And the man Moses was very meek [πραῢς] beyond all the men that were upon the earth(Brenton); and Jesus, Mt. 11:29:
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle [πραΰς] and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls(ESV).
οἱ δὲ πραεῖς κληρονομήσουσιν γῆν...[But the meek shall inherit the earth... (Brenton)].
You shall season all your grain offerings with salt. You shall not let the salt of the covenant with your God be missing from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt(ESV). (A convenant of salt is an enduring, irrevocable covenant [see also Nm. 18:19 and 2 Chr. 13:5]. Presumably the salt serves as a constant reminder of the convenants [Ex. 19:5-6; Dt. 19:1, 10-15] with God into which Israel entered, and under which the sacrifices and offers are made: Ex. 24:3:
Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the rules. And all the people answered with one voice and said,[ESV].)All the words that the Lord has spoken we will do
He [Elisha] said,(ESV).Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.So they brought it to him. (21) Then he went to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said,Thus says the Lord, I have healed this water; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it.(22) So the water has been healed to this day, according to the word that Elisha spoke
