For the end, a Psalm of a Song by David. Let God arise, and let his enemies be scattered; and let them that hate him flee from before him.

Let God arise!
Let his enemies be scattered!
Let them who hate him also flee before him.

Ps 68:1
Let God arise!
Let his enemies be scattered!
Let them who hate him also flee before him.
3Ps 68:23כְּהִנְדֹּ֥ף עָשָׁ֗ן תִּ֫נְדֹּ֥ף כְּהִמֵּ֣ס דּ֭וֹנַג מִפְּנֵי־אֵ֑שׁ יֹאבְד֥וּ רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים מִפְּנֵ֥י אֱלֹהִֽים׃Ps 68:2
As smoke is driven away,
so drive them away.
As wax melts before the fire,
so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
Ps 67:3Ps 67:3ὡς ἐκλείπει καπνός ἐκλιπέτωσαν ὡς τήκεται κηρὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου πυρός οὕτως ἀπόλοιντο οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ θεοῦPs 68:2
As smoke vanishes, let them vanish: as wax melts before the fire, so let the sinners perish from before God.
Ps 68:2
As smoke is driven away,
so drive them away.
As wax melts before the fire,
so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
4Ps 68:34וְֽצַדִּיקִ֗ים יִשְׂמְח֣וּ יַֽ֭עַלְצוּ לִפְנֵ֥י אֱלֹהִ֗ים וְיָשִׂ֥ישׂוּ בְשִׂמְחָֽה׃Ps 68:3
But let the righteous be glad.
Let them rejoice before God.
Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.
Ps 67:4Ps 67:4καὶ οἱ δίκαιοι εὐφρανθήτωσαν ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ τερφθήτωσαν ἐν εὐφροσύνῃPs 68:3
But let the righteous rejoice; let them exult before God: let them be delighted with joy.

But let the righteous be glad.

Sing to God! Sing praises to his name!
Extol him who rides on the clouds:
to Yah, his name!
Rejoice before him!
Ps 67:5Ps 67:5ᾄσατε τῷ θεῷ ψάλατε τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ ὁδοποιήσατε τῷ ἐπιβεβηκότι ἐπὶ δυσμῶν κύριος ὄνομα αὐτῷ καὶ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ ταραχθήσονται ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦPs 68:4
Sing to God, sing praises to his name: make a way for him that rides upon the west (the Lord is his name) and exult before him. They shall be troubled before the face of him,

Extol him who rides on the clouds:
to Yah, his name!
Rejoice before him!Sing to God! Play instruments to His Name! Make a way for The One riding upon the cloudsª. The Lord is His name. Exult in His presence and tremble before His face.

6Ps 68:56אֲבִ֣י יְ֭תוֹמִים וְדַיַּ֣ן אַלְמָנ֑וֹת אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים בִּמְע֥וֹן קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃Ps 68:5
A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation.
Ps 67:6Ps 67:6τοῦ πατρὸς τῶν ὀρφανῶν καὶ κριτοῦ τῶν χηρῶν ὁ θεὸς ἐν τόπῳ ἁγίῳ αὐτοῦPs 68:5
who is the father of the orphans, and judge of the widows: such is God in his holy place.

7Ps 68:67אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ מ֘וֹשִׁ֤יב יְחִידִ֨ים ׀ בַּ֗יְתָה מוֹצִ֣יא אֲ֭סִירִים בַּכּוֹשָׁר֑וֹת אַ֥ךְ ס֝וֹרֲרִ֗ים שָׁכְנ֥וּ צְחִיחָֽה׃Ps 68:6
God sets the lonely in families.
He brings out the prisoners with singing,
but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.
Ps 67:7Ps 67:7ὁ θεὸς κατοικίζει μονοτρόπους ἐν οἴκῳ ἐξάγων πεπεδημένους ἐν ἀνδρείᾳ ὁμοίως τοὺς παραπικραίνοντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν τάφοιςPs 68:6
God settles the solitary in a house; leading forth prisoners mightily, also them that act provokingly, even them that dwell in tombs.
Ps 68:6
God sets the lonely in families.
He brings out the prisoners with singing,
but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.
8Ps 68:78אֱ‍ֽלֹהִ֗ים בְּ֭צֵאתְךָ לִפְנֵ֣י עַמֶּ֑ךָ בְּצַעְדְּךָ֖ בִֽישִׁימ֣וֹן סֶֽלָה׃Ps 68:7
God, when you went forth before your people,
when you marched through the wilderness...

