Hear, Yahweh, my righteous plea;
Give ear to my prayer, that doesn’t go out of deceitful lips.

Ps 17:1
A prayer of David. Hearken, O Lord of my righteousness, attend to my petition; give ear to my prayer not uttered with deceitful lips.

2Ps 17:22מִ֭לְּפָנֶיךָ מִשְׁפָּטִ֣י יֵצֵ֑א עֵ֝ינֶ֗יךָ תֶּחֱזֶ֥ינָה מֵישָׁרִֽים׃Ps 17:2
Let my sentence come forth from your presence.
Let your eyes look on equity.
Ps 16:2Ps 16:2ἐκ προσώπου σου τὸ κρίμα μου ἐξέλθοι οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου ἰδέτωσαν εὐθύτηταςPs 17:2
Let my judgment come forth from thy presence; let mine eyes behold righteousness.
Ps 17:2
Let my sentence come forth from your presence.
Let your eyes look on equity.May my judgment come from before your face, let my eyes behold uprightness

3Ps 17:33בָּ֘חַ֤נְתָּ לִבִּ֨י ׀ פָּ֘קַ֤דְתָּ לַּ֗יְלָה צְרַפְתַּ֥נִי בַל־תִּמְצָ֑א זַ֝מֹּתִ֗י בַּל־יַעֲבָר־פִּֽי׃Ps 17:3
You have proved my heart.
You have visited me in the night.
You have tried me, and found nothing.
I have resolved that my mouth shall not disobey.
Ps 16:3Ps 16:3ἐδοκίμασας τὴν καρδίαν μου ἐπεσκέψω νυκτός ἐπύρωσάς με καὶ οὐχ εὑρέθη ἐν ἐμοὶ ἀδικίαPs 17:3
Thou has proved mine heart; thou hast visited me by night; thou hast tried me as with fire, and unrighteousness has not been found in me: I am purposed that my mouth shall not speak amiss.
Ps 17:3
You have proved my heart.
You have visited me in the night.
You have tried me, and found nothing.
I have resolved that my mouth shall not disobey.
4Ps 17:44לִפְעֻלּ֣וֹת אָ֭דָם בִּדְבַ֣ר שְׂפָתֶ֑יךָ אֲנִ֥י שָׁ֝מַ֗רְתִּי אָרְח֥וֹת פָּרִֽיץ׃Ps 17:4
As for the works of men, by the word of your lips,
I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.
Ps 16:4Ps 16:4ὅπως ἂν μὴ λαλήσῃ τὸ στόμα μου τὰ ἔργα τῶν ἀνθρώπων διὰ τοὺς λόγους τῶν χειλέων σου ἐγὼ ἐφύλαξα ὁδοὺς σκληράςPs 17:4
As for the works of men, by the words of thy lips I have guarded myself from hard ways.
Ps 17:4
As for the works of men, by the word of your lips,
I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.
5Ps 17:55תָּמֹ֣ךְ אֲ֭שֻׁרַי בְּמַעְגְּלוֹתֶ֑יךָ בַּל־נָמ֥וֹטּוּ פְעָמָֽי׃Ps 17:5
My steps have held fast to your paths.
My feet have not slipped.
Ps 16:5Ps 16:5κατάρτισαι τὰ διαβήματά μου ἐν ταῖς τρίβοις σου ἵνα μὴ σαλευθῶσιν τὰ διαβήματά μουPs 17:5
Direct my steps in thy paths, that my steps slip not.
Ps 17:5
My steps have held fast to your paths.
My feet have not slipped.
6Ps 17:66אֲנִֽי־קְרָאתִ֣יךָ כִֽי־תַעֲנֵ֣נִי אֵ֑ל הַֽט־אָזְנְךָ֥ לִ֝֗י שְׁמַ֣ע אִמְרָתִֽי׃Ps 17:6
I have called on you, for you will answer me, God.
Turn your ear to me.
Hear my speech.
