ψαλμὸς ᾠδῆς τοῖς υἱοῖς Κορε δευτέρᾳ σαββάτου
Ps 48:1
A Psalm of praise for the sons of Core on the second day of the week. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.

2Ps 48:12גָּ֘ד֤וֹל יְהוָ֣ה וּמְהֻלָּ֣ל מְאֹ֑ד בְּעִ֥יר אֱ֝לֹהֵ֗ינוּ הַר־קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃Ps 48:1
Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised,
in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
Ps 47:2Ps 47:2μέγας κύριος καὶ αἰνετὸς σφόδρα ἐν πόλει τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ὄρει ἁγίῳ αὐτοῦ2
Ps 48:1
Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised,
in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
3Ps 48:23יְפֵ֥ה נוֹף֮ מְשׂ֪וֹשׂ כָּל־הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ הַר־צִ֭יּוֹן יַרְכְּתֵ֣י צָפ֑וֹן קִ֝רְיַ֗ת מֶ֣לֶךְ רָֽב׃Ps 48:2
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth,
is Mount Zion, on the north sides,
the city of the great King.
Ps 47:3Ps 47:3εὖ ῥιζῶν ἀγαλλιάματι πάσης τῆς γῆς ὄρη Σιων τὰ πλευρὰ τοῦ βορρᾶ ἡ πόλις τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ μεγάλουPs 48:2
The city of the great King is well planted on the mountains of Sion, with the joy of the whole earth, on the sides of the north.
Ps 48:2
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth,
is Mount Zion, on the north sides,
the city of the great King.
4Ps 48:34אֱלֹהִ֥ים בְּאַרְמְנוֹתֶ֗יהָ נוֹדַ֥ע לְמִשְׂגָּֽב׃Ps 48:3
God has shown himself in her citadels as a refuge.
Ps 47:4Ps 47:4ὁ θεὸς ἐν ταῖς βάρεσιν αὐτῆς γινώσκεται ὅταν ἀντιλαμβάνηται αὐτῆςPs 48:3
God is known in her palaces, when he undertakes to help her.
Ps 48:3
God has shown himself in her citadels as a refuge.
5Ps 48:45כִּֽי־הִנֵּ֣ה הַ֭מְּלָכִים נֽוֹעֲד֑וּ עָבְר֥וּ יַחְדָּֽו׃Ps 48:4
For, behold, the kings assembled themselves,
they passed by together.
Ps 47:5Ps 47:5ὅτι ἰδοὺ οἱ βασιλεῖς συνήχθησαν ἤλθοσαν ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτόPs 48:4
For, behold the kings of the earth were assembled, they came together.
Ps 48:4
For, behold, the kings assembled themselves,
they passed by together.
6Ps 48:56הֵ֣מָּה רָ֭אוּ כֵּ֣ן תָּמָ֑הוּ נִבְהֲל֥וּ נֶחְפָּֽזוּ׃Ps 48:5
They saw it, then they were amazed.
They were dismayed.
They hurried away.
Ps 47:6Ps 47:6αὐτοὶ ἰδόντες οὕτως ἐθαύμασαν ἐταράχθησαν ἐσαλεύθησανPs 48:5
They saw, and so they wondered: they were troubled, they were moved.
Ps 48:5
They saw it, then they were amazed.
They were dismayed.
They hurried away.
7Ps 48:67רְ֭עָדָה אֲחָזָ֣תַם שָׁ֑ם חִ֝֗יל כַּיּוֹלֵֽדָה׃Ps 48:6
Trembling took hold of them there,
pain, as of a woman in travail.
Ps 47:7Ps 47:7τρόμος ἐπελάβετο αὐτῶν ἐκεῖ ὠδῖνες ὡς τικτούσηςPs 48:6
Trembling took hold on them: there were the pangs as of a woman in travail.
Ps 48:6
Trembling took hold of them there,
pain, as of a woman in travail.
8Ps 48:78בְּר֥וּחַ קָדִ֑ים תְּ֝שַׁבֵּ֗ר אֳנִיּ֥וֹת תַּרְשִֽׁישׁ׃Ps 48:7
With the east wind, you break the ships of Tarshish.
Ps 47:8Ps 47:8ἐν πνεύματι βιαίῳ συντρίψεις πλοῖα ΘαρσιςPs 48:7
Thou wilt break the ships of Tharsis with a vehement wind.
Ps 48:7
With the east wind, you break the ships of Tarshish.
9Ps 48:89כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר שָׁמַ֨עְנוּ ׀ כֵּ֤ן רָאִ֗ינוּ בְּעִיר־יְהוָ֣ה צְ֭בָאוֹת בְּעִ֣יר אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ אֱלֹ֘הִ֤ים יְכוֹנְנֶ֖הָ עַד־עוֹלָ֣ם סֶֽלָה׃Ps 48:8
As we have heard, so we have seen,
in the city of Yahweh of Armies, in the city of our God.
God will establish it forever.

