Ps 8:1
For the end, concerning the wine-presses, a Psalm of David. O Lord, our Lord, how wonderful is thy name in all the earth! for thy magnificence is exalted above the heavens.

2Ps 8:12יְהוָ֤ה אֲדֹנֵ֗ינוּ מָֽה־אַדִּ֣יר שִׁ֭מְךָ בְּכָל־הָאָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּנָ֥ה ה֝וֹדְךָ֗ עַל־הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃Ps 8:1
Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth,
who has set your glory above the heavens!
Ps 8:2Ps 8:2κύριε ὁ κύριος ἡμῶν ὡς θαυμαστὸν τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ ὅτι ἐπήρθη ἡ μεγαλοπρέπειά σου ὑπεράνω τῶν οὐρανῶν2

Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth,

3Ps 8:23מִפִּ֤י עֽוֹלְלִ֨ים ׀ וְֽיֹנְקִים֮ יִסַּ֪דְתָּ֫ עֹ֥ז לְמַ֥עַן צוֹרְרֶ֑יךָ לְהַשְׁבִּ֥ית א֝וֹיֵ֗ב וּמִתְנַקֵּֽם׃Ps 8:2
From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength,
because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
Ps 8:3Ps 8:3ἐκ στόματος νηπίων καὶ θηλαζόντων κατηρτίσω αἶνον ἕνεκα τῶν ἐχθρῶν σου τοῦ καταλῦσαι ἐχθρὸν καὶ ἐκδικητήνPs 8:2
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou perfected praise, because of thine enemies; that thou mightest put down the enemy and avenger.

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;
Ps 8:4Ps 8:4ὅτι ὄψομαι τοὺς οὐρανούς ἔργα τῶν δακτύλων σου σελήνην καὶ ἀστέρας ἃ σὺ ἐθεμελίωσαςPs 8:3
For I will regard the heavens, the work of thy fingers; the moon and stars, which thou hast established.

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;
5Ps 8:45מָֽה־אֱנ֥וֹשׁ כִּֽי־תִזְכְּרֶ֑נּוּ וּבֶן־אָ֝דָ֗ם כִּ֣י תִפְקְדֶֽנּוּ׃Ps 8:4
what is man, that you think of him?
What is the son of man, that you care for him?
Ps 8:5Ps 8:5τί ἐστιν ἄνθρωπος ὅτι μιμνῄσκῃ αὐτοῦ ἢ υἱὸς ἀνθρώπου ὅτι ἐπισκέπτῃ αὐτόνPs 8:4
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

6Ps 8:56וַתְּחַסְּרֵ֣הוּ מְּ֭עַט מֵאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְכָב֖וֹד וְהָדָ֣ר תְּעַטְּרֵֽהוּ׃Ps 8:5
For you have made him a little lower than God,
and crowned him with glory and honor.
Ps 8:6Ps 8:6ἠλάττωσας αὐτὸν βραχύ τι παρ’ ἀγγέλους δόξῃ καὶ τιμῇ ἐστεφάνωσας αὐτόνPs 8:5
Thou madest him a little less than angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour;
Ps 8:5
For you have made him a little lower than God,
and crowned him with glory and honor.
7Ps 8:67תַּ֭מְשִׁילֵהוּ בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣י יָדֶ֑יךָ כֹּ֝ל שַׁ֣תָּה תַֽחַת־רַגְלָֽיו׃Ps 8:6
You make him ruler over the works of your hands.
You have put all things under his feet:
Ps 8:7Ps 8:7καὶ κατέστησας αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν σου πάντα ὑπέταξας ὑποκάτω τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦPs 8:6
and thou hast set him over the works of thy hands: thou hast put all things under his feet:

yes, and the animals of the field,

sheep and all oxen, yea and the cattle of the field;
