He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

αἶνος ᾠδῆς τῷ Δαυιδ ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν βοηθείᾳ τοῦ ὑψίστου ἐν σκέπῃ τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ αὐλισθήσεται
Ps 91:1
Praise of a Song, by David. He that dwells in the help of the Highest, shall sojourn under the shelter of the God of heaven.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

2Ps 91:22אֹמַ֗ר לַֽ֭יהוָה מַחְסִ֣י וּמְצוּדָתִ֑י אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י אֶבְטַח־בּֽוֹ׃Ps 91:2
I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.”
Ps 90:2Ps 90:2ἐρεῖ τῷ κυρίῳ ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου εἶ καὶ καταφυγή μου ὁ θεός μου ἐλπιῶ ἐπ’ αὐτόνPs 91:2
He shall say to the Lord, Thou art my helper and my refuge: my God; I will hope in him.

I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.”Say to The Lord "you are my protector and you are my refuge, My God, I will hope upon Him

3Ps 91:33כִּ֤י ה֣וּא יַ֭צִּֽילְךָ מִפַּ֥ח יָק֗וּשׁ מִדֶּ֥בֶר הַוּֽוֹת׃Ps 91:3
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler,
and from the deadly pestilence.
Ps 90:3Ps 90:3ὅτι αὐτὸς ῥύσεταί με ἐκ παγίδος θηρευτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ λόγου ταραχώδουςPs 91:3
For he shall deliver thee from the snare of the hunters, from every troublesome matter.
Ps 91:3
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler,
and from the deadly pestilence.because He will deliver me out of the snare of the hunters and from the word of the terrifying.

4Ps 91:44בְּאֶבְרָת֨וֹ ׀ יָ֣סֶךְ לָ֭ךְ וְתַֽחַת־כְּנָפָ֣יו תֶּחְסֶ֑ה צִנָּ֖ה וְֽסֹחֵרָ֣ה אֲמִתּֽוֹ׃Ps 91:4
He will cover you with his feathers.
Under his wings you will take refuge.
His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
Ps 90:4Ps 90:4ἐν τοῖς μεταφρένοις αὐτοῦ ἐπισκιάσει σοι καὶ ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας αὐτοῦ ἐλπιεῖς ὅπλῳ κυκλώσει σε ἡ ἀλήθεια αὐτοῦPs 91:4
He shall overshadow thee with his shoulders, and thou shalt trust under his wings: his truth shall cover thee with a shield.
Ps 91:4
He will cover you with his feathers.
Under his wings you will take refuge.
His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.He will cover* you with His back and under His wings you will trust, by armor, His truth will encircle you.

5Ps 91:55לֹא־תִ֭ירָא מִפַּ֣חַד לָ֑יְלָה מֵ֝חֵ֗ץ יָע֥וּף יוֹמָֽם׃Ps 91:5
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
nor of the arrow that flies by day;
Ps 90:5Ps 90:5οὐ φοβηθήσῃ ἀπὸ φόβου νυκτερινοῦ ἀπὸ βέλους πετομένου ἡμέραςPs 91:5
Thou shalt not be afraid of terror by night; nor of the arrow flying by day;
Ps 91:5
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
nor of the arrow that flies by day;
6Ps 91:66מִ֭דֶּבֶר בָּאֹ֣פֶל יַהֲלֹ֑ךְ מִ֝קֶּ֗טֶב יָשׁ֥וּד צָהֳרָֽיִם׃Ps 91:6
nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
Ps 90:6Ps 90:6ἀπὸ πράγματος διαπορευομένου ἐν σκότει ἀπὸ συμπτώματος καὶ δαιμονίου μεσημβρινοῦPs 91:6
nor of the evil thing that walks in darkness; nor of calamity, and the evil spirit at noon-day.
Ps 91:6
nor of the pestilencea deed that walks inpasses through in darkness,
nor of the destruction that wastesan occurrence and demon at noonday.

7Ps 91:77יִפֹּ֤ל מִצִּדְּךָ֨ ׀ אֶ֗לֶף וּרְבָבָ֥ה מִימִינֶ֑ךָ אֵ֝לֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א יִגָּֽשׁ׃Ps 91:7
A thousand may fall at your side,
and ten thousand at your right hand;
but it will not come near you.

