εἰς τὸ τέλος ὑπὲρ τῶν κρυφίων τοῦ υἱοῦ ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ
Ps 9:1
For the end, a Psalm of David, concerning the secrets of the Son. I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will recount all thy wonderful works.

2Ps 9:12אוֹדֶ֣ה יְ֭הוָה בְּכָל־לִבִּ֑י אֲ֝סַפְּרָ֗ה כָּל־נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃Ps 9:1
I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart.
I will tell of all your marvelous works.
Ps 9:2Ps 9:2ἐξομολογήσομαί σοι κύριε ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ μου διηγήσομαι πάντα τὰ θαυμάσιά σου2
Ps 9:1
I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart.
I will tell of all your marvelous works.
3Ps 9:23אֶשְׂמְחָ֣ה וְאֶעֶלְצָ֣ה בָ֑ךְ אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה שִׁמְךָ֣ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃Ps 9:2
I will be glad and rejoice in you.
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
Ps 9:3Ps 9:3εὐφρανθήσομαι καὶ ἀγαλλιάσομαι ἐν σοί ψαλῶ τῷ ὀνόματί σου ὕψιστεPs 9:2
I will be glad and exult in thee: I will sing to thy name, O thou Most High.
Ps 9:2
I will be glad and rejoice in you.
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
4Ps 9:34בְּשׁוּב־אוֹיְבַ֥י אָח֑וֹר יִכָּשְׁל֥וּ וְ֝יֹאבְד֗וּ מִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃Ps 9:3
When my enemies turn back,
they stumble and perish in your presence.
Ps 9:4Ps 9:4ἐν τῷ ἀποστραφῆναι τὸν ἐχθρόν μου εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω ἀσθενήσουσιν καὶ ἀπολοῦνται ἀπὸ προσώπου σουPs 9:3
When mine enemies are turned back, they shall be feeble and perish at thy presence.
Ps 9:3
When my enemies turn back,
they stumble and perish in your presence.
5Ps 9:45כִּֽי־עָ֭שִׂיתָ מִשְׁפָּטִ֣י וְדִינִ֑י יָשַׁ֥בְתָּ לְ֝כִסֵּ֗א שׁוֹפֵ֥ט צֶֽדֶק׃Ps 9:4
For you have maintained my just cause.
You sit on the throne judging righteously.
Ps 9:5Ps 9:5ὅτι ἐποίησας τὴν κρίσιν μου καὶ τὴν δίκην μου ἐκάθισας ἐπὶ θρόνου ὁ κρίνων δικαιοσύνηνPs 9:4
For thou hast maintained my cause and my right; thou satest on the throne, that judgest righteousness.
Ps 9:4
For you have maintained my just cause.
You sit on the throne judging righteously.
6Ps 9:56גָּעַ֣רְתָּ ג֭וֹיִם אִבַּ֣דְתָּ רָשָׁ֑ע שְׁמָ֥ם מָ֝חִ֗יתָ לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃Ps 9:5
You have rebuked the nations.
You have destroyed the wicked.
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
Ps 9:6Ps 9:6ἐπετίμησας ἔθνεσιν καὶ ἀπώλετο ὁ ἀσεβής τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῶν ἐξήλειψας εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνοςPs 9:5
Thou hast rebuked the nations, and the ungodly one has perished; thou hast blotted out their name for ever, even for ever and ever.
Ps 9:5
You have rebuked the nations.
You have destroyed the wicked.
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
7Ps 9:67הָֽאוֹיֵ֨ב ׀ תַּ֥מּוּ חֳרָב֗וֹת לָ֫נֶ֥צַח וְעָרִ֥ים נָתַ֑שְׁתָּ אָבַ֖ד זִכְרָ֣ם הֵֽמָּה׃Ps 9:6
The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin.
The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
Ps 9:7Ps 9:7τοῦ ἐχθροῦ ἐξέλιπον αἱ ῥομφαῖαι εἰς τέλος καὶ πόλεις καθεῖλες ἀπώλετο τὸ μνημόσυνον αὐτῶν μετ’ ἤχουςPs 9:6
The swords of the enemy have failed utterly; and thou hast destroyed cities: their memorial has been destroyed with a noise,
Ps 9:6
The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin.
The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
8Ps 9:78וַֽ֭יהוָה לְעוֹלָ֣ם יֵשֵׁ֑ב כּוֹנֵ֖ן לַמִּשְׁפָּ֣ט כִּסְאֽוֹ׃Ps 9:7
But Yahweh reigns forever.
He has prepared his throne for judgment.
Ps 9:8Ps 9:8καὶ ὁ κύριος εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα μένει ἡτοίμασεν ἐν κρίσει τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦPs 9:7
but the Lord endures for ever: he has prepared his throne for judgment.
Ps 9:7
But Yahweh reigns forever.
He has prepared his throne for judgment.
