εἰς τὸ τέλος ὑπὲρ Ιδιθουν τῷ Ασαφ ψαλμός
Ps 77:1
For the end, for Idithun, a Psalm of Asaph. I cried to the Lord with my voice, yea, my voice was addressed to God; and he gave heed to me.

2Ps 77:12קוֹלִ֣י אֶל־אֱלֹהִ֣ים וְאֶצְעָ֑קָה קוֹלִ֥י אֶל־אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים וְהַאֲזִ֥ין אֵלָֽי׃Ps 77:1
My cry goes to God!
Indeed, I cry to God for help,
and for him to listen to me.
Ps 76:2Ps 76:2φωνῇ μου πρὸς κύριον ἐκέκραξα φωνῇ μου πρὸς τὸν θεόν καὶ προσέσχεν μοι2

3Ps 77:23בְּי֥וֹם צָרָתִי֮ אֲדֹנָ֪י דָּ֫רָ֥שְׁתִּי יָדִ֤י ׀ לַ֣יְלָה נִ֭גְּרָה וְלֹ֣א תָפ֑וּג מֵאֲנָ֖ה הִנָּחֵ֣ם נַפְשִֽׁי׃Ps 77:2
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord.
My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired.
My soul refused to be comforted.
Ps 76:3Ps 76:3ἐν ἡμέρᾳ θλίψεώς μου τὸν θεὸν ἐξεζήτησα ταῖς χερσίν μου νυκτὸς ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἠπατήθην ἀπηνήνατο παρακληθῆναι ἡ ψυχή μουPs 77:2
In the day of mine affliction I earnestly sought the Lord; even with my hands by night before him, and I was not deceived; my soul refused to be comforted.
Ps 77:2
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord.
My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired.

4Ps 77:34אֶזְכְּרָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֣ים וְאֶֽהֱמָיָ֑ה אָשִׂ֓יחָה ׀ וְתִתְעַטֵּ֖ף רוּחִ֣י סֶֽלָה׃Ps 77:3
I remember God, and I groan.
I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed.
Selah.
Ps 76:4Ps 76:4ἐμνήσθην τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ εὐφράνθην ἠδολέσχησα καὶ ὠλιγοψύχησεν τὸ πνεῦμά μου διάψαλμαPs 77:3
I remembered God, and rejoiced; I poured out my complaint, and my soul fainted. Pause.
Ps 77:3
I remember God, and I groan.
I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed.

5Ps 77:45אָ֭חַזְתָּ שְׁמֻר֣וֹת עֵינָ֑י נִ֝פְעַ֗מְתִּי וְלֹ֣א אֲדַבֵּֽר׃Ps 77:4
You hold my eyelids open.
I am so troubled that I can’t speak.
Ps 76:5Ps 76:5προκατελάβοντο φυλακὰς οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου ἐταράχθην καὶ οὐκ ἐλάλησαPs 77:4
All mine enemies set a watch against me: I was troubled, and spoke not.
Ps 77:4
You hold my eyelids open.
I am so troubled that I can’t speak.
6Ps 77:56חִשַּׁ֣בְתִּי יָמִ֣ים מִקֶּ֑דֶם שְׁ֝נ֗וֹת עוֹלָמִֽים׃Ps 77:5
I have considered the days of old,
the years of ancient times.
Ps 76:6Ps 76:6διελογισάμην ἡμέρας ἀρχαίας καὶ ἔτη αἰώνια ἐμνήσθην καὶ ἐμελέτησαPs 77:5
I considered the days of old, and remembered ancient years.
Ps 77:5
I have considered the days of old,
the years of ancient times.
7Ps 77:67אֶֽזְכְּרָ֥ה נְגִינָתִ֗י בַּ֫לָּ֥יְלָה עִם־לְבָבִ֥י אָשִׂ֑יחָה וַיְחַפֵּ֥שׂ רוּחִֽי׃Ps 77:6
I remember my song in the night.
I consider in my own heart;
my spirit diligently inquires:
Ps 76:7Ps 76:7νυκτὸς μετὰ τῆς καρδίας μου ἠδολέσχουν καὶ ἔσκαλλεν τὸ πνεῦμά μουPs 77:6
And I meditated; I communed with my heart by night, and diligently searched my spirit, saying,
Ps 77:6
I remember my song in the night.
I consider in my own heart;
my spirit diligently inquires:
8Ps 77:78הַֽ֭לְעוֹלָמִים יִזְנַ֥ח ׀ אֲדֹנָ֑י וְלֹֽא־יֹסִ֖יף לִרְצ֣וֹת עֽוֹד׃Ps 77:7
“Will the Lord reject us forever?
Will he be favorable no more?
Ps 76:8Ps 76:8μὴ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας ἀπώσεται κύριος καὶ οὐ προσθήσει τοῦ εὐδοκῆσαι ἔτιPs 77:7
Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be well pleased no more?
Ps 77:7
“Will the Lord reject us forever?
Will he be favorable no more?
9Ps 77:89הֶאָפֵ֣ס לָנֶ֣צַח חַסְדּ֑וֹ גָּ֥מַר אֹ֝֗מֶר לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃Ps 77:8
Has his loving kindness vanished forever?
Does his promise fail for generations?
Ps 76:9Ps 76:9ἢ εἰς τέλος τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ ἀποκόψει ἀπὸ γενεᾶς εἰς γενεάνPs 77:8
Will he cut off his mercy for ever, even for ever and ever?
Ps 77:8
Has his loving kindness vanished forever?
Does his promise fail for generations?
10Ps 77:910הֲשָׁכַ֣ח חַנּ֣וֹת אֵ֑ל אִם־קָפַ֥ץ בְּ֝אַ֗ף רַחֲמָ֥יו סֶֽלָה׃Ps 77:9
Has God forgotten to be gracious?
Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?”
Selah.
Ps 76:10Ps 76:10ἢ ἐπιλήσεται τοῦ οἰκτιρῆσαι ὁ θεὸς ἢ συνέξει ἐν τῇ ὀργῇ αὐτοῦ τοὺς οἰκτιρμοὺς αὐτοῦ διάψαλμαPs 77:9
Will God forget to pity? or will he shut up his compassions in his wrath? Pause.
Ps 77:9
Has God forgotten to be gracious?
Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?”

