: pity me, and hearken to me.
Ps 27:7
Hear, Yahweh Lord, when I cry with my voice which I cried out.
Have Show me mercy also on me, and answer hear me.

My heart said to thee, I have diligently sought thy face: thy face, O Lord, I will seek.
Ps 27:8
When To you my heart said, “Seek my My face sought your face, Lord.
my heart said to you, “I will seek your face, Yahweh.”I will seek:[a]

When you said, “Seek my face,”
my heart said to you, “I will seek your face, Yahweh.”
9Ps 27:99μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ μὴ ἐκκλίνῃς ἐν ὀργῇ ἀπὸ τοῦ δούλου σου βοηθός μου γενοῦ μὴ ἀποσκορακίσῃς με καὶ μὴ ἐγκαταλίπῃς με ὁ θεὸς ὁ σωτήρ μουPs 27:9
Turn not thy face away from me, turn not thou away from thy servant in anger: be thou my helper, forsake me not; and, O God my Saviour, overlook me not.
Ps 27:9
Don’t hide not should you turn your face away from me.;
Don’t put not should you recoil in anger from your servant away in anger.
You have been Be my helper.
Don’t abandon Not should you repudiate me,

Don’t hide your face from me.
Don’t put your servant away in anger.
You have been my help.

10Ps 27:1010ὅτι ὁ πατήρ μου καὶ ἡ μήτηρ μου ἐγκατέλιπόν με ὁ δὲ κύριος προσελάβετό μεPs 27:10
For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord has taken me to himself.
Ps 27:10
When because my father and my mother forsake deserted me,
then Yahweh will take me upbut the Lord took me under his wing.[a]

When my father and my mother forsake me,
then Yahweh will take me up.

Teach me, O Lord, in thy way, and guide me in a right path, because of mine enemies.