A thousand may fall at your side,
and ten thousand at your right hand;

8Ps 91:88רַ֭ק בְּעֵינֶ֣יךָ תַבִּ֑יט וְשִׁלֻּמַ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים תִּרְאֶֽה׃Ps 91:8
You will only look with your eyes,
and see the recompense of the wicked.
Ps 90:8Ps 90:8πλὴν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς σου κατανοήσεις καὶ ἀνταπόδοσιν ἁμαρτωλῶν ὄψῃPs 91:8
Only with thine eyes shalt thou observe and see the reward of sinners.
Ps 91:8
You will only look with your eyes,
and see the recompense of the wicked.
9Ps 91:99כִּֽי־אַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה מַחְסִ֑י עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן שַׂ֣מְתָּ מְעוֹנֶֽךָ׃Ps 91:9
Because you have made Yahweh your refuge,
and the Most High your dwelling place,
Ps 90:9Ps 90:9ὅτι σύ κύριε ἡ ἐλπίς μου τὸν ὕψιστον ἔθου καταφυγήν σουPs 91:9
For thou, O Lord, art my hope: thou, my soul, hast made the Most High thy refuge.
Ps 91:9
Because you have made Yahweh your refuge,
and the Most High your dwelling place,Lord are my hope, The Most High you made your refuge

10Ps 91:1010לֹֽא־תְאֻנֶּ֣ה אֵלֶ֣יךָ רָעָ֑ה וְ֝נֶ֗גַע לֹא־יִקְרַ֥ב בְּאָהֳלֶֽךָ׃Ps 91:10
no evil shall happen to you,
neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
Ps 90:10Ps 90:10οὐ προσελεύσεται πρὸς σὲ κακά καὶ μάστιξ οὐκ ἐγγιεῖ τῷ σκηνώματί σουPs 91:10
No evils shall come upon thee, and no scourge shall draw nigh to thy dwelling.
Ps 91:10

11Ps 91:1111כִּ֣י מַ֭לְאָכָיו יְצַוֶּה־לָּ֑ךְ לִ֝שְׁמָרְךָ֗ בְּכָל־דְּרָכֶֽיךָ׃Ps 91:11
For he will put his angels in charge of you,
to guard you in all your ways.
Ps 90:11Ps 90:11ὅτι τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ ἐντελεῖται περὶ σοῦ τοῦ διαφυλάξαι σε ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς σουPs 91:11
For he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Ps 91:11
For he will put his angels in charge of you,
to guard you in all your ways.[a]

They will bear you up in their hands,
so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone.
Ps 90:12Ps 90:12ἐπὶ χειρῶν ἀροῦσίν σε μήποτε προσκόψῃς πρὸς λίθον τὸν πόδα σουPs 91:12
They shall bear thee up on their hands, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Ps 91:12
They will bear you up in their hands,

You will tread on the lion and cobra.
You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.
Ps 90:13Ps 90:13ἐπ’ ἀσπίδα καὶ βασιλίσκον ἐπιβήσῃ καὶ καταπατήσεις λέοντα καὶ δράκονταPs 91:13
Thou shalt tread on the asp and basilisk: and thou shalt trample on the lion and dragon.
Ps 91:13
You will tread on the lion and cobra.
You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.Upon an asp and a prince (or cobra) you will tread and you will trample a lion and dragon.

“Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him.
I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
Ps 90:14Ps 90:14ὅτι ἐπ’ ἐμὲ ἤλπισεν καὶ ῥύσομαι αὐτόν σκεπάσω αὐτόν ὅτι ἔγνω τὸ ὄνομά μουPs 91:14
For he has hoped in me, and I will deliver him: I will protect him, because he has known my name.
Ps 91:14

15Ps 91:1515יִקְרָאֵ֨נִי ׀ וְֽאֶעֱנֵ֗הוּ עִמּֽוֹ־אָנֹכִ֥י בְצָרָ֑ה אֲ֝חַלְּצֵ֗הוּ וַֽאֲכַבְּדֵֽהוּ׃Ps 91:15
He will call on me, and I will answer him.
I will be with him in trouble.
I will deliver him, and honor him.
Ps 90:15Ps 90:15ἐπικαλέσεταί με καὶ εἰσακούσομαι αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰμι ἐν θλίψει καὶ ἐξελοῦμαι καὶ δοξάσω αὐτόνPs 91:15
He shall call upon me, and I will hearken to him: I am with him in affliction; and I will deliver him, and glorify him.
Ps 91:15
He will call on me, and I will answer him.
I will be with him in trouble.
I will deliver him, and honor him.
16Ps 91:1616אֹ֣רֶךְ יָ֭מִים אַשְׂבִּיעֵ֑הוּ וְ֝אַרְאֵ֗הוּ בִּֽישׁוּעָתִֽי׃Ps 91:16
I will satisfy him with long life,
and show him my salvation.”
Ps 90:16Ps 90:16μακρότητα ἡμερῶν ἐμπλήσω αὐτὸν καὶ δείξω αὐτῷ τὸ σωτήριόν μουPs 91:16
I will satisfy him with length of days, and shew him my salvation.
Ps 91:16
I will satisfy him with long life,
and show him my salvation.”