11Ps 77:1011וָ֭אֹמַר חַלּ֣וֹתִי הִ֑יא שְׁ֝נ֗וֹת יְמִ֣ין עֶלְיֽוֹן׃Ps 77:10
Then I thought, “I will appeal to this:
the years of the right hand of the Most High.”
Ps 76:11Ps 76:11καὶ εἶπα νῦν ἠρξάμην αὕτη ἡ ἀλλοίωσις τῆς δεξιᾶς τοῦ ὑψίστουPs 77:10
And I said, Now I have begun; this is the change of the right hand of the Most High.
Ps 77:10
Then I thought, “I will appeal to this:
the years of the right hand of the Most High.”
12Ps 77:1112‏{ אזכיר אֶזְכּ֥וֹר }‏ מַֽעַלְלֵי־יָ֑הּ כִּֽי־אֶזְכְּרָ֖ה מִקֶּ֣דֶם פִּלְאֶֽךָ׃

Ps 77:11
I will remember Yah’s deeds;
for I will remember your wonders of old.
Ps 76:12Ps 76:12ἐμνήσθην τῶν ἔργων κυρίου ὅτι μνησθήσομαι ἀπὸ τῆς ἀρχῆς τῶν θαυμασίων σουPs 77:11
I remembered the works of the Lord; for I will remember thy wonders from the beginning.
Ps 77:11
I will remember Yah’s deeds;
for I will remember your wonders of old.
13Ps 77:1213וְהָגִ֥יתִי בְכָל־פָּעֳלֶ֑ךָ וּֽבַעֲלִ֖ילוֹתֶ֣יךָ אָשִֽׂיחָה׃Ps 77:12
I will also meditate on all your work,
and consider your doings.
Ps 76:13Ps 76:13καὶ μελετήσω ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔργοις σου καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἐπιτηδεύμασίν σου ἀδολεσχήσωPs 77:12
And I will meditate on all thy works, and will consider thy doings.
Ps 77:12
I will also meditate on all your work,
and consider your doings.
14Ps 77:1314אֱ֭לֹהִים בַּקֹּ֣דֶשׁ דַּרְכֶּ֑ךָ מִי־אֵ֥ל גָּ֝ד֗וֹל כֵּֽאלֹהִֽים׃Ps 77:13
Your way, God, is in the sanctuary.
What god is great like God?
Ps 76:14Ps 76:14ὁ θεός ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ ἡ ὁδός σου τίς θεὸς μέγας ὡς ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶνPs 77:13
O God, thy way is in the sanctuary; who is a great God as our God?
Ps 77:13
Your way, God, is in the sanctuary.
What god is great like God?
15Ps 77:1415אַתָּ֣ה הָ֭אֵל עֹ֣שֵׂה פֶ֑לֶא הוֹדַ֖עְתָּ בָעַמִּ֣ים עֻזֶּֽךָ׃Ps 77:14
You are the God who does wonders.
You have made your strength known among the peoples.
Ps 76:15Ps 76:15σὺ εἶ ὁ θεὸς ὁ ποιῶν θαυμάσια ἐγνώρισας ἐν τοῖς λαοῖς τὴν δύναμίν σουPs 77:14
Thou art the God that doest wonders; thou hast made known thy power among the nations.
Ps 77:14
You are the God who does wonders.
You have made your strength known among the peoples.
16Ps 77:1516גָּאַ֣לְתָּ בִּזְר֣וֹעַ עַמֶּ֑ךָ בְּנֵי־יַעֲקֹ֖ב וְיוֹסֵ֣ף סֶֽלָה׃Ps 77:15
You have redeemed your people with your arm,
the sons of Jacob and Joseph.
Selah.
Ps 76:16Ps 76:16ἐλυτρώσω ἐν τῷ βραχίονί σου τὸν λαόν σου τοὺς υἱοὺς Ιακωβ καὶ Ιωσηφ διάψαλμαPs 77:15
Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Pause.
Ps 77:15
You have redeemed your people with your arm,
the sons of Jacob and Joseph.

