¶You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely bring them again to your brother.

When thou seest the calf of thy brother or his sheep wandering in the way, thou shalt not overlook them; thou shalt by all means turn them back to thy brother, and thou shalt restore them to him.
Dt 22:1
¶You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely bring them again to your brother.
2Dt 22:22וְאִם־לֹ֨א קָר֥וֹב אָחִ֛יךָ אֵלֶ֖יךָ וְלֹ֣א יְדַעְתּ֑וֹ וַאֲסַפְתּוֹ֙ אֶל־תּ֣וֹךְ בֵּיתֶ֔ךָ וְהָיָ֣ה עִמְּךָ֗ עַ֣ד דְּרֹ֤שׁ אָחִ֙יךָ֙ אֹת֔וֹ וַהֲשֵׁבֹת֖וֹ לֽוֹ׃Dt 22:2
If your brother isn’t near to you, or if you don’t know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall be with you until your brother seek after it, and you shall restore it to him.

And if thy brother do not come nigh thee, and thou dost not know him, thou shalt bring it into thy house within; and it shall be with thee until thy brother shall seek them, and thou shalt restore them to him.
Dt 22:2

So you shall do with his donkey; and so you shall do with his garment; and so you shall do with every lost thing of your brother’s, which he has lost, and you have found: you may not hide yourself.

Thus shalt thou do to his ass, and thus shalt thou do to his garment, and thus shalt thou do to every thing that thy brother has lost; whatsoever shall have been lost by him, and thou shalt have found, thou shalt not have power to overlook.

You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen down by the way, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely help him to lift them up again.

Thou shalt not see the ass of thy brother, or his calf, fallen in the way: thou shalt not overlook them, thou shalt surely help him to raise them up.

5Dt 22:55לֹא־יִהְיֶ֤ה כְלִי־גֶ֙בֶר֙ עַל־אִשָּׁ֔ה וְלֹא־יִלְבַּ֥שׁ גֶּ֖בֶר שִׂמְלַ֣ת אִשָּׁ֑ה כִּ֧י תוֹעֲבַ֛ת יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ כָּל־עֹ֥שֵׂה אֵֽלֶּה׃ פ Dt 22:5
A woman shall not wear men’s clothing, neither shall a man put on women’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh your God.
Dt 22:5Dt 22:5οὐκ ἔσται σκεύη ἀνδρὸς ἐπὶ γυναικί οὐδὲ μὴ ἐνδύσηται ἀνὴρ στολὴν γυναικείαν ὅτι βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σού ἐστιν πᾶς ποιῶν ταῦταDt 22:5
The apparel of a man shall not be on a woman, neither shall a man put on a woman's dress; for every one that does these things is an abomination to the Lord thy God.
Dt 22:5
A woman shall not wear men’s clothing, neither shall a man put on women’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh your God.
6Dt 22:66כִּ֣י יִקָּרֵ֣א קַן־צִפּ֣וֹר ׀ לְפָנֶ֡יךָ בַּדֶּ֜רֶךְ בְּכָל־עֵ֣ץ ׀ א֣וֹ עַל־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֶפְרֹחִים֙ א֣וֹ בֵיצִ֔ים וְהָאֵ֤ם רֹבֶ֙צֶת֙ עַל־הָֽאֶפְרֹחִ֔ים א֖וֹ עַל־הַבֵּיצִ֑ים לֹא־תִקַּ֥ח הָאֵ֖ם עַל־הַבָּנִֽים׃Dt 22:6
If a bird’s nest chance to be before you in the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the hen sitting on the young, or on the eggs, you shall not take the hen with the young:
Dt 22:6Dt 22:6ἐὰν δὲ συναντήσῃς νοσσιᾷ ὀρνέων πρὸ προσώπου σου ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἢ ἐπὶ παντὶ δένδρει ἢ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς νεοσσοῖς ἢ ᾠοῖς καὶ ἡ μήτηρ θάλπῃ ἐπὶ τῶν νεοσσῶν ἢ ἐπὶ τῶν ᾠῶν οὐ λήμψῃ τὴν μητέρα μετὰ τῶν τέκνωνDt 22:6
And if thou shouldest come upon a brood of birds before thy face in the way or upon any tree, or upon the earth, young or eggs, and the mother be brooding on the young or the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young ones.