Ps 47:9Ps 47:9καθάπερ ἠκούσαμεν οὕτως εἴδομεν ἐν πόλει κυρίου τῶν δυνάμεων ἐν πόλει τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ὁ θεὸς ἐθεμελίωσεν αὐτὴν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα διάψαλμαPs 48:8
As we have heard, so have we also seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God has founded it for ever. Pause.
Ps 48:8
As we have heard, so we have seen,
in the city of Yahweh of Armies, in the city of our God.
God will establish it forever.

10Ps 48:910דִּמִּ֣ינוּ אֱלֹהִ֣ים חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ בְּ֝קֶ֗רֶב הֵיכָלֶֽךָ׃Ps 48:9
We have thought about your loving kindness, God,
in the midst of your temple.
Ps 47:10Ps 47:10ὑπελάβομεν ὁ θεός τὸ ἔλεός σου ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ ναοῦ σουPs 48:9
We have thought of thy mercy, O God, in the midst of thy people.
Ps 48:9
We have thought about your loving kindness, God,
in the midst of your temple.
11Ps 48:1011כְּשִׁמְךָ֤ אֱלֹהִ֗ים כֵּ֣ן תְּ֭הִלָּתְךָ עַל־קַצְוֵי־אֶ֑רֶץ צֶ֝֗דֶק מָלְאָ֥ה יְמִינֶֽךָ׃Ps 48:10
As is your name, God,
so is your praise to the ends of the earth.
Your right hand is full of righteousness.
Ps 47:11Ps 47:11κατὰ τὸ ὄνομά σου ὁ θεός οὕτως καὶ ἡ αἴνεσίς σου ἐπὶ τὰ πέρατα τῆς γῆς δικαιοσύνης πλήρης ἡ δεξιά σουPs 48:10
According to thy name, O God, so is also thy praise to the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
Ps 48:10
As is your name, God,
so is your praise to the ends of the earth.
Your right hand is full of righteousness.
12Ps 48:1112יִשְׂמַ֤ח ׀ הַר־צִיּ֗וֹן תָּ֭גֵלְנָה בְּנ֣וֹת יְהוּדָ֑ה לְ֝מַ֗עַן מִשְׁפָּטֶֽיךָ׃Ps 48:11
Let Mount Zion be glad!
Let the daughters of Judah rejoice,
Because of your judgments.
Ps 47:12Ps 47:12εὐφρανθήτω τὸ ὄρος Σιων ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν αἱ θυγατέρες τῆς Ιουδαίας ἕνεκεν τῶν κριμάτων σου κύριεPs 48:11
Let mount Sion rejoice, let the daughters of Judaea exult, because of thy judgments, O Lord.
Ps 48:11
Let Mount Zion be glad!
Let the daughters of Judah rejoice,
Because of your judgments.
13Ps 48:1213סֹ֣בּוּ צִ֭יּוֹן וְהַקִּיפ֑וּהָ סִ֝פְר֗וּ מִגְדָּלֶֽיהָ׃Ps 48:12
Walk about Zion, and go around her.
Number its towers.
Ps 47:13Ps 47:13κυκλώσατε Σιων καὶ περιλάβετε αὐτήν διηγήσασθε ἐν τοῖς πύργοις αὐτῆςPs 48:12
Go round about Sion, and encompass her: tell ye her towers.
Ps 48:12
Walk about Zion, and go around her.
Number its towers.
14Ps 48:1314שִׁ֤יתוּ לִבְּכֶ֨ם ׀ לְֽחֵילָ֗ה פַּסְּג֥וּ אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ לְמַ֥עַן תְּ֝סַפְּר֗וּ לְד֣וֹר אַחֲרֽוֹן׃Ps 48:13
Mark well her bulwarks.
Consider her palaces,
that you may tell it to the next generation.
Ps 47:14Ps 47:14θέσθε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν εἰς τὴν δύναμιν αὐτῆς καὶ καταδιέλεσθε τὰς βάρεις αὐτῆς ὅπως ἂν διηγήσησθε εἰς γενεὰν ἑτέρανPs 48:13
Mark ye well her strength, and observe her palaces; that ye may tell the next generation.

Mark well her bulwarks.
Consider her palaces,
that you may tell it to the next generation.
15Ps 48:1415כִּ֤י זֶ֨ה ׀ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֱ֭לֹהֵינוּ עוֹלָ֣ם וָעֶ֑ד ה֖וּא יְנַהֲגֵ֣נוּ עַל־מֽוּת׃Ps 48:14
For this God is our God forever and ever.
He will be our guide even to death.
Ps 47:15Ps 47:15ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ θεὸς ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος αὐτὸς ποιμανεῖ ἡμᾶς εἰς τοὺς αἰῶναςPs 48:14
For this is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide for evermore.
Ps 48:14
For this God is our God forever and ever.
He will be our guide even to death.
