The one who spares his rod hates his child, / but the one who loves his child is diligent in disciplining him(NET); Prv. 22:15:
Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, / but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him(NET); Prv. 23:13-14:
23:13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; / even if you strike him with the rod, he will not die. / 23:14 If you strike him with the rod, / you will deliver him from death(NET).
35:3 Strengthen the hands that have gone limp, / steady the knees that shake! [ἰσχύσατε χεῖρες ἀνειμέναι καὶ γόνατα παραλελυμένα] 35:4 Tell those who panic, /(NET).Be strong! Do not fear! / Look, your God comes to avenge! / With divine retribution he comes to deliver you
ὀρθὰς τροχιὰς ποίει σοῖς ποσὶν...[Make the path for your feet level... (NET).]
Do not give what is holy to dogs or throw your pearls before pigs; otherwise they will trample them under their feet and turn around and tear you to pieces(NET).
And you shall set limits for the people all around, saying, ‘Take care not to go up into the mountain or touch the edge of it. Whoever touches the mountain shall be put to death. 13 No hand shall touch him, but he shall be stoned or shot; whether beast or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain”(ESV).
For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure that the Lord bore against you, so that he was ready to destroy you. But the Lord listened to me that time also(ESV).
Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah(ESV).
And the Lord said,(ESV).What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground
Know therefore today that he who goes over before you as a consuming fire is the Lord your God...(ESV); and Zep. 1:18, 3:8, 9:4.