Ps 16:6Ps 16:6ἐγὼ ἐκέκραξα ὅτι ἐπήκουσάς μου ὁ θεός κλῖνον τὸ οὖς σου ἐμοὶ καὶ εἰσάκουσον τῶν ῥημάτων μουPs 17:6
I have cried, for thou heardest me, O God: incline thine ear to me, and hearken to my words.
Ps 17:6
I have called on you, for you will answer me, God.
Turn your ear to me.
Hear my speech.
7Ps 17:77הַפְלֵ֣ה חֲ֭סָדֶיךָ מוֹשִׁ֣יעַ חוֹסִ֑ים מִ֝מִּתְקוֹמְמִ֗ים בִּֽימִינֶֽךָ׃Ps 17:7
Show your marvelous loving kindness,
you who save those who take refuge by your right hand from their enemies.
Ps 16:7Ps 16:7θαυμάστωσον τὰ ἐλέη σου ὁ σῴζων τοὺς ἐλπίζοντας ἐπὶ σὲ ἐκ τῶν ἀνθεστηκότων τῇ δεξιᾷ σουPs 17:7
Shew the marvels of thy mercies, thou that savest them that hope in thee.
Ps 17:7
Show your marvelous loving kindness,
you who save those who take refuge by your right hand from their enemies.
8Ps 17:88שָׁ֭מְרֵנִי כְּאִישׁ֣וֹן בַּת־עָ֑יִן בְּצֵ֥ל כְּ֝נָפֶ֗יךָ תַּסְתִּירֵֽנִי׃Ps 17:8
Keep me as the apple of your eye.
Hide me under the shadow of your wings,
Ps 16:8Ps 16:8φύλαξόν με ὡς κόραν ὀφθαλμοῦ ἐν σκέπῃ τῶν πτερύγων σου σκεπάσεις μεPs 17:8
Keep me as the apple of the eye from those that resist thy right hand: thou shalt screen me by the covering of thy wings,
Ps 17:8
Keep me as the apple of your eye.
Hide me under the shadow of your wings,
9Ps 17:99מִפְּנֵ֣י רְ֭שָׁעִים ז֣וּ שַׁדּ֑וּנִי אֹיְבַ֥י בְּ֝נֶ֗פֶשׁ יַקִּ֥יפוּ עָלָֽי׃Ps 17:9
from the wicked who oppress me,
my deadly enemies, who surround me.
Ps 16:9Ps 16:9ἀπὸ προσώπου ἀσεβῶν τῶν ταλαιπωρησάντων με οἱ ἐχθροί μου τὴν ψυχήν μου περιέσχονPs 17:9
from the face of the ungodly that have afflicted me: mine enemies have compassed about my soul.
Ps 17:9
from the wicked who oppress me,
my deadly enemies, who surround me.
10Ps 17:1010חֶלְבָּ֥מוֹ סָּגְר֑וּ פִּ֝֗ימוֹ דִּבְּר֥וּ בְגֵאֽוּת׃Ps 17:10
They close up their callous hearts.
With their mouth they speak proudly.
Ps 16:10Ps 16:10τὸ στέαρ αὐτῶν συνέκλεισαν τὸ στόμα αὐτῶν ἐλάλησεν ὑπερηφανίανPs 17:10
They have enclosed themselves with their own fat: their mouth has spoken pride.
Ps 17:10
They close up their callous hearts.
With their mouth they speak proudly.
11Ps 17:1111אַ֭שֻּׁרֵינוּ עַתָּ֣ה ‏{ סבבוני סְבָב֑וּנוּ }‏ עֵינֵיהֶ֥ם יָ֝שִׁ֗יתוּ לִנְט֥וֹת בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

Ps 17:11
They have now surrounded us in our steps.
They set their eyes to cast us down to the earth.
Ps 16:11Ps 16:11ἐκβάλλοντές με νυνὶ περιεκύκλωσάν με τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν ἔθεντο ἐκκλῖναι ἐν τῇ γῇPs 17:11
They have now cast me out and compassed me round about: they have set their eyes so as to bow them down to the ground.