9Ps 68:89אֶ֤רֶץ רָעָ֨שָׁה ׀ אַף־שָׁמַ֣יִם נָטְפוּ֮ מִפְּנֵ֪י אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים זֶ֥ה סִינַ֑י מִפְּנֵ֥י אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Ps 68:8
The earth trembled.
The sky also poured down rain at the presence of the God of Sinai—
at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

the earth quaked, yea, the heavens dropped water at the presence of the God of Sina, at the presence of the God of Israel.

10Ps 68:910גֶּ֣שֶׁם נְ֭דָבוֹת תָּנִ֣יף אֱלֹהִ֑ים נַחֲלָתְךָ֥ וְ֝נִלְאָ֗ה אַתָּ֥ה כֽוֹנַנְתָּֽהּ׃Ps 68:9
You, God, sent a plentiful rain.
You confirmed your inheritance, when it was weary.
Ps 67:10Ps 67:10βροχὴν ἑκούσιον ἀφοριεῖς ὁ θεός τῇ κληρονομίᾳ σου καὶ ἠσθένησεν σὺ δὲ κατηρτίσω αὐτήνPs 68:9
O God, thou wilt grant to thine inheritance a gracious rain; for it was weary, but thou didst refresh it.
Ps 68:9
You, God, sent a plentiful rain.
You confirmed your inheritance, when it was weary.
11Ps 68:1011חַיָּתְךָ֥ יָֽשְׁבוּ־בָ֑הּ תָּ֤כִ֥ין בְּטוֹבָתְךָ֖ לֶעָנִ֣י אֱלֹהִֽים׃Ps 68:10
Your congregation lived therein.
You, God, prepared your goodness for the poor.
Ps 67:11Ps 67:11τὰ ζῷά σου κατοικοῦσιν ἐν αὐτῇ ἡτοίμασας ἐν τῇ χρηστότητί σου τῷ πτωχῷ ὁ θεόςPs 68:10
Thy creatures dwell in it: thou hast in thy goodness prepared for the poor.

You, God, prepared your goodness for the poor.
12Ps 68:1112אֲדֹנָ֥י יִתֶּן־אֹ֑מֶר הַֽ֝מְבַשְּׂר֗וֹת צָבָ֥א רָֽב׃Ps 68:11
The Lord announced the word.
The ones who proclaim it are a great company.
Ps 67:12Ps 67:12κύριος δώσει ῥῆμα τοῖς εὐαγγελιζομένοις δυνάμει πολλῇPs 68:11
The Lord God will give a word to them that preach it in a great company.

13Ps 68:1213מַלְכֵ֣י צְ֭בָאוֹת יִדֹּד֣וּן יִדֹּד֑וּן וּנְוַת בַּ֝֗יִת תְּחַלֵּ֥ק שָׁלָֽל׃Ps 68:12
“Kings of armies flee! They flee!”
She who waits at home divides the spoil,
Ps 67:13Ps 67:13ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν δυνάμεων τοῦ ἀγαπητοῦ καὶ ὡραιότητι τοῦ οἴκου διελέσθαι σκῦλαPs 68:12

while you sleep among the campfires,
the wings of a dove sheathed with silver,
her feathers with shining gold.
Ps 67:14Ps 67:14ἐὰν κοιμηθῆτε ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν κλήρων πτέρυγες περιστερᾶς περιηργυρωμέναι καὶ τὰ μετάφρενα αὐτῆς ἐν χλωρότητι χρυσίου διάψαλμαPs 68:13
Even if ye should lie among the lots, ye shall have the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her breast with yellow gold.
Ps 68:13
while you sleep among the campfires,
the wings of a dove sheathed with silver,
her feathers with shining gold.
15Ps 68:1415בְּפָ֘רֵ֤שׂ שַׁדַּ֓י מְלָ֘כִ֤ים בָּ֗הּ תַּשְׁלֵ֥ג בְּצַלְמֽוֹן׃Ps 68:14
When the Almighty scattered kings in her,
it snowed on Zalmon.
Ps 67:15Ps 67:15ἐν τῷ διαστέλλειν τὸν ἐπουράνιον βασιλεῖς ἐπ’ αὐτῆς χιονωθήσονται ἐν ΣελμωνPs 68:14
When the heavenly One scatters kings upon it, they shall be made snow-white in Selmon.

The mountains of Bashan are majestic mountains.
The mountains of Bashan are rugged.

