ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ ὃν ᾖσεν τῷ κυρίῳ ὑπὲρ τῶν λόγων Χουσι υἱοῦ Ιεμενι
Ps 7:1
A Psalm of David, which he sang to the Lord because of the words of Chusi the Benjamite. O Lord my God, in thee have I trusted: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.

¶A meditation by David, which he sang to Yahweh, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite.
2Ps 7:12יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַי בְּךָ֣ חָסִ֑יתִי הוֹשִׁיעֵ֥נִי מִכָּל־רֹ֝דְפַ֗י וְהַצִּילֵֽנִי׃Ps 7:1
Yahweh, my God, I take refuge in you.
Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
Ps 7:2Ps 7:2κύριε ὁ θεός μου ἐπὶ σοὶ ἤλπισα σῶσόν με ἐκ πάντων τῶν διωκόντων με καὶ ῥῦσαί με2
Ps 7:1
Yahweh, my God, I take refuge in you.
Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
3Ps 7:23פֶּן־יִטְרֹ֣ף כְּאַרְיֵ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י פֹּ֝רֵ֗ק וְאֵ֣ין מַצִּֽיל׃Ps 7:2
lest they tear apart my soul like a lion,
ripping it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
Ps 7:3Ps 7:3μήποτε ἁρπάσῃ ὡς λέων τὴν ψυχήν μου μὴ ὄντος λυτρουμένου μηδὲ σῴζοντοςPs 7:2
Lest at any time the enemy seize my soul as a lion, while there is none to ransom, nor to save.
Ps 7:2
lest they tear apart my soul like a lion,
ripping it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
4Ps 7:34יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַי אִם־עָשִׂ֣יתִי זֹ֑את אִֽם־יֶשׁ־עָ֥וֶל בְּכַפָּֽי׃Ps 7:3
Yahweh, my God, if I have done this,
if there is iniquity in my hands,
Ps 7:4Ps 7:4κύριε ὁ θεός μου εἰ ἐποίησα τοῦτο εἰ ἔστιν ἀδικία ἐν χερσίν μουPs 7:3
O Lord my God, if I have done this; (if there is unrighteousness in my hands;)
Ps 7:3
Yahweh, my God, if I have done this,
if there is iniquity in my hands,
5Ps 7:45אִם־גָּ֭מַלְתִּי שֽׁוֹלְמִ֥י רָ֑ע וָאֲחַלְּצָ֖ה צוֹרְרִ֣י רֵיקָֽם׃Ps 7:4
if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me
(yes, if I have delivered him who without cause was my adversary),
Ps 7:5Ps 7:5εἰ ἀνταπέδωκα τοῖς ἀνταποδιδοῦσίν μοι κακά ἀποπέσοιν ἄρα ἀπὸ τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου κενόςPs 7:4
if I have requited with evil those who requited me with good; may I then perish empty by means of my enemies.
Ps 7:4
if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me
(yes, if I have delivered him who without cause was my adversary),
6Ps 7:56יִֽרַדֹּ֥ף אוֹיֵ֨ב ׀ נַפְשִׁ֡י וְיַשֵּׂ֗ג וְיִרְמֹ֣ס לָאָ֣רֶץ חַיָּ֑י וּכְבוֹדִ֓י ׀ לֶעָפָ֖ר יַשְׁכֵּ֣ן סֶֽלָה׃Ps 7:5
let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it;
yes, let him tread my life down to the earth,
and lay my glory in the dust.

Ps 7:6Ps 7:6καταδιώξαι ἄρα ὁ ἐχθρὸς τὴν ψυχήν μου καὶ καταλάβοι καὶ καταπατήσαι εἰς γῆν τὴν ζωήν μου καὶ τὴν δόξαν μου εἰς χοῦν κατασκηνώσαι διάψαλμαPs 7:5
Let the enemy persecute my soul, an take it; and let him trample my life on the ground, and lay my glory in the dust. Pause.
Ps 7:5
let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it;
yes, let him tread my life down to the earth,
and lay my glory in the dust.

