The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, speaks,
and calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.

ψαλμὸς τῷ Ασαφ θεὸς θεῶν κύριος ἐλάλησεν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὴν γῆν ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου καὶ μέχρι δυσμῶν
Ps 50:1
A Psalm for Asaph. The God of gods, the Lord, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof.

(0) ¶A Psalm by Asaph. (1)
The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, speaks,
and calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.
2Ps 50:22מִצִּיּ֥וֹן מִכְלַל־יֹ֗פִי אֱלֹהִ֥ים הוֹפִֽיעַ׃Ps 50:2
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
God shines forth.
Ps 49:2Ps 49:2ἐκ Σιων ἡ εὐπρέπεια τῆς ὡραιότητος αὐτοῦ ὁ θεὸς ἐμφανῶς ἥξειPs 50:2
Out of Sion comes the excellence of his beauty.
Ps 50:2
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
God shines forth.
3Ps 50:33יָ֤בֹ֥א אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ וְֽאַל־יֶ֫חֱרַ֥שׁ אֵשׁ־לְפָנָ֥יו תֹּאכֵ֑ל וּ֝סְבִיבָ֗יו נִשְׂעֲרָ֥ה מְאֹֽד׃Ps 50:3
Our God comes, and does not keep silent.
A fire devours before him.
It is very stormy around him.
Ps 49:3Ps 49:3ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν καὶ οὐ παρασιωπήσεται πῦρ ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ καυθήσεται καὶ κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ καταιγὶς σφόδραPs 50:3
God, our God, shall come manifestly, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall be kindled before him, and round about him there shall be a very great tempest.
Ps 50:3
Our God comes, and does not keep silent.
A fire devours before him.
It is very stormy around him.
4Ps 50:44יִקְרָ֣א אֶל־הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם מֵעָ֑ל וְאֶל־הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ לָדִ֥ין עַמּֽוֹ׃Ps 50:4
He calls to the heavens above,
to the earth, that he may judge his people:
Ps 49:4Ps 49:4προσκαλέσεται τὸν οὐρανὸν ἄνω καὶ τὴν γῆν διακρῖναι τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦPs 50:4
He shall summon the heaven above, and the earth, that he may judge his people.
Ps 50:4
He calls to the heavens above,
to the earth, that he may judge his people:
5Ps 50:55אִסְפוּ־לִ֥י חֲסִידָ֑י כֹּרְתֵ֖י בְרִיתִ֣י עֲלֵי־זָֽבַח׃Ps 50:5
“Gather my saints together to me,
those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
Ps 49:5Ps 49:5συναγάγετε αὐτῷ τοὺς ὁσίους αὐτοῦ τοὺς διατιθεμένους τὴν διαθήκην αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ θυσίαιςPs 50:5
Assemble ye his saints to him, those that have engaged in a covenant with him upon sacrifices.
Ps 50:5
“Gather my saints together to me,
those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
6Ps 50:66וַיַּגִּ֣ידוּ שָׁמַ֣יִם צִדְק֑וֹ כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִ֓ים ׀ שֹׁפֵ֖ט ה֣וּא סֶֽלָה׃Ps 50:6
The heavens shall declare his righteousness,
for God himself is judge.
Selah.
Ps 49:6Ps 49:6καὶ ἀναγγελοῦσιν οἱ οὐρανοὶ τὴν δικαιοσύνην αὐτοῦ ὅτι ὁ θεὸς κριτής ἐστιν διάψαλμαPs 50:6
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge. Pause.
Ps 50:6
The heavens shall declare his righteousness,
for God himself is judge.

7Ps 50:77שִׁמְעָ֤ה עַמִּ֨י ׀ וַאֲדַבֵּ֗רָה יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל וְאָעִ֣ידָה בָּ֑ךְ אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֱלֹהֶ֣יךָ אָנֹֽכִי׃Ps 50:7
“Hear, my people, and I will speak;
Israel, and I will testify against you.
I am God, your God.
Ps 49:7Ps 49:7ἄκουσον λαός μου καὶ λαλήσω σοι Ισραηλ καὶ διαμαρτύρομαί σοι ὁ θεὸς ὁ θεός σού εἰμι ἐγώPs 50:7
Hear, my people, and I will speak to thee, O Israel: and I will testify to thee: I am God, thy God.
Ps 50:7
“Hear, my people, and I will speak;
Israel, and I will testify against you.
I am God, your God.
8Ps 50:88לֹ֣א עַל־זְ֭בָחֶיךָ אוֹכִיחֶ֑ךָ וְעוֹלֹתֶ֖יךָ לְנֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִֽיד׃Ps 50:8
I don’t rebuke you for your sacrifices.
Your burnt offerings are continually before me.
Ps 49:8Ps 49:8οὐκ ἐπὶ ταῖς θυσίαις σου ἐλέγξω σε τὰ δὲ ὁλοκαυτώματά σου ἐνώπιόν μού ἐστιν διὰ παντόςPs 50:8
I will not reprove thee on account of thy sacrifices; for thy whole-burnt-offerings are before me continually.
Ps 50:8
I don’t rebuke you for your sacrifices.
Your burnt offerings are continually before me.
9Ps 50:99לֹא־אֶקַּ֣ח מִבֵּיתְךָ֣ פָ֑ר מִ֝מִּכְלְאֹתֶ֗יךָ עַתּוּדִֽים׃Ps 50:9
I have no need for a bull from your stall,
nor male goats from your pens.
Ps 49:9Ps 49:9οὐ δέξομαι ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου σου μόσχους οὐδὲ ἐκ τῶν ποιμνίων σου χιμάρουςPs 50:9
I will take no bullocks out of thine house, nor he-goats out of thy flocks.
Ps 50:9
I have no need for a bull from your stall,