They have now surrounded us in our steps.
They set their eyes to cast us down to the earth.
12Ps 17:1212דִּמְיֹנ֗וֹ כְּ֭אַרְיֵה יִכְס֣וֹף לִטְר֑וֹף וְ֝כִכְפִ֗יר יֹשֵׁ֥ב בְּמִסְתָּרִֽים׃Ps 17:12
He is like a lion that is greedy of his prey,
as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
Ps 16:12Ps 16:12ὑπέλαβόν με ὡσεὶ λέων ἕτοιμος εἰς θήραν καὶ ὡσεὶ σκύμνος οἰκῶν ἐν ἀποκρύφοιςPs 17:12
They laid wait for me as a lion ready for prey, and like a lion's whelp dwelling in secret places.
Ps 17:12
He is like a lion that is greedy of his prey,
as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
13Ps 17:1313קוּמָ֤ה יְהוָ֗ה קַדְּמָ֣ה פָ֭נָיו הַכְרִיעֵ֑הוּ פַּלְּטָ֥ה נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י מֵרָשָׁ֥ע חַרְבֶּֽךָ׃Ps 17:13
Arise, Yahweh, confront him.
Cast him down.
Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword;
Ps 16:13Ps 16:13ἀνάστηθι κύριε πρόφθασον αὐτοὺς καὶ ὑποσκέλισον αὐτούς ῥῦσαι τὴν ψυχήν μου ἀπὸ ἀσεβοῦς ῥομφαίαν σου ἀπὸ ἐχθρῶν τῆς χειρός σουPs 17:13
Arise, O Lord, prevent them, and cast them down: deliver my soul from the ungodly: draw thy sword,
Ps 17:13
Arise, Yahweh, confront him.
Cast him down.
Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword;Arise Lord, anticipate them! Trip them
Deliver my soul from the ungodly, your sword from the enemies of your hand

14Ps 17:1414מִֽמְתִ֥ים יָדְךָ֨ ׀ יְהוָ֡ה מִֽמְתִ֬ים מֵחֶ֗לֶד חֶלְקָ֥ם בַּֽחַיִּים֮ ‏{ וצפינך וּֽצְפוּנְךָ֮ }‏ תְּמַלֵּ֪א בִ֫טְנָ֥ם יִשְׂבְּע֥וּ בָנִ֑ים וְהִנִּ֥יחוּ יִ֝תְרָ֗ם לְעוֹלְלֵיהֶֽם׃

Ps 17:14
from men by your hand, Yahweh,
from men of the world, whose portion is in this life.
You fill the belly of your cherished ones.
Your sons have plenty,
and they store up wealth for their children.
Ps 16:14Ps 16:14κύριε ἀπὸ ὀλίγων ἀπὸ γῆς διαμέρισον αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ζωῇ αὐτῶν καὶ τῶν κεκρυμμένων σου ἐπλήσθη ἡ γαστὴρ αὐτῶν ἐχορτάσθησαν υἱῶν καὶ ἀφῆκαν τὰ κατάλοιπα τοῖς νηπίοις αὐτῶνPs 17:14
because of the enemies of thine hand: O Lord, destroy them from the earth; scatter them in their life, though their belly has been filled with thy hidden treasures: they have been satisfied with uncleanness, and have left the remnant of their possessions to their babes.
Ps 17:14
from men by your hand, Yahweh,
from men of the world, whose portion is in this life.
You fill the belly of your cherished ones.
Your sons have plenty,
and they store up wealth for their children.Lord from few of the ;and, divide them by their life, and those who have hidden in You, their belly was filled, they were satisfied with sons, and they left the remnant to their infants

15Ps 17:1515אֲנִ֗י בְּ֭צֶדֶק אֶחֱזֶ֣ה פָנֶ֑יךָ אֶשְׂבְּעָ֥ה בְ֝הָקִ֗יץ תְּמוּנָתֶֽךָ׃Ps 17:15
As for me, I shall see your face in righteousness.
I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with seeing your form.
Ps 16:15Ps 16:15ἐγὼ δὲ ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ ὀφθήσομαι τῷ προσώπῳ σου χορτασθήσομαι ἐν τῷ ὀφθῆναι τὴν δόξαν σουPs 17:15
But I shall appear in righteousness before thy face: I shall be satisfied when thy glory appears.
Ps 17:15
As for me, I shall see your face in righteousness.
I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with seeing your form.