7Ps 7:67ק֘וּמָ֤ה יְהוָ֨ה ׀ בְּאַפֶּ֗ךָ הִ֭נָּשֵׂא בְּעַבְר֣וֹת צוֹרְרָ֑י וְע֥וּרָה אֵ֝לַ֗י מִשְׁפָּ֥ט צִוִּֽיתָ׃Ps 7:6
Arise, Yahweh, in your anger.
Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries.
Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.
Ps 7:7Ps 7:7ἀνάστηθι κύριε ἐν ὀργῇ σου ὑψώθητι ἐν τοῖς πέρασι τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου ἐξεγέρθητι κύριε ὁ θεός μου ἐν προστάγματι ᾧ ἐνετείλωPs 7:6
Arise, O Lord, in thy wrath; be exalted in the utmost boundaries of mine enemies: awake, O Lord my God, according to the decree which thou didst command.
Ps 7:6
AriseResurrect, Yahweh, Lordin your anger., in your wrath!
Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries.Be exulted in the borders of my enemies
Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.Arise, my God by the commandments which you commanded.

8Ps 7:78וַעֲדַ֣ת לְ֭אֻמִּים תְּסוֹבְבֶ֑ךָּ וְ֝עָלֶ֗יהָ לַמָּר֥וֹם שֽׁוּבָה׃Ps 7:7
Let the congregation of the peoples surround you.
Rule over them on high.
Ps 7:8Ps 7:8καὶ συναγωγὴ λαῶν κυκλώσει σε καὶ ὑπὲρ ταύτης εἰς ὕψος ἐπίστρεψονPs 7:7
And the congregation of the nations shall compass thee: and for this cause do thou return on high.
Ps 7:7
Let the congregation of the peoples surround you.
Rule over them on high.
9Ps 7:89יְהוָה֮ יָדִ֪ין עַ֫מִּ֥ים שָׁפְטֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֑ה כְּצִדְקִ֖י וּכְתֻמִּ֣י עָלָֽי׃Ps 7:8
Yahweh administers judgment to the peoples.
Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness,
and to my integrity that is in me.
Ps 7:9Ps 7:9κύριος κρινεῖ λαούς κρῖνόν με κύριε κατὰ τὴν δικαιοσύνην μου καὶ κατὰ τὴν ἀκακίαν μου ἐπ’ ἐμοίPs 7:8
The Lord shall judge the nations: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to my innocence that is in me.
Ps 7:8
YahwehThe Lord administers judgment to the peoples.
Judge me, YahwehLord, according to my righteousness,

10Ps 7:910יִגְמָר־נָ֬א רַ֨ע ׀ רְשָׁעִים֮ וּתְכוֹנֵ֪ן צַ֫דִּ֥יק וּבֹחֵ֣ן לִ֭בּ֗וֹת וּכְלָי֗וֹת אֱלֹהִ֥ים צַדִּֽיק׃Ps 7:9
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end,
but establish the righteous;
their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.
Ps 7:10Ps 7:10συντελεσθήτω δὴ πονηρία ἁμαρτωλῶν καὶ κατευθυνεῖς δίκαιον ἐτάζων καρδίας καὶ νεφροὺς ὁ θεόςPs 7:9
Oh let the wickedness of sinners come to an end; and then thou shalt direct the righteous, O God that searchest the hearts and reins.
Ps 7:9
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end,
but establish the righteous;
their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.
11Ps 7:1011מָֽגִנִּ֥י עַל־אֱלֹהִ֑ים מ֝וֹשִׁ֗יעַ יִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃Ps 7:10
My shield is with God,
who saves the upright in heart.
Ps 7:11Ps 7:11δικαία ἡ βοήθειά μου παρὰ τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ σῴζοντος τοὺς εὐθεῖς τῇ καρδίᾳPs 7:10
My help is righteous, coming from God who saves the upright in heart.
Ps 7:10
My shield is with God,
who saves the upright in heart.
12Ps 7:1112אֱ֭לֹהִים שׁוֹפֵ֣ט צַדִּ֑יק וְ֝אֵ֗ל זֹעֵ֥ם בְּכָל־יֽוֹם׃Ps 7:11
God is a righteous judge,
yes, a God who has indignation every day.
Ps 7:12Ps 7:12ὁ θεὸς κριτὴς δίκαιος καὶ ἰσχυρὸς καὶ μακρόθυμος μὴ ὀργὴν ἐπάγων καθ’ ἑκάστην ἡμέρανPs 7:11
God is a righteous judge, and strong, and patient, not inflicting vengeance every day.
Ps 7:11
God is a righteous judge,
yes, a God who has indignation every day.
13Ps 7:1213אִם־לֹ֣א יָ֭שׁוּב חַרְבּ֣וֹ יִלְט֑וֹשׁ קַשְׁתּ֥וֹ דָ֝רַ֗ךְ וַֽיְכוֹנְנֶֽהָ׃Ps 7:12
If a man doesn’t relent, he will sharpen his sword;
he has bent and strung his bow.
Ps 7:13Ps 7:13ἐὰν μὴ ἐπιστραφῆτε τὴν ῥομφαίαν αὐτοῦ στιλβώσει τὸ τόξον αὐτοῦ ἐνέτεινεν καὶ ἡτοίμασεν αὐτὸPs 7:12
If ye will not repent, he will furbish his sword; he has bent his bow, and made it ready.
Ps 7:12
If a man doesn’t relent, he will sharpen his sword;

