1st Letter to the Corinthians
¶Follow after Pursue love,. and Also
earnestly fervently desire spiritual gifts,
but especially (desire) more that you may prophesy
(than that you may speak in other languages).

For he who speaks the one speaking in an(other)
language does not speaks not to men, but to God;,
for no one understands hears; but
(since) in the Spirit he speaks mysteries
unintelligibly.[a]
a Lit., , that is, in/by/with the spirit (vs. in the flesh).
But he who prophesies the one prophesying speaks
to men for their edification, exhortation reassurance,
and consolation to men.

¶But now, brothers,
if I were ever to come to you speaking with (other)
languages, what would will I profit benefit
you, unless I speak to you either by way of in revelation,
or of in knowledge, or of prophesying
in prophesy, or of in teaching?

For if the a trumpet gave were ever
to give an uncertain indistinctᵃ sound,
who would will prepare himself for war?
a αδηλος means unseen, invisible, undisclosed, not evident to sense. It only appears 2 other times in scriptures: Luke 11:44 (ref to "unmarked grave) and Psalm 51:6 [Behold for you loved truth, the unseen and the concealment of your wisdom you disclosed to me"]

If then, therefore, I don’t know were
to ever be unaware of the meaning[a] of the
sound, I would will be to the one speaking
him who speaks a foreigner barbarian,[b]
and he who speaks the one speaking would (will
be) a foreigner barbarian to me.[c]
a Gk. δύναμις, ability, lit.,
the ability of the sound.
b That is, one who speaks an incomprehensible language, or jibberish.
c Why ἐν ἐμοὶ instead of just ἐμοὶ? Without ἐν the dative would be attracted to participle:
the one speaking to meinstead of
the one speaking will be to me.
So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek that you may
abound to the building up edification of the
assembly.

For if I were to ever pray in an(other)
language, (then) my spirit prays, but my understanding mind
is unfruitful unproductive.
¶What is it then? So this is how it should be:[a]
I will pray with the spirit, and but I will
pray also with the understanding mind also.
I will sing make music with the spirit, and but
I will sing make music also with the
understanding mind also.

For indeed you yourself most certainly give
thanks well, but the other (person) is not
built up being edified.

¶Brothers, don’t not behave (as)
children in (your) thoughts thinking;,
yet but (only) in malice be babies be as
naive, but and in (your)
thoughts thinking become mature.

In the law it is has been written that, “By
men of strange In other languages and by in
the others' lips of strangers I
will speak to this people. Not even,”[a] and
thus “neither will they hear me,”[b]
says the Lord.”*

διὰ φαυλισμὸν χειλέων διὰ γλώσσης ἑτέρας ὅτι λαλήσουσιν τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ.

If, therefore, the whole assembly is should
ever be assembled gathered together upon
the same (place) and all were to speak with (other)
languages, and unlearned ignorant or unbelieving (people)
come in were to enter, won’t will they
not say that you are crazy?
But if all were to ever be prophesying, and someone
unbelieving or unlearned ignorant comes in
should enter, he is reproved being convicted by
all everything, (and) he is
being judged by all everything.

And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed become
unhidden. So, and thus, he will upon
falling down on (his)
face and he will worship God, declaring that God really
is among you indeed.

¶What is it thenSo how should it be, brothers?[a]
When whenever you should come together,?
each Each one of you has a psalm, has a
teaching, has a revelation, has an(other) language,
has an interpretation. Let all things become done to build
each other up toward edification.
a Gk. Τί οὖν ἐστίν ἀδελφοί;, lit.,
what therefore is, brothers?(See also 14:15.)
If anyone man speaks in an(other)
language, (let it be) two, or at the most three, and
in turn; and let one interpret.
But if there is should ever be no interpreter, let
him keep silent quiet in the assembly, and let him
speak (only) to himself, and to God.
Let the two or three prophets speak, two or
three, and let the others discern.
But if a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first keep
silent quiet.
For you are all able can prophesy one by
one to prophesy, in order that all may learn, and
all may be exhorted encouraged.,
for God is not (a God) of confusion
upheaval, but of peace.
¶As in all the assemblies of the
saints holy (ones).,

The women in the assemblies, let them be let your wives
keep silentquiet in the assemblies, for it has
is not been permitted for to them
to speak; but let them bebe in subjection
subordinate, just as also the law also says.
RP: γυναιξὶν ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ λαλεῖν ⬪ NA/UBS: γυναικὶ λαλεῖν ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ
If they desire want to learn anything
something, let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is
shameful for a woman to chatter speak in the
assembly.
What? Was it from you that the word of God went out? Or did it come to you alone?

If anyone man thinks himself to be a prophet, or
(someone) spiritual, let him recognize that the
things which what I write to you, that they
are (the) commandment of the Lord.

But if anyone someone is ignorant
uncertain, let him be ignorant uncertain.