9Ps 9:89וְה֗וּא יִשְׁפֹּֽט־תֵּבֵ֥ל בְּצֶ֑דֶק יָדִ֥ין לְ֝אֻמִּ֗ים בְּמֵישָׁרִֽים׃Ps 9:8
He will judge the world in righteousness.
He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
Ps 9:9Ps 9:9καὶ αὐτὸς κρινεῖ τὴν οἰκουμένην ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ κρινεῖ λαοὺς ἐν εὐθύτητιPs 9:8
And he will judge the world in righteousness, he will judge the nations in uprightness.
Ps 9:8
He will judge the world in righteousness.
He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
10Ps 9:910וִ֘יהִ֤י יְהוָ֣ה מִשְׂגָּ֣ב לַדָּ֑ךְ מִ֝שְׂגָּ֗ב לְעִתּ֥וֹת בַּצָּרָֽה׃Ps 9:9
Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed;
a high tower in times of trouble.
Ps 9:10Ps 9:10καὶ ἐγένετο κύριος καταφυγὴ τῷ πένητι βοηθὸς ἐν εὐκαιρίαις ἐν θλίψειPs 9:9
The Lord also is become a refuge for the poor, a seasonable help, in affliction.
Ps 9:9
Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed;
a high tower in times of trouble.
11Ps 9:1011וְיִבְטְח֣וּ בְ֭ךָ יוֹדְעֵ֣י שְׁמֶ֑ךָ כִּ֤י לֹֽא־עָזַ֖בְתָּ דֹרְשֶׁ֣יךָ יְהוָֽה׃Ps 9:10
Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Ps 9:11Ps 9:11καὶ ἐλπισάτωσαν ἐπὶ σὲ οἱ γινώσκοντες τὸ ὄνομά σου ὅτι οὐκ ἐγκατέλιπες τοὺς ἐκζητοῦντάς σε κύριεPs 9:10
And let them that know thy name hope in thee: for thou, O Lord, hast not failed them that diligently seek thee.
Ps 9:10
Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.
12Ps 9:1112זַמְּר֗וּ לַ֭יהוָה יֹשֵׁ֣ב צִיּ֑וֹן הַגִּ֥ידוּ בָ֝עַמִּ֗ים עֲלִֽילוֹתָֽיו׃Ps 9:11
Sing praises to Yahweh, who dwells in Zion,
and declare among the people what he has done.
Ps 9:12Ps 9:12ψάλατε τῷ κυρίῳ τῷ κατοικοῦντι ἐν Σιων ἀναγγείλατε ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτοῦPs 9:11
Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Sion: declare his dealings among the nations.
Ps 9:11
Sing praises to Yahweh, who dwells in Zion,
and declare among the people what he has done.
13Ps 9:1213כִּֽי־דֹרֵ֣שׁ דָּ֭מִים אוֹתָ֣ם זָכָ֑ר לֹֽא־שָׁ֝כַ֗ח צַעֲקַ֥ת ‏{ עניים עֲנָוִֽים׃ }‏

Ps 9:12
For he who avenges blood remembers them.
He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.
Ps 9:13Ps 9:13ὅτι ἐκζητῶν τὰ αἵματα αὐτῶν ἐμνήσθη οὐκ ἐπελάθετο τῆς κραυγῆς τῶν πενήτωνPs 9:12
For he remembered them, in making inquisition for blood: he has not forgotten the supplication of the poor.
Ps 9:12
For he who avenges blood remembers them.
He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.
14Ps 9:1314חָֽנְנֵ֬נִי יְהוָ֗ה רְאֵ֣ה עָ֭נְיִי מִשֹּׂנְאָ֑י מְ֝רוֹמְמִ֗י מִשַּׁ֥עֲרֵי מָֽוֶת׃Ps 9:13
Have mercy on me, Yahweh.
See my affliction by those who hate me,
and lift me up from the gates of death;
Ps 9:14Ps 9:14ἐλέησόν με κύριε ἰδὲ τὴν ταπείνωσίν μου ἐκ τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου ὁ ὑψῶν με ἐκ τῶν πυλῶν τοῦ θανάτουPs 9:13
Have mercy upon me, O Lord; look upon my affliction which I suffer of mine enemies, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
Ps 9:13
Have mercy on me, Yahweh.
See my affliction by those who hate me,
and lift me up from the gates of death;
15Ps 9:1415לְמַ֥עַן אֲסַפְּרָ֗ה כָּֽל־תְּהִלָּ֫תֶ֥יךָ בְּשַֽׁעֲרֵ֥י בַת־צִיּ֑וֹן אָ֝גִ֗ילָה בִּישׁוּעָתֶֽךָ׃Ps 9:14
that I may show forth all your praise.
In the gates of the daughter of Zion, I will rejoice in your salvation.
