¶Again it happened on the day when the God’s sons came to present themselves before Yahweh, that Satan came also among them to present himself before Yahweh.

And it came to pass on a certain day, that the angels of God came to stand before the Lord, and the devil came among them to stand before the Lord.

¶Satan answered Yahweh, and said, “From going back and forth in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”

And the Lord, said to the devil, Whence comest thou? Then the devil said before the Lord, I am come from going through the world, and walking about the whole earth.
Jb 2:2Yahweh said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”¶Satan answered Yahweh, and said, “From going back and forth in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”and the Lord said to the devil "From where are you come?"

And the Lord said to the devil, Hast thou then observed my servant Job, that there is none of men upon the earth like him, a harmless, true, blameless, godly man, abstaining from all evil? and he yet cleaves to innocence, whereas thou has told me to destroy his substance without cause?
Jb 2:3¶Yahweh said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? For there is none like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil. He still maintains his integrity, although you incited me against him, to ruin him without cause.”The Lord said to the devil "therefore, did you take heed to my attendant Job because there is not another human like him on earth, innocent, true, blameless, worshipper of Godª, holding back from all wickedness, still remaining guileless though you sought to destroy his possessions in vain.

Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that had come on him, they each came from his own place: Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and to comfort him.

Jb 2:13Jb 2:13παρεκάθισαν αὐτῷ ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας καὶ ἑπτὰ νύκτας καὶ οὐδεὶς αὐτῶν ἐλάλησεν ἑώρων γὰρ τὴν πληγὴν δεινὴν οὖσαν καὶ μεγάλην σφόδραJb 2:13
and they sat down beside him seven days and seven nights, and no one of them spoke; for they saw that his affliction was dreadful and very great.

So they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great.