7Dt 22:77שַׁלֵּ֤חַ תְּשַׁלַּח֙ אֶת־הָאֵ֔ם וְאֶת־הַבָּנִ֖ים תִּֽקַּֽח־לָ֑ךְ לְמַ֙עַן֙ יִ֣יטַב לָ֔ךְ וְהַאֲרַכְתָּ֖ יָמִֽים׃ ס Dt 22:7
you shall surely let the hen go, but the young you may take to yourself; that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days.
Dt 22:7Dt 22:7ἀποστολῇ ἀποστελεῖς τὴν μητέρα τὰ δὲ παιδία λήμψῃ σεαυτῷ ἵνα εὖ σοι γένηται καὶ πολυήμερος ἔσῃDt 22:7
Thou shalt by all means let the mother go, but thou shalt take the young to thyself; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest live long.

you shall surely let the hen go, but the young you may take to yourself; that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days.
8Dt 22:88כִּ֤י תִבְנֶה֙ בַּ֣יִת חָדָ֔שׁ וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ מַעֲקֶ֖ה לְגַגֶּ֑ךָ וְלֹֽא־תָשִׂ֤ים דָּמִים֙ בְּבֵיתֶ֔ךָ כִּֽי־יִפֹּ֥ל הַנֹּפֵ֖ל מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ ס Dt 22:8
When you build a new house, then you shall make a battlement for your roof, that you don’t bring blood on your house, if any man fall from there.
Dt 22:8Dt 22:8ἐὰν δὲ οἰκοδομήσῃς οἰκίαν καινήν καὶ ποιήσεις στεφάνην τῷ δώματί σου καὶ οὐ ποιήσεις φόνον ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ σου ἐὰν πέσῃ ὁ πεσὼν ἀπ’ αὐτοῦDt 22:8
If thou shouldest build a new house, then shalt thou make a parapet to thy house; so thou shalt not bring blood-guiltiness upon thy house, if one should in any wise fall from it.
Dt 22:8
When you build a new house, then you shall make a battlement for your roof, that you don’t bring blood on your house, if any man fall from there.
9Dt 22:99לֹא־תִזְרַ֥ע כַּרְמְךָ֖ כִּלְאָ֑יִם פֶּן־תִּקְדַּ֗שׁ הַֽמְלֵאָ֤ה הַזֶּ֙רַע֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּזְרָ֔ע וּתְבוּאַ֖ת הַכָּֽרֶם׃ ס Dt 22:9
You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest the whole fruit be forfeited, the seed which you have sown, and the increase of the vineyard.
Dt 22:9Dt 22:9οὐ κατασπερεῖς τὸν ἀμπελῶνά σου διάφορον ἵνα μὴ ἁγιασθῇ τὸ γένημα καὶ τὸ σπέρμα ὃ ἐὰν σπείρῃς μετὰ τοῦ γενήματος τοῦ ἀμπελῶνός σουDt 22:9
Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with diverse seed, lest the fruit be devoted, and whatsoever seed thou mayest sow, with the fruit of thy vineyard.
Dt 22:9
You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest the whole fruit be forfeited, the seed which you have sown, and the increase of the vineyard.
10Dt 22:1010לֹֽא־תַחֲרֹ֥שׁ בְּשׁוֹר־וּבַחֲמֹ֖ר יַחְדָּֽו׃ ס Dt 22:10
You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.

11Dt 22:1111לֹ֤א תִלְבַּשׁ֙ שַֽׁעַטְנֵ֔ז צֶ֥מֶר וּפִשְׁתִּ֖ים יַחְדָּֽו׃ ס Dt 22:11
You shall not wear a mixed stuff, wool and linen together.
Dt 22:11Dt 22:11οὐκ ἐνδύσῃ κίβδηλον ἔρια καὶ λίνον ἐν τῷ αὐτῷDt 22:11
Thou shalt not wear a mingled garment, woollen and linen together.
Dt 22:11
You shall not wear a mixed stuff, wool and linen together.
12Dt 22:1212גְּדִלִ֖ים תַּעֲשֶׂה־לָּ֑ךְ עַל־אַרְבַּ֛ע כַּנְפ֥וֹת כְּסוּתְךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּכַסֶּה־בָּֽהּ׃ ס Dt 22:12
You shall make yourselves fringes on the four borders of your cloak, with which you cover yourself.
Dt 22:12Dt 22:12στρεπτὰ ποιήσεις σεαυτῷ ἐπὶ τῶν τεσσάρων κρασπέδων τῶν περιβολαίων σου ἃ ἐὰν περιβάλῃ ἐν αὐτοῖςDt 22:12
Thou shalt make fringes on the four borders of thy garments, with which soever thou mayest be clothed.

13Dt 22:1313כִּֽי־יִקַּ֥ח אִ֖ישׁ אִשָּׁ֑ה וּבָ֥א אֵלֶ֖יהָ וּשְׂנֵאָֽהּ׃Dt 22:13
¶If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and hates her,

