2Sg 7:12τί ὡραιώθησαν διαβήματά σου ἐν ὑποδήμασιν θύγατερ Ναδαβ ῥυθμοὶ μηρῶν σου ὅμοιοι ὁρμίσκοις ἔργῳ χειρῶν τεχνίτουSg 7:1
Thy steps are beautiful in shoes, O daughter of the prince: the joints of thy thighs are like chains, the work of the craftsman.

Your rounded thighs are like jewels,
the work of the hands of a skillful workman.

How beautiful are your feet in sandals, prince’s daughter!
Your rounded thighs are like jewels,
the work of the hands of a skillful workman.
3Sg 7:23ὀμφαλός σου κρατὴρ τορευτὸς μὴ ὑστερούμενος κρᾶμα κοιλία σου θιμωνιὰ σίτου πεφραγμένη ἐν κρίνοιςSg 7:2
Thy navel is as a turned bowl, not wanting liquor; thy belly is as a heap of wheat set about with lilies.

Your body is like a round goblet,

Thy neck is as an ivory tower; thine eyes are as pools in Esebon, by the gates of the daughter of many: thy nose is as the tower of Libanus, looking toward Damascus.

Your neck is like an ivory tower.
Your eyes are like the pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bathrabbim.
Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon which looks toward Damascus.
Sg 7:5Sg 7:5צַוָּארֵ֖ךְ כְּמִגְדַּ֣ל הַשֵּׁ֑ן עֵינַ֜יִךְ בְּרֵכ֣וֹת בְּחֶשְׁבּ֗וֹן עַל־שַׁ֙עַר֙ בַּת־רַבִּ֔ים אַפֵּךְ֙ כְּמִגְדַּ֣ל הַלְּבָנ֔וֹן צוֹפֶ֖ה פְּנֵ֥י דַמָּֽשֶׂק׃Sg 7:4
Your neck is like an ivory tower.
Your eyes are like the pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bathrabbim.
Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon which looks toward Damascus.
6Sg 7:56κεφαλή σου ἐπὶ σὲ ὡς Κάρμηλος καὶ πλόκιον κεφαλῆς σου ὡς πορφύρα βασιλεὺς δεδεμένος ἐν παραδρομαῖςSg 7:5
Thy head upon thee is as Carmel, and the curls of thy hair like scarlet; the king is bound in the galleries.

Your head on you is like Carmel.
The hair of your head like purple.
The king is held captive in its tresses.
Sg 7:6Sg 7:6רֹאשֵׁ֤ךְ עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ כַּכַּרְמֶ֔ל וְדַלַּ֥ת רֹאשֵׁ֖ךְ כָּאַרְגָּמָ֑ן מֶ֖לֶךְ אָס֥וּר בָּרְהָטִֽים׃Sg 7:5
Your head on you is like Carmel.
The hair of your head like purple.
The king is held captive in its tresses.
7Sg 7:67τί ὡραιώθης καὶ τί ἡδύνθης ἀγάπη ἐν τρυφαῖς σουSg 7:6
How beautiful art thou, and how sweet art thou, my love!

8Sg 7:78τοῦτο μέγεθός σου ὡμοιώθη τῷ φοίνικι καὶ οἱ μαστοί σου τοῖς βότρυσινSg 7:7
This is thy greatness in thy delights: thou wast made like a palm tree, and thy breasts to cluster.

This, your stature, is like a palm tree,
your breasts like its fruit.

This, your stature, is like a palm tree,

9Sg 7:89εἶπα ἀναβήσομαι ἐν τῷ φοίνικι κρατήσω τῶν ὕψεων αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσονται δὴ μαστοί σου ὡς βότρυες τῆς ἀμπέλου καὶ ὀσμὴ ῥινός σου ὡς μῆλαSg 7:8
I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of its high boughs: and now shall thy breasts be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose of apples;

I said, “I will climb up into the palm tree.
I will take hold of its fruit.”
Let your breasts be like clusters of the vine,
the smell of your breath like apples,

Sg 7:9Sg 7:9אָמַ֙רְתִּי֙ אֶעֱלֶ֣ה בְתָמָ֔ר אֹֽחֲזָ֖ה בְּסַנְסִנָּ֑יו וְיִֽהְיוּ־נָ֤א שָׁדַ֙יִךְ֙ כְּאֶשְׁכְּל֣וֹת הַגֶּ֔פֶן וְרֵ֥יחַ אַפֵּ֖ךְ כַּתַּפּוּחִֽים׃Sg 7:8
I said, “I will climb up into the palm tree.
I will take hold of its fruit.”
Let your breasts be like clusters of the vine,
the smell of your breath like apples,

10Sg 7:910καὶ λάρυγξ σου ὡς οἶνος ὁ ἀγαθὸς πορευόμενος τῷ ἀδελφιδῷ μου εἰς εὐθύθητα ἱκανούμενος χείλεσίν μου καὶ ὀδοῦσινSg 7:9
and thy throat as good wine, going well with my kinsman, suiting my lips and teeth.

Your mouth like the best wine,
that goes down smoothly for my beloved,
gliding through the lips of those who are asleep.
Sg 7:10Sg 7:10וְחִכֵּ֕ךְ כְּיֵ֥ין הַטּ֛וֹב הוֹלֵ֥ךְ לְדוֹדִ֖י לְמֵישָׁרִ֑ים דּוֹבֵ֖ב שִׂפְתֵ֥י יְשֵׁנִֽים׃Sg 7:9
Your mouth like the best wine,
that goes down smoothly for my beloved,
gliding through the lips of those who are asleep.
11Sg 7:1011ἐγὼ τῷ ἀδελφιδῷ μου καὶ ἐπ’ ἐμὲ ἡ ἐπιστροφὴ αὐτοῦSg 7:10
I am my kinsman's, and his desire is toward me.

13Sg 7:1213ὀρθρίσωμεν εἰς ἀμπελῶνας ἴδωμεν εἰ ἤνθησεν ἡ ἄμπελος ἤνθησεν ὁ κυπρισμός ἤνθησαν αἱ ῥόαι ἐκεῖ δώσω τοὺς μαστούς μου σοίSg 7:12
Let us go early into the vineyards; let us see if the vine has flowered, if the blossoms have appeared, if the pomegranates have blossomed; there will I give thee my breasts.

Let’s go early up to the vineyards.
Let’s see whether the vine has budded,
its blossom is open,
and the pomegranates are in flower.
There I will give you my love.

Let’s go early up to the vineyards.
Let’s see whether the vine has budded,
its blossom is open,
and the pomegranates are in flower.
There I will give you my love.
14Sg 7:1314οἱ μανδραγόραι ἔδωκαν ὀσμήν καὶ ἐπὶ θύραις ἡμῶν πάντα ἀκρόδρυα νέα πρὸς παλαιά ἀδελφιδέ μου ἐτήρησά σοιSg 7:13
The mandrakes have given a smell, and at our doors are all kinds of choice fruits, new and old. O my kinsman, I have kept them for thee.