10Ps 50:1010כִּי־לִ֥י כָל־חַיְתוֹ־יָ֑עַר בְּ֝הֵמ֗וֹת בְּהַרְרֵי־אָֽלֶף׃Ps 50:10
For every animal of the forest is mine,
and the livestock on a thousand hills.
Ps 49:10Ps 49:10ὅτι ἐμά ἐστιν πάντα τὰ θηρία τοῦ δρυμοῦ κτήνη ἐν τοῖς ὄρεσιν καὶ βόεςPs 50:10
For all the wild beasts of the thicket are mine, the cattle on the mountains, and oxen.
Ps 50:10
For every animal of the forest is mine,
and the livestock on a thousand hills.
11Ps 50:1111יָ֭דַעְתִּי כָּל־ע֣וֹף הָרִ֑ים וְזִ֥יז שָׂ֝דַ֗י עִמָּדִֽי׃Ps 50:11
I know all the birds of the mountains.
The wild animals of the field are mine.
Ps 49:11Ps 49:11ἔγνωκα πάντα τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ὡραιότης ἀγροῦ μετ’ ἐμοῦ ἐστινPs 50:11
I know all the birds of the sky; and the beauty of the field is mine.
Ps 50:11
I know all the birds of the mountains.
The wild animals of the field are mine.
12Ps 50:1212אִם־אֶ֭רְעַב לֹא־אֹ֣מַר לָ֑ךְ כִּי־לִ֥י תֵ֝בֵ֗ל וּמְלֹאָֽהּ׃Ps 50:12
If I were hungry, I would not tell you,
for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
Ps 49:12Ps 49:12ἐὰν πεινάσω οὐ μή σοι εἴπω ἐμὴ γάρ ἐστιν ἡ οἰκουμένη καὶ τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτῆςPs 50:12
If I should be hungry, I will not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fullness of it.
Ps 50:12
If I were hungry, I would not tell you,
for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
13Ps 50:1313הַֽ֭אוֹכַל בְּשַׂ֣ר אַבִּירִ֑ים וְדַ֖ם עַתּוּדִ֣ים אֶשְׁתֶּֽה׃Ps 50:13
Will I eat the flesh of bulls,
or drink the blood of goats?
Ps 49:13Ps 49:13μὴ φάγομαι κρέα ταύρων ἢ αἷμα τράγων πίομαιPs 50:13
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
Ps 50:13
Will I eat the flesh of bulls,