The mountain of God is a rich mountain; a swelling mountain, a rich mountain.

17Ps 68:1617לָ֤מָּה ׀ תְּֽרַצְּדוּן֮ הָרִ֪ים גַּבְנֻ֫נִּ֥ים הָהָ֗ר חָמַ֣ד אֱלֹהִ֣ים לְשִׁבְתּ֑וֹ אַף־יְ֝הוָ֗ה יִשְׁכֹּ֥ן לָנֶֽצַח׃Ps 68:16
Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains,
at the mountain where God chooses to reign?
Yes, Yahweh will dwell there forever.
Ps 67:17Ps 67:17ἵνα τί ὑπολαμβάνετε ὄρη τετυρωμένα τὸ ὄρος ὃ εὐδόκησεν ὁ θεὸς κατοικεῖν ἐν αὐτῷ καὶ γὰρ ὁ κύριος κατασκηνώσει εἰς τέλοςPs 68:16
Wherefore do ye conceive evil, ye swelling mountains? this is the mountain which God has delighted to dwell in; yea, the Lord will dwell in it for ever.

Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains,
at the mountain where God chooses to reign?
Yes, Yahweh will dwell there forever.
18Ps 68:1718רֶ֤כֶב אֱלֹהִ֗ים רִבֹּתַ֣יִם אַלְפֵ֣י שִׁנְאָ֑ן אֲדֹנָ֥י בָ֝֗ם סִינַ֥י בַּקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃Ps 68:17
The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands.
The Lord is among them, from Sinai, into the sanctuary.
Ps 67:18Ps 67:18τὸ ἅρμα τοῦ θεοῦ μυριοπλάσιον χιλιάδες εὐθηνούντων ὁ κύριος ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν Σινα ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳPs 68:17
The chariots of God are ten thousand fold, thousands of rejoicing ones: the Lord is among them, in Sina, in the holy place.

You have ascended on high.
You have led away captives.
You have received gifts among men,
yes, among the rebellious also, that Yah God might dwell there.
Ps 67:19Ps 67:19ἀνέβης εἰς ὕψος ᾐχμαλώτευσας αἰχμαλωσίαν ἔλαβες δόματα ἐν ἀνθρώπῳ καὶ γὰρ ἀπειθοῦντες τοῦ κατασκηνῶσαι κύριος ὁ θεὸς εὐλογητόςPs 68:18
Thou art gone up on high, thou hast led captivity captive, thou hast received gifts for man, yea, for they were rebellious, that thou mightest dwell among them.
Ps 68:18
You have ascended on high.
You have led away captives.
You have received gifts among men,
yes, among the rebellious also, that Yah God might dwell there.
20Ps 68:1920בָּ֤ר֣וּךְ אֲדֹנָי֮ י֤וֹם ׀ י֥וֹם יַֽעֲמָס־לָ֗נוּ הָ֘אֵ֤ל יְֽשׁוּעָתֵ֬נוּ סֶֽלָה׃Ps 68:19
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens,
even the God who is our salvation.

Ps 67:20Ps 67:20εὐλογητὸς κύριος ἡμέραν καθ’ ἡμέραν κατευοδώσει ἡμῖν ὁ θεὸς τῶν σωτηρίων ἡμῶν διάψαλμαPs 68:19
Blessed be the Lord God, blessed be the Lord daily; and the God of our salvation shall prosper us. Pause.

Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens,
even the God who is our salvation.

