as wax melts before the fire; and fire shall burn up the enemies, and thy name shall be manifest among the adversaries: at thy presence the nations shall be troubled,
Is 64:2
as when fire kindles the brushwood, and the fire causes the waters to boil; to make your name known to your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at your presence!
Is 64:1Is 64:1כִּקְדֹ֧חַ אֵ֣שׁ הֲמָסִ֗ים מַ֚יִם תִּבְעֶה־אֵ֔שׁ לְהוֹדִ֥יעַ שִׁמְךָ֖ לְצָרֶ֑יךָ מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ גּוֹיִ֥ם יִרְגָּֽזוּ׃Is 64:2

2Is 64:32ὅταν ποιῇς τὰ ἔνδοξα τρόμος λήμψεται ἀπὸ σοῦ ὄρηIs 64:3
whenever thou shalt work gloriously; trembling from thee shall take hold upon the mountains.
Is 64:3
When you did awesome things which we didn’t look for, you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence.
Is 64:2Is 64:2בַּעֲשׂוֹתְךָ֥ נוֹרָא֖וֹת לֹ֣א נְקַוֶּ֑ה יָרַ֕דְתָּ מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ הָרִ֥ים נָזֹֽלּוּ׃Is 64:3

3Is 64:43ἀπὸ τοῦ αἰῶνος οὐκ ἠκούσαμεν οὐδὲ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἡμῶν εἶδον θεὸν πλὴν σοῦ καὶ τὰ ἔργα σου ἃ ποιήσεις τοῖς ὑπομένουσιν ἔλεονIs 64:4
From of old we have not heard, neither have our eyes seen a God beside thee, and thy works which thou wilt perform to them that wait for mercy.
Is 64:4
For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen a God besides you, who works for him who waits for him.
Is 64:3Is 64:3וּמֵעוֹלָ֥ם לֹא־שָׁמְע֖וּ לֹ֣א הֶאֱזִ֑ינוּ עַ֣יִן לֹֽא־רָאָ֗תָה אֱלֹהִים֙ זוּלָ֣תְךָ֔ יַעֲשֶׂ֖ה לִמְחַכֵּה־לֽוֹ׃Is 64:4

4Is 64:54συναντήσεται γὰρ τοῖς ποιοῦσιν τὸ δίκαιον καὶ τῶν ὁδῶν σου μνησθήσονται ἰδοὺ σὺ ὠργίσθης καὶ ἡμεῖς ἡμάρτομεν διὰ τοῦτο ἐπλανήθημενIs 64:5
For these blessings shall happen to them that work righteousness, and they shall remember thy ways: behold, thou wast angry and we have sinned; therefore we have erred,
Is 64:5
You meet him who rejoices and works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Behold, you were angry, and we sinned. We have been in sin for a long time; and shall we be saved?
Is 64:4Is 64:4פָּגַ֤עְתָּ אֶת־שָׂשׂ֙ וְעֹ֣שֵׂה צֶ֔דֶק בִּדְרָכֶ֖יךָ יִזְכְּר֑וּךָ הֵן־אַתָּ֤ה קָצַ֙פְתָּ֙ וַֽנֶּחֱטָ֔א בָּהֶ֥ם עוֹלָ֖ם וְנִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃Is 64:5
You meet him who rejoices and works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Behold, you were angry, and we sinned. We have been in sin for a long time; and shall we be saved?
5Is 64:65καὶ ἐγενήθημεν ὡς ἀκάθαρτοι πάντες ἡμεῖς ὡς ῥάκος ἀποκαθημένης πᾶσα ἡ δικαιοσύνη ἡμῶν καὶ ἐξερρύημεν ὡς φύλλα διὰ τὰς ἀνομίας ἡμῶν οὕτως ἄνεμος οἴσει ἡμᾶςIs 64:6
and we are all become as unclean, and all our righteousness as a filthy rag: and we have fallen as leaves because of our iniquities; thus the wind shall carry us away.
Is 64:6For we have all become as one who is unclean, and all our righteousness is as a polluted garment: and we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

a Micah 6:5-8 we have nothing to offer on befalf of our sin so the Luke 2:10 great news is in 2Cor5:20-21 "He has made Him to be sin for us so that we might be the righteousness of God in Him" <--best news ever!