Ps 9:15Ps 9:15ὅπως ἂν ἐξαγγείλω πάσας τὰς αἰνέσεις σου ἐν ταῖς πύλαις τῆς θυγατρὸς Σιων ἀγαλλιάσομαι ἐπὶ τῷ σωτηρίῳ σουPs 9:14
that I may declare all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion: I will exult in thy salvation.
Ps 9:14
that I may show forth all your praise.
In the gates of the daughter of Zion, I will rejoice in your salvation.
16Ps 9:1516טָבְע֣וּ ג֭וֹיִם בְּשַׁ֣חַת עָשׂ֑וּ בְּרֶֽשֶׁת־ז֥וּ טָ֝מָ֗נוּ נִלְכְּדָ֥ה רַגְלָֽם׃Ps 9:15
The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made.
In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.
Ps 9:16Ps 9:16ἐνεπάγησαν ἔθνη ἐν διαφθορᾷ ᾗ ἐποίησαν ἐν παγίδι ταύτῃ ᾗ ἔκρυψαν συνελήμφθη ὁ ποὺς αὐτῶνPs 9:15
The heathen are caught in the destruction which they planned: in the very snare which they hid is their foot taken.
Ps 9:15
The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made.
In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.
17Ps 9:1617נ֤וֹדַ֨ע ׀ יְהוָה֮ מִשְׁפָּ֪ט עָ֫שָׂ֥ה בְּפֹ֣עַל כַּ֭פָּיו נוֹקֵ֣שׁ רָשָׁ֑ע הִגָּי֥וֹן סֶֽלָה׃Ps 9:16
Yahweh has made himself known.
He has executed judgment.
The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands.
Meditation. Selah.
Ps 9:17Ps 9:17γινώσκεται κύριος κρίματα ποιῶν ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις τῶν χειρῶν αὐτοῦ συνελήμφθη ὁ ἁμαρτωλός ᾠδὴ διαψάλματοςPs 9:16
The Lord is known as executing judgments: the sinner is taken in the works of his hands. A song of Pause.
Ps 9:16
Yahweh has made himself known.
He has executed judgment.

18Ps 9:1718יָשׁ֣וּבוּ רְשָׁעִ֣ים לִשְׁא֑וֹלָה כָּל־גּ֝וֹיִ֗ם שְׁכֵחֵ֥י אֱלֹהִֽים׃Ps 9:17
The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol,
even all the nations that forget God.
Ps 9:18Ps 9:18ἀποστραφήτωσαν οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ εἰς τὸν ᾅδην πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τὰ ἐπιλανθανόμενα τοῦ θεοῦPs 9:17
Let sinners be driven away into Hades, even all the nations that forget God.
Ps 9:17
The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol,
even all the nations that forget God.
19Ps 9:1819כִּ֤י לֹ֣א לָ֭נֶצַח יִשָּׁכַ֣ח אֶבְי֑וֹן תִּקְוַ֥ת ‏{ ענוים עֲ֝נִיִּ֗ים }‏ תֹּאבַ֥ד לָעַֽד׃

Ps 9:18
For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
nor the hope of the poor perish forever.
Ps 9:19Ps 9:19ὅτι οὐκ εἰς τέλος ἐπιλησθήσεται ὁ πτωχός ἡ ὑπομονὴ τῶν πενήτων οὐκ ἀπολεῖται εἰς τὸν αἰῶναPs 9:18
For the poor shall not be forgotten for ever: the patience of the needy ones shall not perish for ever.
Ps 9:18
For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
nor the hope of the poor perish forever.
20Ps 9:1920קוּמָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה אַל־יָעֹ֣ז אֱנ֑וֹשׁ יִשָּׁפְט֥וּ ג֝וֹיִ֗ם עַל־פָּנֶֽיךָ׃Ps 9:19
Arise, Yahweh! Don’t let man prevail.
Let the nations be judged in your sight.
Ps 9:20Ps 9:20ἀνάστηθι κύριε μὴ κραταιούσθω ἄνθρωπος κριθήτωσαν ἔθνη ἐνώπιόν σουPs 9:19
Arise, O Lord, let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged before thee.
Ps 9:19
Arise, Yahweh! Don’t let man prevail.
Let the nations be judged in your sight.
21Ps 9:2021שִׁ֘יתָ֤ה יְהוָ֨ה ׀ מוֹרָ֗ה לָ֫הֶ֥ם יֵדְע֥וּ גוֹיִ֑ם אֱנ֖וֹשׁ הֵ֣מָּה סֶּֽלָה׃Ps 9:20
Put them in fear, Yahweh.
Let the nations know that they are only men.
Selah.
Ps 9:21Ps 9:21κατάστησον κύριε νομοθέτην ἐπ’ αὐτούς γνώτωσαν ἔθνη ὅτι ἄνθρωποί εἰσιν διάψαλμαPs 9:20
Appoint, O Lord, a lawgiver over them: let the heathen know that they are men. Pause.
Ps 9:20
Put them in fear, Yahweh.
Let the nations know that they are only men.
Selah.