14Ps 50:1414זְבַ֣ח לֵאלֹהִ֣ים תּוֹדָ֑ה וְשַׁלֵּ֖ם לְעֶלְי֣וֹן נְדָרֶֽיךָ׃Ps 50:14
Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving.
Pay your vows to the Most High.
Ps 49:14Ps 49:14θῦσον τῷ θεῷ θυσίαν αἰνέσεως καὶ ἀπόδος τῷ ὑψίστῳ τὰς εὐχάς σουPs 50:14
Offer to God the sacrifice of praise; and pay thy vows to the Most High.
Ps 50:14
Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving.
Pay your vows to the Most High.
15Ps 50:1515וּ֭קְרָאֵנִי בְּי֣וֹם צָרָ֑ה אֲ֝חַלֶּצְךָ֗ וּֽתְכַבְּדֵֽנִי׃Ps 50:15
Call on me in the day of trouble.
I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
Ps 49:15Ps 49:15καὶ ἐπικάλεσαί με ἐν ἡμέρᾳ θλίψεως καὶ ἐξελοῦμαί σε καὶ δοξάσεις με διάψαλμαPs 50:15
And call upon me in the day of affliction; and I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Pause.
Ps 50:15
Call on me in the day of trouble.
I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
16Ps 50:1616וְלָ֤רָשָׁ֨ע ׀ אָ֘מַ֤ר אֱלֹהִ֗ים מַה־לְּ֭ךָ לְסַפֵּ֣ר חֻקָּ֑י וַתִּשָּׂ֖א בְרִיתִ֣י עֲלֵי־פִֽיךָ׃Ps 50:16
But to the wicked God says,
“What right do you have to declare my statutes,
that you have taken my covenant on your lips,
Ps 49:16Ps 49:16τῷ δὲ ἁμαρτωλῷ εἶπεν ὁ θεός ἵνα τί σὺ διηγῇ τὰ δικαιώματά μου καὶ ἀναλαμβάνεις τὴν διαθήκην μου διὰ στόματός σουPs 50:16
But to the sinner God has said, Why dost thou declare my ordinances, and take up my covenant in thy mouth?
Ps 50:16
But to the wicked God says,
“What right do you have to declare my statutes,
that you have taken my covenant on your lips,
17Ps 50:1717וְ֭אַתָּה שָׂנֵ֣אתָ מוּסָ֑ר וַתַּשְׁלֵ֖ךְ דְּבָרַ֣י אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃Ps 50:17
since you hate instruction,
and throw my words behind you?
Ps 49:17Ps 49:17σὺ δὲ ἐμίσησας παιδείαν καὶ ἐξέβαλες τοὺς λόγους μου εἰς τὰ ὀπίσωPs 50:17
Whereas thou hast hated instruction, and hast cast my words behind thee.
Ps 50:17
since you hate instruction,
and throw my words behind you?
18Ps 50:1818אִם־רָאִ֣יתָ גַ֭נָּב וַתִּ֣רֶץ עִמּ֑וֹ וְעִ֖ם מְנָאֲפִ֣ים חֶלְקֶֽךָ׃Ps 50:18
When you saw a thief, you consented with him,
and have participated with adulterers.
Ps 49:18Ps 49:18εἰ ἐθεώρεις κλέπτην συνέτρεχες αὐτῷ καὶ μετὰ μοιχῶν τὴν μερίδα σου ἐτίθειςPs 50:18
If thou sawest a thief, thou rannest along with him, and hast cast in thy lot with adulterers.
Ps 50:18
When you saw a thief, you consented with him,
and have participated with adulterers.
19Ps 50:1919פִּ֭יךָ שָׁלַ֣חְתָּ בְרָעָ֑ה וּ֝לְשׁוֹנְךָ֗ תַּצְמִ֥יד מִרְמָֽה׃Ps 50:19
“You give your mouth to evil.
Your tongue frames deceit.
Ps 49:19Ps 49:19τὸ στόμα σου ἐπλεόνασεν κακίαν καὶ ἡ γλῶσσά σου περιέπλεκεν δολιότηταPs 50:19
Thy mouth has multiplied wickedness, and thy tongue has framed deceit.
Ps 50:19
“You give your mouth to evil.
Your tongue frames deceit.
20Ps 50:2020תֵּ֭שֵׁב בְּאָחִ֣יךָ תְדַבֵּ֑ר בְּבֶֽן־אִ֝מְּךָ֗ תִּתֶּן־דֹּֽפִי׃Ps 50:20
You sit and speak against your brother.
You slander your own mother’s son.
Ps 49:20Ps 49:20καθήμενος κατὰ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου κατελάλεις καὶ κατὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ τῆς μητρός σου ἐτίθεις σκάνδαλονPs 50:20
Thou didst sit and speak against thy brother, and didst scandalize thy mother's son.
Ps 50:20
You sit and speak against your brother.
You slander your own mother’s son.
21Ps 50:2121אֵ֤לֶּה עָשִׂ֨יתָ ׀ וְֽהֶחֱרַ֗שְׁתִּי דִּמִּ֗יתָ הֱֽיוֹת־אֶֽהְיֶ֥ה כָמ֑וֹךָ אוֹכִיחֲךָ֖ וְאֶֽעֶרְכָ֣ה לְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃Ps 50:21
You have done these things, and I kept silent.
You thought that I was just like you.
I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.
Ps 49:21Ps 49:21ταῦτα ἐποίησας καὶ ἐσίγησα ὑπέλαβες ἀνομίαν ὅτι ἔσομαί σοι ὅμοιος ἐλέγξω σε καὶ παραστήσω κατὰ πρόσωπόν σουPs 50:21
These things thou didst, and I kept silence: thou thoughtest wickedly that I should be like thee, but I will reprove thee, and set thine offences before thee.
Ps 50:21
You have done these things, and I kept silent.
You thought that I was just like you.
I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.
22Ps 50:2222בִּֽינוּ־נָ֣א זֹ֭את שֹׁכְחֵ֣י אֱל֑וֹהַּ פֶּן־אֶ֝טְרֹ֗ף וְאֵ֣ין מַצִּֽיל׃Ps 50:22
“Now consider this, you who forget God,
lest I tear you into pieces, and there be none to deliver.
Ps 49:22Ps 49:22σύνετε δὴ ταῦτα οἱ ἐπιλανθανόμενοι τοῦ θεοῦ μήποτε ἁρπάσῃ καὶ μὴ ᾖ ὁ ῥυόμενοςPs 50:22
Now consider these things, ye that forget God, lest he rend you, and there is no deliverer.
Ps 50:22
“Now consider this, you who forget God,
lest I tear you into pieces, and there be none to deliver.Understand this indeed you who forget God, lest you be snatched and there will be no deliverer.