For we have all become as one who is unclean, and all our righteousness is as a polluted garment: and we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
6Is 64:76καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ἐπικαλούμενος τὸ ὄνομά σου καὶ ὁ μνησθεὶς ἀντιλαβέσθαι σου ὅτι ἀπέστρεψας τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀφ’ ἡμῶν καὶ παρέδωκας ἡμᾶς διὰ τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶνIs 64:7
And there is none that calls upon thy name, or that remembers to take hold on thee: for thou hast turned thy face away from us, and hast delivered us up because of our sins.
Is 64:7
There is none who calls on your name, who stirs up himself to take hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us, and have consumed us by means of our iniquities.
Is 64:6Is 64:6וְאֵין־קוֹרֵ֣א בְשִׁמְךָ֔ מִתְעוֹרֵ֖ר לְהַחֲזִ֣יק בָּ֑ךְ כִּֽי־הִסְתַּ֤רְתָּ פָנֶ֙יךָ֙ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ וַתְּמוּגֵ֖נוּ בְּיַד־עֲוֹנֵֽנוּ׃Is 64:7
There is none who calls on your name, who stirs up himself to take hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us, and have consumed us by means of our iniquities.
7Is 64:87καὶ νῦν κύριε πατὴρ ἡμῶν σύ ἡμεῖς δὲ πηλὸς ἔργον τῶν χειρῶν σου πάντεςIs 64:8
And now, O Lord, thou art our Father, and we are clay, all of us the work of thine hands.
Is 64:8
But now, Yahweh, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you our potter; and we all are the work of your hand.
Is 64:7Is 64:7וְעַתָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אָבִ֣ינוּ אָ֑תָּה אֲנַ֤חְנוּ הַחֹ֙מֶר֙ וְאַתָּ֣ה יֹצְרֵ֔נוּ וּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָדְךָ֖ כֻּלָּֽנוּ׃Is 64:8
But now, Yahweh, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you our potter; and we all are the work of your hand.
8Is 64:98μὴ ὀργίζου ἡμῖν σφόδρα καὶ μὴ ἐν καιρῷ μνησθῇς ἁμαρτιῶν ἡμῶν καὶ νῦν ἐπίβλεψον ὅτι λαός σου πάντες ἡμεῖςIs 64:9
Be not very wroth with us, and remember not our sins for ever; but now look on us, for we are all thy people.
Is 64:9
Don’t be furious, Yahweh, neither remember iniquity forever: see, look, we beg you, we are all your people.
Is 64:8Is 64:8אַל־תִּקְצֹ֤ף יְהוָה֙ עַד־מְאֹ֔ד וְאַל־לָעַ֖ד תִּזְכֹּ֣ר עָוֹ֑ן הֵ֥ן הַבֶּט־נָ֖א עַמְּךָ֥ כֻלָּֽנוּ׃Is 64:9
Don’t be furious, Yahweh, neither remember iniquity forever: see, look, we beg you, we are all your people.
9Is 64:109πόλις τοῦ ἁγίου σου ἐγενήθη ἔρημος Σιων ὡς ἔρημος ἐγενήθη Ιερουσαλημ εἰς κατάρανIs 64:10
The city of thy holiness has become desolate, Sion has become as a wilderness, Jerusalem a curse.
Is 64:10
Your holy cities are become a wilderness, Zion is become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
Is 64:9Is 64:9עָרֵ֥י קָדְשְׁךָ֖ הָי֣וּ מִדְבָּ֑ר צִיּוֹן֙ מִדְבָּ֣ר הָיָ֔תָה יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם שְׁמָמָֽה׃Is 64:10
Your holy cities are become a wilderness, Zion is become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.

The house, our sanctuary, and the glory which our fathers blessed, has been burnt with fire: and all our glorious things have gone to ruin.

Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised you, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste.
Is 64:10Is 64:10בֵּ֧ית קָדְשֵׁ֣נוּ וְתִפְאַרְתֵּ֗נוּ אֲשֶׁ֤ר הִֽלְל֙וּךָ֙ אֲבֹתֵ֔ינוּ הָיָ֖ה לִשְׂרֵ֣פַת אֵ֑שׁ וְכָל־מַחֲמַדֵּ֖ינוּ הָיָ֥ה לְחָרְבָּֽה׃Is 64:11
Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised you, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste.
11Is 64:1211καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶσι τούτοις ἀνέσχου κύριε καὶ ἐσιώπησας καὶ ἐταπείνωσας ἡμᾶς σφόδραIs 64:12
And for all these things thou, O Lord, has withholden, thyself, and been silent, and hast brought us very low.
Is 64:12
Will you refrain yourself for these things, Yahweh? Will you hold your peace, and afflict us very severely?
Is 64:11Is 64:11הַעַל־אֵ֥לֶּה תִתְאַפַּ֖ק יְהוָ֑ה תֶּחֱשֶׁ֥ה וּתְעַנֵּ֖נוּ עַד־מְאֹֽד׃ ס Is 64:12
Will you refrain yourself for these things, Yahweh? Will you hold your peace, and afflict us very severely?