17Ps 77:1617רָ֘א֤וּךָ מַּ֨יִם ׀ אֱ‍ֽלֹהִ֗ים רָא֣וּךָ מַּ֣יִם יָחִ֑ילוּ אַ֝֗ף יִרְגְּז֥וּ תְהֹמֽוֹת׃Ps 77:16
The waters saw you, God.
The waters saw you, and they writhed.
The depths also convulsed.
Ps 76:17Ps 76:17εἴδοσάν σε ὕδατα ὁ θεός εἴδοσάν σε ὕδατα καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν καὶ ἐταράχθησαν ἄβυσσοι πλῆθος ἤχους ὑδάτωνPs 77:16
The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee, and feared; and the depths were troubled.
Ps 77:16
The waters saw you, God.
The waters saw you, and they writhed.
The depths also convulsed.
18Ps 77:1718זֹ֤רְמוּ מַ֨יִם ׀ עָב֗וֹת ק֭וֹל נָתְנ֣וּ שְׁחָקִ֑ים אַף־חֲ֝צָצֶ֗יךָ יִתְהַלָּֽכוּ׃Ps 77:17
The clouds poured out water.
The skies resounded with thunder.
Your arrows also flashed around.
Ps 76:18Ps 76:18φωνὴν ἔδωκαν αἱ νεφέλαι καὶ γὰρ τὰ βέλη σου διαπορεύονταιPs 77:17
There was an abundant sound of waters: the clouds uttered a voice; for thine arrows went abroad.
Ps 77:17
The clouds poured out water.
The skies resounded with thunder.
Your arrows also flashed around.
19Ps 77:1819ק֤וֹל רַעַמְךָ֨ ׀ בַּגַּלְגַּ֗ל הֵאִ֣ירוּ בְרָקִ֣ים תֵּבֵ֑ל רָגְזָ֖ה וַתִּרְעַ֣שׁ הָאָֽרֶץ׃Ps 77:18
The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind.
The lightnings lit up the world.
The earth trembled and shook.
Ps 76:19Ps 76:19φωνὴ τῆς βροντῆς σου ἐν τῷ τροχῷ ἔφαναν αἱ ἀστραπαί σου τῇ οἰκουμένῃ ἐσαλεύθη καὶ ἔντρομος ἐγενήθη ἡ γῆPs 77:18
The voice of thy thunder was abroad, and around thy lightnings appeared to the world; the earth trembled a quaked.
Ps 77:18
The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind.
The lightnings lit up the world.
The earth trembled and shook.
20Ps 77:1920בַּיָּ֤ם דַּרְכֶּ֗ךָ ‏{ ושביליך וּֽ֭שְׁבִֽילְךָ }‏ בְּמַ֣יִם רַבִּ֑ים וְ֝עִקְּבוֹתֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א נֹדָֽעוּ׃

Ps 77:19
Your way was through the sea;
your paths through the great waters.
Your footsteps were not known.
Ps 76:20Ps 76:20ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ ἡ ὁδός σου καὶ αἱ τρίβοι σου ἐν ὕδασι πολλοῖς καὶ τὰ ἴχνη σου οὐ γνωσθήσονταιPs 77:19
Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths in many waters, and thy footsteps cannot be known.
Ps 77:19
Your way was through the sea;
your paths through the great waters.
Your footsteps were not known.
21Ps 77:2021נָחִ֣יתָ כַצֹּ֣אן עַמֶּ֑ךָ בְּֽיַד־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאַהֲרֹֽן׃Ps 77:20
You led your people like a flock,
by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Ps 76:21Ps 76:21ὡδήγησας ὡς πρόβατα τὸν λαόν σου ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ καὶ ΑαρωνPs 77:20
Thou didst guide thy people as sheep by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Ps 77:20
You led your people like a flock,
by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
