¶Send the lambs for the ruler of the land from Selah to the wilderness, to the mountain of the daughter of Zion.
Is 16:1Is 16:1ἀποστελῶ ὡς ἑρπετὰ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν μὴ πέτρα ἔρημός ἐστιν τὸ ὄρος ΣιωνIs 16:1
I will send as it were reptiles on the land: is not the mount of the daughter of Sion a desolate rock?
Is 16:1¶Send the lambs for the ruler of the land from Selah to the wilderness, to the mountain of the daughter of Zion.
I will send like like reptiles upon the land, Mount Zion is a desolate rock.

2Is 16:22וְהָיָ֥ה כְעוֹף־נוֹדֵ֖ד קֵ֣ן מְשֻׁלָּ֑ח תִּֽהְיֶ֙ינָה֙ בְּנ֣וֹת מוֹאָ֔ב מַעְבָּרֹ֖ת לְאַרְנֽוֹן׃Is 16:2
For it will be that as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so will the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.

Is 16:2For it will be like a young bird deprived of that as wandering birds, bird flight as a scattered nest, so will the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.

Give counsel! Execute justice! Make your shade like the night in the midst of the noonday! Hide the outcasts! Don’t betray the fugitive!
Is 16:3Is 16:3πλείονα βουλεύου ποιεῖτε σκέπην πένθους αὐτῇ διὰ παντός ἐν μεσημβρινῇ σκοτίᾳ φεύγουσιν ἐξέστησαν μὴ ἀπαχθῇςIs 16:3
take farther counsel, and continually make thou a shelter from grief: they flee in darkness at mid-day; they are amazed; be not thou led captive.
Is 16:3deliberate Give counsel! Execute justice! Make your shelter of grief through all in * shade like the night in the midst of the noonday! Hide the outcasts! Don’t betray the fugitive! In noon they flee in darkness, are amazed not taken away.

Let my outcasts dwell with you! As for Moab, be a hiding place for him from the face of the destroyer. For the extortioner is brought to nothing. Destruction ceases. The oppressors are consumed out of the land.
Is 16:4Is 16:4παροικήσουσίν σοι οἱ φυγάδες Μωαβ ἔσονται σκέπη ὑμῖν ἀπὸ προσώπου διώκοντος ὅτι ἤρθη ἡ συμμαχία σου καὶ ὁ ἄρχων ἀπώλετο ὁ καταπατῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆςIs 16:4
The fugitives of Moab shall sojourn with thee; they shall be to you a shelter from the face of the pursuer: for thine alliance has been taken away, and the oppressing ruler has perished from off the earth.
Is 16:4They will dwell with you, the Fugitives of Moab. They Let my outcasts dwell with you! As for Moab, be a hiding place for him from the face of the destroyer. For the extortioner is brought to nothing. Destruction ceases. The oppressors are consumed out of the land.

And a throne shall be established with mercy; and one shall sit upon it with truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and earnestly seeking judgments, and hasting righteousness.

And after mercy the throne will be reistablished and set up upon them after truth in the tent of David judging and seeking judgement and quick rightiousness

7Is 16:77לָכֵ֗ן יְיֵלִ֥יל מוֹאָ֛ב לְמוֹאָ֖ב כֻּלֹּ֣ה יְיֵלִ֑יל לַאֲשִׁישֵׁ֧י קִיר־חֲרֶ֛שֶׂת תֶּהְגּ֖וּ אַךְ־נְכָאִֽים׃Is 16:7
Therefore Moab will wail for Moab. Everyone will wail. You will mourn for the raisin cakes of Kir Hareseth, utterly stricken.

For the fields of Heshbon languish with the vine of Sibmah. The lords of the nations have broken down its choice branches, which reached even to Jazer, which wandered into the wilderness. Its shoots were spread abroad. They passed over the sea.
Is 16:8Is 16:8τὰ πεδία Εσεβων πενθήσει ἄμπελος Σεβαμα καταπίνοντες τὰ ἔθνη καταπατήσατε τὰς ἀμπέλους αὐτῆς ἕως Ιαζηρ οὐ μὴ συνάψητε πλανήθητε τὴν ἔρημον οἱ ἀπεσταλμένοι ἐγκατελείφθησαν διέβησαν γὰρ τὴν ἔρημονIs 16:8
The plains of Esebon shall mourn, the vine of Sebama: swallowing up the nations, trample ye her vines, even to Jazer: ye shall not come together; wander ye in the desert: they that were sent are deserted, for they have gone over to the sea.
Is 16:8For the fields of Heshbon languish will grieve, with the vine of Sibmah. The lords of the nations have broken down its choice branches, which reached even to Jazer, which wandered into the wilderness. Its shoots were spread abroad. They passed over the sea.
Swallowing the nation you trampled their grape vine until Iaxer not straying from evil deeds for we will send forth the crossover reside.*

And gladness and rejoicing shall be taken away from the vineyards; and they shall not at all tread wine into the vats; for the vintage has ceased.
Is 16:10Gladness is taken away, and joy out of our the vineyard fruitful field; and in your the vineyards there will be no celebration singing, neither joyful noise. Nobody will tread out wine in the presses. I have made the shouting stop. For no one will stomp the wine in the vats

And it shall be to thy shame, (for Moab is wearied at the altars,) that he shall go in to the idols thereof to pray, but they shall not be at all able to deliver him.
Is 16:12It will happen that when Moab turns in deference to you presents himself, when he wearies himself on the high place, and comes to his sanctuary to pray, that he will not prevail. That labor of Moab upon the alter and he enters in handmade so that they pray and not able to extract it.

This is the word that Yahweh spoke concerning Moab in time past.

of the hierlings the glory of Moab will not be honored, its great value will not be honored.