14Ps 7:1314וְ֭לוֹ הֵכִ֣ין כְּלֵי־מָ֑וֶת חִ֝צָּ֗יו לְֽדֹלְקִ֥ים יִפְעָֽל׃Ps 7:13
He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death.
He makes ready his flaming arrows.
Ps 7:14Ps 7:14καὶ ἐν αὐτῷ ἡτοίμασεν σκεύη θανάτου τὰ βέλη αὐτοῦ τοῖς καιομένοις ἐξειργάσατοPs 7:13
And on it he has fitted the instruments of death; he has completed his arrows for the raging ones.
Ps 7:13
He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death.
He makes ready his flaming arrows.
15Ps 7:1415הִנֵּ֥ה יְחַבֶּל־אָ֑וֶן וְהָרָ֥ה עָ֝מָ֗ל וְיָ֣לַד שָֽׁקֶר׃Ps 7:14
Behold, he travails with iniquity.
Yes, he has conceived mischief,
and brought forth falsehood.
Ps 7:15Ps 7:15ἰδοὺ ὠδίνησεν ἀδικίαν συνέλαβεν πόνον καὶ ἔτεκεν ἀνομίανPs 7:14
Behold, he has travailed with unrighteousness, he has conceived trouble, and brought forth iniquity.
Ps 7:14
Behold, he travails with iniquity.
Yes, he has conceived mischief,
and brought forth falsehood.
16Ps 7:1516בּ֣וֹר כָּ֭רָֽה וַֽיַּחְפְּרֵ֑הוּ וַ֝יִּפֹּ֗ל בְּשַׁ֣חַת יִפְעָֽל׃Ps 7:15
He has dug a hole,
and has fallen into the pit which he made.
Ps 7:16Ps 7:16λάκκον ὤρυξεν καὶ ἀνέσκαψεν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐμπεσεῖται εἰς βόθρον ὃν εἰργάσατοPs 7:15
He has opened a pit, and dug it up, and he shall fall into the ditch which he has made.
Ps 7:15
He has dug a hole,
and has fallen into the pit which he made.
17Ps 7:1617יָשׁ֣וּב עֲמָל֣וֹ בְרֹאשׁ֑וֹ וְעַ֥ל קָ֝דְקֳד֗וֹ חֲמָס֥וֹ יֵרֵֽד׃Ps 7:16
The trouble he causes shall return to his own head.
His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.
Ps 7:17Ps 7:17ἐπιστρέψει ὁ πόνος αὐτοῦ εἰς κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ κορυφὴν αὐτοῦ ἡ ἀδικία αὐτοῦ καταβήσεταιPs 7:16
His trouble shall return on his own head, and his unrighteousness shall come down on his own crown.
Ps 7:16
The trouble he causes shall return to his own head.
His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.
18Ps 7:1718אוֹדֶ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה כְּצִדְק֑וֹ וַ֝אֲזַמְּרָ֗ה שֵֽׁם־יְהוָ֥ה עֶלְיֽוֹן׃Ps 7:17
I will give thanks to Yahweh according to his righteousness,
and will sing praise to the name of Yahweh Most High.
Ps 7:18Ps 7:18ἐξομολογήσομαι κυρίῳ κατὰ τὴν δικαιοσύνην αὐτοῦ καὶ ψαλῶ τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου τοῦ ὑψίστουPs 7:17
I will give thanks to the Lord according to his righteousness; I will sing to the name of the Lord most high.
Ps 7:17
I will give thanks to YahwehThe Lord according to his righteousness,