21Ps 68:2021הָ֤אֵ֣ל ׀ לָנוּ֮ אֵ֤ל לְֽמוֹשָׁ֫ע֥וֹת וְלֵיהוִ֥ה אֲדֹנָ֑י לַ֝מָּ֗וֶת תּוֹצָאֽוֹת׃Ps 68:20
God is to us a God of deliverance.
To Yahweh, the Lord, belongs escape from death.
Ps 67:21Ps 67:21ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν θεὸς τοῦ σῴζειν καὶ τοῦ κυρίου κυρίου αἱ διέξοδοι τοῦ θανάτουPs 68:20
Our God is the God of salvation; and to the Lord belong the issues from death.
Ps 68:20
God is to us a God of deliverance.
To Yahweh, the Lord, belongs escape from death.
22Ps 68:2122אַךְ־אֱלֹהִ֗ים יִמְחַץ֮ רֹ֤אשׁ אֹ֫יְבָ֥יו קָדְקֹ֥ד שֵׂעָ֑ר מִ֝תְהַלֵּ֗ךְ בַּאֲשָׁמָֽיו׃Ps 68:21
But God will strike through the head of his enemies,
the hairy scalp of such a one as still continues in his guiltiness.
Ps 67:22Ps 67:22πλὴν ὁ θεὸς συνθλάσει κεφαλὰς ἐχθρῶν αὐτοῦ κορυφὴν τριχὸς διαπορευομένων ἐν πλημμελείαις αὐτῶνPs 68:21
But God shall crust the heads of his enemies; the hairy crown of them that go on in their trespasses.
Ps 68:21
But God will strike through the head of his enemies,
the hairy scalp of such a one as still continues in his guiltiness.
23Ps 68:2223אָמַ֣ר אֲ֭דֹנָי מִבָּשָׁ֣ן אָשִׁ֑יב אָ֝שִׁ֗יב מִֽמְּצֻל֥וֹת יָֽם׃Ps 68:22
The Lord said, “I will bring you again from Bashan,
I will bring you again from the depths of the sea;
Ps 67:23Ps 67:23εἶπεν κύριος ἐκ Βασαν ἐπιστρέψω ἐπιστρέψω ἐν βυθοῖς θαλάσσηςPs 68:22
The Lord said, I will bring again from Basan, I will bring my people again through the depths of the sea.
Ps 68:22
The Lord said, “I will bring you again from Bashan,
I will bring you again from the depths of the sea;
24Ps 68:2324לְמַ֤עַן ׀ תִּֽמְחַ֥ץ רַגְלְךָ֗ בְּ֫דָ֥ם לְשׁ֥וֹן כְּלָבֶ֑יךָ מֵאֹיְבִ֥ים מִנֵּֽהוּ׃Ps 68:23
That you may crush them, dipping your foot in blood,
that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from your enemies.”
Ps 67:24Ps 67:24ὅπως ἂν βαφῇ ὁ πούς σου ἐν αἵματι ἡ γλῶσσα τῶν κυνῶν σου ἐξ ἐχθρῶν παρ’ αὐτοῦPs 68:23
That thy foot may be dipped in blood, and the tongue of thy dogs be stained with that of thine enemies.
Ps 68:23
That you may crush them, dipping your foot in blood,
that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from your enemies.”
25Ps 68:2425רָא֣וּ הֲלִיכוֹתֶ֣יךָ אֱלֹהִ֑ים הֲלִ֘יכ֤וֹת אֵלִ֖י מַלְכִּ֣י בַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃Ps 68:24
They have seen your processions, God,
even the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.
Ps 67:25Ps 67:25ἐθεωρήθησαν αἱ πορεῖαί σου ὁ θεός αἱ πορεῖαι τοῦ θεοῦ μου τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳPs 68:24
Thy goings, O God, have been seen; the goings of my God, the king, in the sanctuary.
Ps 68:24
They have seen your processions, God,
even the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.
26Ps 68:2526קִדְּמ֣וּ שָׁ֭רִים אַחַ֣ר נֹגְנִ֑ים בְּת֥וֹךְ עֲ֝לָמ֗וֹת תּוֹפֵפֽוֹת׃Ps 68:25
The singers went before, the minstrels followed after,
in the midst of the ladies playing with tambourines,
Ps 67:26Ps 67:26προέφθασαν ἄρχοντες ἐχόμενοι ψαλλόντων ἐν μέσῳ νεανίδων τυμπανιστριῶνPs 68:25
The princes went first, next before the players on instruments, in the midst of damsels playing on timbrels.
Ps 68:25
The singers went before, the minstrels followed after,
in the midst of the ladies playing with tambourines,
27Ps 68:2627בְּֽ֭מַקְהֵלוֹת בָּרְכ֣וּ אֱלֹהִ֑ים יְ֝הוָ֗ה מִמְּק֥וֹר יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Ps 68:26
“Bless God in the congregations,
even the Lord in the assembly of Israel!”
Ps 67:27Ps 67:27ἐν ἐκκλησίαις εὐλογεῖτε τὸν θεόν τὸν κύριον ἐκ πηγῶν ΙσραηλPs 68:26
Praise God in the congregations, the Lord from the fountains of Israel.

