εἰς τὸ τέλος ἐν ὕμνοις ψαλμὸς τῷ Ασαφ ᾠδὴ πρὸς τὸν Ἀσσύριον
Ps 76:1
For the end, among the Hymns, a Psalm for Asaph; a Song for the Assyrian. God is known in Judea: his name is great in Israel.

His tabernacle is also in Salem;
His dwelling place in Zion.
Ps 75:3Ps 75:3καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν εἰρήνῃ ὁ τόπος αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ κατοικητήριον αὐτοῦ ἐν ΣιωνPs 76:2
And his place has been in peace, and his dwelling-place in Sion.

4Ps 76:34שָׁ֭מָּה שִׁבַּ֣ר רִשְׁפֵי־קָ֑שֶׁת מָגֵ֬ן וְחֶ֖רֶב וּמִלְחָמָ֣ה סֶֽלָה׃Ps 76:3
There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow,
the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war.

Ps 75:4Ps 75:4ἐκεῖ συνέτριψεν τὰ κράτη τῶν τόξων ὅπλον καὶ ῥομφαίαν καὶ πόλεμον διάψαλμαPs 76:3
There he broke the power of the bows, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Pause.

There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow,
the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war.

Glorious are you, and excellent,
more than mountains of game.

Thou dost wonderfully shine forth from the everlasting mountains.

6Ps 76:56אֶשְׁתּוֹלְל֨וּ ׀ אַבִּ֣ירֵי לֵ֭ב נָמ֣וּ שְׁנָתָ֑ם וְלֹא־מָצְא֖וּ כָל־אַנְשֵׁי־חַ֣יִל יְדֵיהֶֽם׃Ps 76:5
Valiant men lie plundered,
they have slept their last sleep.
None of the men of war can lift their hands.
Ps 75:6Ps 75:6ἐταράχθησαν πάντες οἱ ἀσύνετοι τῇ καρδίᾳ ὕπνωσαν ὕπνον αὐτῶν καὶ οὐχ εὗρον οὐδὲν πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦ πλούτου ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτῶνPs 76:5
All the simple ones in heart were troubled; all the men of wealth have slept their sleep, and have found nothing in their hands.
Ps 76:5
Valiant men lie plundered,
they have slept their last sleep.
None of the men of war can lift their hands.
7Ps 76:67מִ֭גַּעֲרָ֣תְךָ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יַעֲקֹ֑ב נִ֝רְדָּ֗ם וְרֶ֣כֶב וָסֽוּס׃Ps 76:6
At your rebuke, God of Jacob,
both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.
Ps 75:7Ps 75:7ἀπὸ ἐπιτιμήσεώς σου ὁ θεὸς Ιακωβ ἐνύσταξαν οἱ ἐπιβεβηκότες τοὺς ἵππουςPs 76:6
At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, the riders on horses slumbered.
Ps 76:6
At your rebuke, God of Jacob,
both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.
8Ps 76:78אַתָּ֤ה ׀ נ֥וֹרָא אַ֗תָּה וּמִֽי־יַעֲמֹ֥ד לְפָנֶ֗יךָ מֵאָ֥ז אַפֶּֽךָ׃Ps 76:7
You, even you, are to be feared.
Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?
Ps 75:8Ps 75:8σὺ φοβερὸς εἶ καὶ τίς ἀντιστήσεταί σοι ἀπὸ τότε ἡ ὀργή σουPs 76:7
Thou art terrible; and who shall withstand thee, because of thine anger?
Ps 76:7
You, even you, are to be feared.

9Ps 76:89מִ֭שָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁמַ֣עְתָּ דִּ֑ין אֶ֖רֶץ יָֽרְאָ֣ה וְשָׁקָֽטָה׃Ps 76:8
You pronounced judgment from heaven.
The earth feared, and was silent,
Ps 75:9Ps 75:9ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἠκούτισας κρίσιν γῆ ἐφοβήθη καὶ ἡσύχασενPs 76:8
Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
Ps 76:8
You pronounced judgment from heaven.

10Ps 76:910בְּקוּם־לַמִּשְׁפָּ֥ט אֱלֹהִ֑ים לְהוֹשִׁ֖יעַ כָּל־עַנְוֵי־אֶ֣רֶץ סֶֽלָה׃Ps 76:9
when God arose to judgment,
to save all the afflicted ones of the earth.

Ps 75:10Ps 75:10ἐν τῷ ἀναστῆναι εἰς κρίσιν τὸν θεὸν τοῦ σῶσαι πάντας τοὺς πραεῖς τῆς γῆς διάψαλμαPs 76:9

when God arose to judgment,
to save all the afflicted ones of the earth.

11Ps 76:1011כִּֽי־חֲמַ֣ת אָדָ֣ם תּוֹדֶ֑ךָּ שְׁאֵרִ֖ית חֵמֹ֣ת תַּחְגֹּֽר׃Ps 76:10
Surely the wrath of man praises you.
The survivors of your wrath are restrained.
Ps 75:11Ps 75:11ὅτι ἐνθύμιον ἀνθρώπου ἐξομολογήσεταί σοι καὶ ἐγκατάλειμμα ἐνθυμίου ἑορτάσει σοιPs 76:10
For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to thee: and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to thee.
Ps 76:10
Surely the wrath of man praises you.

12Ps 76:1112נִֽדֲר֣וּ וְשַׁלְּמוּ֮ לַיהוָ֪ה אֱ‍ֽלֹהֵ֫יכֶ֥ם כָּל־סְבִיבָ֑יו יוֹבִ֥ילוּ שַׁ֝֗י לַמּוֹרָֽא׃Ps 76:11
Make vows to Yahweh your God, and fulfill them!
Let all of his neighbors bring presents to him who is to be feared.
Ps 75:12Ps 75:12εὔξασθε καὶ ἀπόδοτε κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν πάντες οἱ κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ οἴσουσιν δῶραPs 76:11
Vow, and pay your vows to the Lord our God; all that are round about him shall bring gifts, even to him that is terrible,
Ps 76:11
Make vows to Yahweh your God, and fulfill them!

13Ps 76:1213יִ֭בְצֹר ר֣וּחַ נְגִידִ֑ים נ֝וֹרָ֗א לְמַלְכֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃Ps 76:12
He will cut off the spirit of princes.
He is feared by the kings of the earth.
Ps 75:13Ps 75:13τῷ φοβερῷ καὶ ἀφαιρουμένῳ πνεύματα ἀρχόντων φοβερῷ παρὰ τοῖς βασιλεῦσι τῆς γῆςPs 76:12
and that takes away the spirits of princes; to him that is terrible among the kings of the earth.
Ps 76:12
He will cut off the spirit of princes.
He is feared by the kings of the earth.