And if any one should take a wife, and dwell with her, and hate her,

¶If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and hates her,
14Dt 22:1414וְשָׂ֥ם לָהּ֙ עֲלִילֹ֣ת דְּבָרִ֔ים וְהוֹצִ֥יא עָלֶ֖יהָ שֵׁ֣ם רָ֑ע וְאָמַ֗ר אֶת־הָאִשָּׁ֤ה הַזֹּאת֙ לָקַ֔חְתִּי וָאֶקְרַ֣ב אֵלֶ֔יהָ וְלֹא־מָצָ֥אתִי לָ֖הּ בְּתוּלִֽים׃Dt 22:14
and accuses her of shameful things, and brings up an evil name on her, and says, “I took this woman, and when I came near to her, I didn’t find in her the tokens of virginity;”
Dt 22:14Dt 22:14καὶ ἐπιθῇ αὐτῇ προφασιστικοὺς λόγους καὶ κατενέγκῃ αὐτῆς ὄνομα πονηρὸν καὶ λέγῃ τὴν γυναῖκα ταύτην εἴληφα καὶ προσελθὼν αὐτῇ οὐχ εὕρηκα αὐτῆς παρθένιαDt 22:14
and attach to her reproachful words, and bring against her an evil name, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her I found not her tokens of virginity:

and accuses her of shameful things, and brings up an evil name on her, and says, “I took this woman, and when I came near to her, I didn’t find in her the tokens of virginity;”
15Dt 22:1515וְלָקַ֛ח אֲבִ֥י ‏{ הנער הַֽנַּעֲרָ֖ה }‏ וְאִמָּ֑הּ וְהוֹצִ֜יאוּ אֶת־בְּתוּלֵ֧י ‏{ הנער הַֽנַּעֲרָ֛ה }‏ אֶל־זִקְנֵ֥י הָעִ֖יר הַשָּֽׁעְרָה׃

then the father and the mother of the damsel shall take and bring out the damsel's tokens of virginity to the elders of the city to the gate.

and the young lady’s father shall tell the elders, “I gave my daughter to this man to wife, and he hates her;

And the father of the damsel shall say to the elders, I gave this my daughter to this man for a wife;

and the young lady’s father shall tell the elders, “I gave my daughter to this man to wife, and he hates her;
17Dt 22:1717וְהִנֵּה־ה֡וּא שָׂם֩ עֲלִילֹ֨ת דְּבָרִ֜ים לֵאמֹ֗ר לֹֽא־מָצָ֤אתִי לְבִתְּךָ֙ בְּתוּלִ֔ים וְאֵ֖לֶּה בְּתוּלֵ֣י בִתִּ֑י וּפָֽרְשׂוּ֙ הַשִּׂמְלָ֔ה לִפְנֵ֖י זִקְנֵ֥י הָעִֽיר׃Dt 22:17
and behold, he has accused her of shameful things, saying, ‘I didn’t find in your daughter the tokens of virginity;’ and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity.” They shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
Dt 22:17Dt 22:17αὐτὸς νῦν ἐπιτίθησιν αὐτῇ προφασιστικοὺς λόγους λέγων οὐχ εὕρηκα τῇ θυγατρί σου παρθένια καὶ ταῦτα τὰ παρθένια τῆς θυγατρός μου καὶ ἀναπτύξουσιν τὸ ἱμάτιον ἐναντίον τῆς γερουσίας τῆς πόλεωςDt 22:17
and now he has hated her, and attaches reproachful words to her, saying, I have not found tokens of virginity with thy daughter; and these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall unfold the garment before the elders of the city.

and behold, he has accused her of shameful things, saying, ‘I didn’t find in your daughter the tokens of virginity;’ and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity.” They shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
18Dt 22:1818וְלָֽקְח֛וּ זִקְנֵ֥י הָֽעִיר־הַהִ֖וא אֶת־הָאִ֑ישׁ וְיִסְּר֖וּ אֹתֽוֹ׃Dt 22:18
The elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him;

and they shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver, and give them to the father of the young lady, because he has brought up an evil name on a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
Dt 22:19Dt 22:19καὶ ζημιώσουσιν αὐτὸν ἑκατὸν σίκλους καὶ δώσουσιν τῷ πατρὶ τῆς νεάνιδος ὅτι ἐξήνεγκεν ὄνομα πονηρὸν ἐπὶ παρθένον Ισραηλῖτιν καὶ αὐτοῦ ἔσται γυνή οὐ δυνήσεται ἐξαποστεῖλαι αὐτὴν τὸν ἅπαντα χρόνονDt 22:19
and shall fine him a hundred shekels, and shall give them to the father of the damsel, because he has brought forth an evil name against a virgin of Israel; and she shall be his wife: he shall never be able to put her away.

Dt 22:21
then they shall bring out the young lady to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done folly in Israel, to play the prostitute in her father’s house: so you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.

then shall they bring out the damsel to the doors of her father's house, and shall stone her with stones, and she shall die; because she has wrought folly among the children of Israel, to defile the house of her father by whoring: so thou shalt remove the evil one from among you.
Dt 22:21then and they shall will bring lead out the young lady out to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall will stone her to death with stones and she will die, because she has done folly something foolish in among the sons of Israel, to play the prostitute in out her father’s house:, and so you shall will put away remove their evil from the midst of you.

Dt 22:25

Dt 22:26
but to the lady you shall do nothing; there is in the lady no sin worthy of death: for as when a man rises against his neighbor, and kills him, even so is this matter;
