In Yahweh, I take refuge.
How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain!”

εἰς τὸ τέλος ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ ἐπὶ τῷ κυρίῳ πέποιθα πᾶς ἐρεῖτε τῇ ψυχῇ μου μεταναστεύου ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη ὡς στρουθίον
Ps 11:1
For the end, a Psalm of David. In the Lord I have put my trust: how will ye say to my soul, Flee to the mountains as a sparrow?
Ps 11:0-1

In Yahweh, I take refuge.
How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain!”
2Ps 11:22כִּ֤י הִנֵּ֪ה הָרְשָׁעִ֡ים יִדְרְכ֬וּן קֶ֗שֶׁת כּוֹנְנ֣וּ חִצָּ֣ם עַל־יֶ֑תֶר לִיר֥וֹת בְּמוֹ־אֹ֝֗פֶל לְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃Ps 11:2
For, behold, the wicked bend their bows.
They set their arrows on the strings,
that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
Ps 10:2Ps 10:2ὅτι ἰδοὺ οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἐνέτειναν τόξον ἡτοίμασαν βέλη εἰς φαρέτραν τοῦ κατατοξεῦσαι ἐν σκοτομήνῃ τοὺς εὐθεῖς τῇ καρδίᾳPs 11:2
For behold the sinners have bent their bow, they have prepared their arrows for the quiver, to shoot privily at the upright in heart.
Ps 11:2
For, behold, the wicked bend their bows.
They set their arrows on the strings,
that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
3Ps 11:33כִּ֣י הַ֭שָּׁתוֹת יֵֽהָרֵס֑וּן צַ֝דִּ֗יק מַה־פָּעָֽל׃Ps 11:3
If the foundations are destroyed,
what can the righteous do?
Ps 10:3Ps 10:3ὅτι ἃ κατηρτίσω καθεῖλον ὁ δὲ δίκαιος τί ἐποίησενPs 11:3
For they have pulled down what thou didst frame, but what has the righteous done?
Ps 11:3
If the foundations are destroyed,
what can the righteous do?
4Ps 11:44יְהוָ֤ה ׀ בְּֽהֵ֘יכַ֤ל קָדְשׁ֗וֹ יְהוָה֮ בַּשָּׁמַ֪יִם כִּ֫סְא֥וֹ עֵינָ֥יו יֶחֱז֑וּ עַפְעַפָּ֥יו יִ֝בְחֲנ֗וּ בְּנֵ֣י אָדָֽם׃Ps 11:4
Yahweh is in his holy temple.
Yahweh is on his throne in heaven.
His eyes observe.
His eyes examine the children of men.
Ps 10:4Ps 10:4κύριος ἐν ναῷ ἁγίῳ αὐτοῦ κύριος ἐν οὐρανῷ ὁ θρόνος αὐτοῦ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν πένητα ἀποβλέπουσιν τὰ βλέφαρα αὐτοῦ ἐξετάζει τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπωνPs 11:4
The Lord is in his holy temple, as for the Lord, his throne is in heaven: his eyes look upon the poor, his eyelids try the sons of men.
Ps 11:4
Yahweh is in his holy temple.
Yahweh is on his throne in heaven.
His eyes observe.
His eyes examine the children of men.
5Ps 11:55יְהוָה֮ צַדִּ֪יק יִ֫בְחָ֥ן וְ֭רָשָׁע וְאֹהֵ֣ב חָמָ֑ס שָֽׂנְאָ֥ה נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃Ps 11:5
Yahweh examines the righteous,
but the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates.
Ps 10:5Ps 10:5κύριος ἐξετάζει τὸν δίκαιον καὶ τὸν ἀσεβῆ ὁ δὲ ἀγαπῶν ἀδικίαν μισεῖ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ψυχήνPs 11:5
The Lord tries the righteous and the ungodly: and he that loves unrighteousness hates his own soul.
Ps 11:5
Yahweh examines the righteous,
but the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates.
6Ps 11:66יַמְטֵ֥ר עַל־רְשָׁעִ֗ים פַּ֫חִ֥ים אֵ֣שׁ וְ֭גָפְרִית וְר֥וּחַ זִלְעָפ֗וֹת מְנָ֣ת כּוֹסָֽם׃Ps 11:6
On the wicked he will rain blazing coals;
fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
Ps 10:6Ps 10:6ἐπιβρέξει ἐπὶ ἁμαρτωλοὺς παγίδας πῦρ καὶ θεῖον καὶ πνεῦμα καταιγίδος ἡ μερὶς τοῦ ποτηρίου αὐτῶνPs 11:6
He shall rain upon sinners snares, fire, and brimstone, and a stormy blast shall be the portion of their cup.
Ps 11:6
On the wicked he will rain blazing coals;
fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7Ps 11:77כִּֽי־צַדִּ֣יק יְ֭הוָה צְדָק֣וֹת אָהֵ֑ב יָ֝שָׁ֗ר יֶחֱז֥וּ פָנֵֽימוֹ׃Ps 11:7
For Yahweh is righteous.
He loves righteousness.
The upright shall see his face.
Ps 10:7Ps 10:7ὅτι δίκαιος κύριος καὶ δικαιοσύνας ἠγάπησεν εὐθύτητα εἶδεν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦPs 11:7
For the Lord is righteous, and loves righteousness; his face beholds uprightness.
Ps 11:7
For Yahweh is righteous.
He loves righteousness.
The upright shall see his face.