“Bless God in the congregations,
even the Lord in the assembly of Israel!”
28Ps 68:2728שָׁ֤ם בִּנְיָמִ֨ן ׀ צָעִ֡יר רֹדֵ֗ם שָׂרֵ֣י יְ֭הוּדָה רִגְמָתָ֑ם שָׂרֵ֥י זְ֝בֻל֗וּן שָׂרֵ֥י נַפְתָּלִֽי׃Ps 68:27
There is little Benjamin, their ruler,
the princes of Judah, their council,
the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
Ps 67:28Ps 67:28ἐκεῖ Βενιαμιν νεώτερος ἐν ἐκστάσει ἄρχοντες Ιουδα ἡγεμόνες αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες Ζαβουλων ἄρχοντες ΝεφθαλιPs 68:27
There is Benjamin the younger one in ecstasy, the princes of Juda their rulers, the princes of Zabulon, the princes of Nephthali.
Ps 68:27
There is little Benjamin, their ruler,
the princes of Judah, their council,
the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
29Ps 68:2829צִוָּ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ עֻ֫זֶּ֥ךָ עוּזָּ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֑ים ז֝֗וּ פָּעַ֥לְתָּ לָּֽנוּ׃Ps 68:28
Your God has commanded your strength.
Strengthen, God, that which you have done for us.

31Ps 68:3031גְּעַ֨ר חַיַּ֪ת קָנֶ֡ה עֲדַ֤ת אַבִּירִ֨ים ׀ בְּעֶגְלֵ֬י עַמִּ֗ים מִתְרַפֵּ֥ס בְּרַצֵּי־כָ֑סֶף בִּזַּ֥ר עַ֝מִּ֗ים קְרָב֥וֹת יֶחְפָּֽצוּ׃Ps 68:30
Rebuke the wild animal of the reeds,
the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples.
Being humbled, may it bring bars of silver.
Scatter the nations that delight in war.
Ps 67:31Ps 67:31ἐπιτίμησον τοῖς θηρίοις τοῦ καλάμου ἡ συναγωγὴ τῶν ταύρων ἐν ταῖς δαμάλεσιν τῶν λαῶν τοῦ μὴ ἀποκλεισθῆναι τοὺς δεδοκιμασμένους τῷ ἀργυρίῳ διασκόρπισον ἔθνη τὰ τοὺς πολέμους θέλονταPs 68:30
Rebuke the wild beasts of the reed: let the crowd of bulls with the heifers of the nations be rebuked, so that they who have been proved with silver may not be shut out: scatter thou the nations that wish for wars.

Princes shall come out of Egypt.
Ethiopia shall hurry to stretch out her hands to God.
Ps 67:32Ps 67:32ἥξουσιν πρέσβεις ἐξ Αἰγύπτου Αἰθιοπία προφθάσει χεῖρα αὐτῆς τῷ θεῷPs 68:31
Ambassadors shall arrive out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall hasten to stretch out her hand readily to God.

33Ps 68:3233מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָ֭אָרֶץ שִׁ֣ירוּ לֵאלֹהִ֑ים זַמְּר֖וּ אֲדֹנָ֣י סֶֽלָה׃Ps 68:32
Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth!
Sing praises to the Lord!

To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which are of old;
behold, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.

Sing to God that rides on the heaven of heaven, eastward: lo, he will utter a mighty sound with his voice.

35Ps 68:3435תְּנ֥וּ עֹ֗ז לֵֽאלֹ֫הִ֥ים עַֽל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל גַּאֲוָת֑וֹ וְ֝עֻזּ֗וֹ בַּשְּׁחָקִֽים׃Ps 68:34
Ascribe strength to God!
His excellency is over Israel,
his strength is in the skies.
Ps 67:35Ps 67:35δότε δόξαν τῷ θεῷ ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ ἡ μεγαλοπρέπεια αὐτοῦ καὶ ἡ δύναμις αὐτοῦ ἐν ταῖς νεφέλαιςPs 68:34
Give ye glory to God: his excellency is over Israel, and his power is in the clouds.

Ascribe strength to God!
His excellency is over Israel,
his strength is in the skies.
36Ps 68:3536נ֤וֹרָ֥א אֱלֹהִ֗ים מִֽמִּקְדָּ֫שֶׁ֥יךָ אֵ֤ל יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל ה֤וּא נֹתֵ֨ן ׀ עֹ֖ז וְתַעֲצֻמ֥וֹת לָעָ֗ם בָּר֥וּךְ אֱלֹהִֽים׃Ps 68:35
You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries.
The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people.

God is wonderful in his holy places, the God of Israel: he will give power and strength to his people: blessed be God.
