Jer 3:1

If a man put away his wife, and she depart from him, and become another man's, shall she return to him any more at all? shall not that woman be utterly defiled? ye thou hast gone a-whoring with many shepherds, and hast returned to me, saith the Lord.

Jer 3:1

¶“They say, ‘If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him, and become another man’s, will he return to her again?’ Wouldn’t that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the prostitute with many lovers; yet return again to me,” says Yahweh.
¶If a man should ever put away his wife, and she should depart from him and become another man's, but returns, she will not return to him being polluted, for is that wife not polluted? And you have prostituted with many shepherds and were returning to me" says the Lord

Jer 3:2

Lift up thine eyes to look straight forward, and see where thou hast not been utterly defiled. Thou hast sat for them by the wayside as a deserted crow, and hast defiled the land with thy fornications and thy wickedness.

Jer 3:2

¶“Lift up your eyes to the bare heights, and see! Where have you not been lain with? You have sat for them by the ways, as an Arabian in the wilderness. You have polluted the land with your prostitution and with your wickedness."Lift up your eyes straight and behold, where have you not been defiled by your ways sat down like a desolate crooked (way) and polluted the land by your promiscuities and your evils.

Jer 3:3

And thou didst retain many shepherds for a stumbling-block to thyself: thou hadst a whore's face, thou didst become shameless toward all.

Jer 3:3

Jer 3:6

And the Lord said to me in the days of Josias the king, Hast thou seen what things the house of Israel has done to me? they have gone on every high mountain, and under every shady tree, and have committed fornication there.

¶Moreover, Yahweh said to me in the days of Josiah the king, “Have you seen that which backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there has played the prostitute.and The Lord said to me, in the days of Josiah the king "Behold what the inhaitants of Israel have done to me. The have journeyed upon every high mountain and below every tree of the groves and fornicated there.

Jer 3:7

And I said after she had committed all these acts of fornication, Turn again to me. Yet she returned not. And faithless Juda saw her faithlessness.

Jer 3:8

And I saw that (for all the sins of which she was convicted, wherein the house of Israel committed adultery, and I put her away, and gave into her hands a bill of divorcement,) yet faithless Juda feared not, but went and herself also committed fornication.

I saw, when, for this very cause that backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorce, yet treacherous Judah, her sister, didn’t fear; but she also went and played the prostitute.and I beheld that around everything the inhabitants of Israel laid hold, she commited adultery so I sent her forth and gave her a scrollᵃ of divorce into her hands and irreconciableᵇ Judah was not afraid but went and fornicated.

Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against Yahweh your God, and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed my voice,’ says Yahweh.”Except you recognize your wrongdoing you have transgressed unto the Lord your God and spread your ways unto those of others, below every tree of the groves yet my voice you disobeyed" says The Lord

Turn, ye children that have revolted, saith the Lord; for I will rule over you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you in to Sion:

I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion.~~"Turn around departed sons" says The Lord "because I possess complete authority over you and I will take you, one out of the the city and two out of the patrilineage and I will lead you into Zion.

It shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land, in those days,” says Yahweh, “they shall say no more, ‘The ark of the covenant of Yahweh!’ neither shall it come to mind; neither shall they remember it; neither shall they miss it; neither shall it be made any more.and it will be when you increase and multiply upon the land, in those days, says The Lord, they will no longer say 'the ark of the covenant of Holy Israel' it will not ascend over heart nor be named, neither will it be checked upon and it will not still be made.
