17Friday, 03-Nov-2017 14:32:07 EDTElissa Grace [Send Message]Revision of 16And I saw, and I heard an a single[a] (vulture )eagle, flying in mid heaven (the) sky,[b] saying with a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe for (to) those who dwell on the earth, because of from the other voices of the remaining trumpets sounds of the three angels, who are (still yet) to sound going to be blowing!”

a Gk. εἷς, one. αετου in the other references in the NT,like Matt 24:28 this is a bird that gathers over corpses (πτομα). Eagles are not the type of bird to eat carrion so they do not gather over corpses as a vulture would. If Jesus uses this context for the noun, we ought to take heed to HIS DEFINITION when applying our translation.
b Gk. μεσουράνημα, mid-heaven (also in Rv. 14:6; 19:17).
