False balances are an abomination before the Lord: but a just weight is acceptable unto him.

2Prv 11:22בָּֽא־זָ֭דוֹן וַיָּבֹ֣א קָל֑וֹן וְֽאֶת־צְנוּעִ֥ים חָכְמָֽה׃Prv 11:2
When pride comes, then comes shame,
but with humility comes wisdom.

Prv 11:3
The integrity of the upright shall guide them,
but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.

When a just man dies he leaves regret: but the destruction of the ungodly is speedy, and causes joy.

but righteousness delivers from death.

The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way,
but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor,
but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.

but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret.

A double-tongued man discloses the secret counsels of an assembly: but he that is faithful in spirit conceals matters.

Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls,
but in the multitude of counselors there is victory.

but violent men obtain riches.

A gracious wife brings glory to her husband: but a woman hating righteousness is a theme of dishonour. The slothful come to want: but the diligent support themselves with wealth.

A gracious woman obtains honor,
but violent men obtain riches.
17Prv 11:1717גֹּמֵ֣ל נַ֭פְשׁוֹ אִ֣ישׁ חָ֑סֶד וְעֹכֵ֥ר שְׁ֝אֵר֗וֹ אַכְזָרִֽי׃Prv 11:17
The merciful man does good to his own soul,
but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.
Prv 11:17Prv 11:17τῇ ψυχῇ αὐτοῦ ἀγαθὸν ποιεῖ ἀνὴρ ἐλεήμων ἐξολλύει δὲ αὐτοῦ σῶμα ὁ ἀνελεήμωνPrv 11:17

An ungodly man performs unrighteous works: but the seed of the righteous is a reward of truth.

Most certainly, the evil man will not be unpunished,
but the seed of the righteous will be delivered.
Prv 11:21Prv 11:21χειρὶ χεῖρας ἐμβαλὼν ἀδίκως οὐκ ἀτιμώρητος ἔσται ὁ δὲ σπείρων δικαιοσύνην λήμψεται μισθὸν πιστόνPrv 11:21
He that unjustly strikes hands shall not be unpunished: but he that sows righteousness he shall receive a faithful reward.

Most certainly, the evil man will not be unpunished,

22Prv 11:2222נֶ֣זֶם זָ֭הָב בְּאַ֣ף חֲזִ֑יר אִשָּׁ֥ה יָ֝פָ֗ה וְסָ֣רַת טָֽעַם׃Prv 11:22
Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout,
is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.
Prv 11:22Prv 11:22ὥσπερ ἐνώτιον ἐν ῥινὶ ὑός οὕτως γυναικὶ κακόφρονι κάλλοςPrv 11:22
As an ornament in a swine's snout, so is beauty to an ill-minded women.

23Prv 11:2323תַּאֲוַ֣ת צַדִּיקִ֣ים אַךְ־ט֑וֹב תִּקְוַ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים עֶבְרָֽה׃Prv 11:23
The desire of the righteous is only good.
The expectation of the wicked is wrath.
Prv 11:23Prv 11:23ἐπιθυμία δικαίων πᾶσα ἀγαθή ἐλπὶς δὲ ἀσεβῶν ἀπολεῖταιPrv 11:23
All the desire of the righteous is good: but the hope of the ungodly shall perish.

24Prv 11:2424יֵ֣שׁ מְ֭פַזֵּר וְנוֹסָ֥ף ע֑וֹד וְחוֹשֵׂ֥ךְ מִ֝יֹּ֗שֶׁר אַךְ־לְמַחְסֽוֹר׃Prv 11:24
There is one who scatters, and increases yet more.
There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.
Prv 11:24Prv 11:24εἰσὶν οἳ τὰ ἴδια σπείροντες πλείονα ποιοῦσιν εἰσὶν καὶ οἳ συνάγοντες ἐλαττονοῦνταιPrv 11:24

He who diligently seeks good seeks favor,
but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him.

He that devises good counsels seeks good favour: but as for him that seeks after evil, evil shall overtake him.

He who diligently seeks good seeks favor,
but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him.
28Prv 11:2828בּוֹטֵ֣חַ בְּ֭עָשְׁרוֹ ה֣וּא יִפֹּ֑ל וְ֝כֶעָלֶ֗ה צַדִּיקִ֥ים יִפְרָֽחוּ׃Prv 11:28
He who trusts in his riches will fall,
but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.
Prv 11:28Prv 11:28ὁ πεποιθὼς ἐπὶ πλούτῳ οὗτος πεσεῖται ὁ δὲ ἀντιλαμβανόμενος δικαίων οὗτος ἀνατελεῖPrv 11:28
He that trusts in wealth shall fall; but he that helps righteous men shall rise.
Prv 11:28
He who trusts in his riches will fall,
but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.The one having trusted upon wealth, this one will fall, but the one laying hold of righteousness, this one will rise

He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind.
The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
Prv 11:29Prv 11:29ὁ μὴ συμπεριφερόμενος τῷ ἑαυτοῦ οἴκῳ κληρονομήσει ἄνεμον δουλεύσει δὲ ἄφρων φρονίμῳPrv 11:29
He that deals not graciously with his own house shall inherit the wind; and the fool shall be servant to the wise man.
Prv 11:29

The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30Prv 11:3030פְּֽרִי־צַ֭דִּיק עֵ֣ץ חַיִּ֑ים וְלֹקֵ֖חַ נְפָשׂ֣וֹת חָכָֽם׃Prv 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.
He who is wise wins souls.
Prv 11:30Prv 11:30ἐκ καρποῦ δικαιοσύνης φύεται δένδρον ζωῆς ἀφαιροῦνται δὲ ἄωροι ψυχαὶ παρανόμωνPrv 11:30
Out of the fruit of righteousness grows a tree of life; but the souls of transgressors are cut off before their time.
Prv 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.
He who is wise wins souls.
31Prv 11:3131הֵ֣ן צַ֭דִּיק בָּאָ֣רֶץ יְשֻׁלָּ֑ם אַ֝֗ף כִּֽי־רָשָׁ֥ע וְחוֹטֵֽא׃Prv 11:31
Behold, the righteous shall be repaid in the earth;
how much more the wicked and the sinner!
Prv 11:31Prv 11:31εἰ ὁ μὲν δίκαιος μόλις σῴζεται ὁ ἀσεβὴς καὶ ἁμαρτωλὸς ποῦ φανεῖταιPrv 11:31
If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Prv 11:31
Behold, the righteous shall be repaid in the earth;
how much more the wicked and the sinner!
