Ps 9:1
For the end, a Psalm of David, concerning the secrets of the Son. I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will recount all thy wonderful works.

2Ps 9:12ἐξομολογήσομαί σοι κύριε ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ μου διηγήσομαι πάντα τὰ θαυμάσιά σου2
Ps 9:1
I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart.
I will tell of all your marvelous works.
Ps 9:2Ps 9:2אוֹדֶ֣ה יְ֭הוָה בְּכָל־לִבִּ֑י אֲ֝סַפְּרָ֗ה כָּל־נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃Ps 9:1
I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart.
I will tell of all your marvelous works.
3Ps 9:23εὐφρανθήσομαι καὶ ἀγαλλιάσομαι ἐν σοί ψαλῶ τῷ ὀνόματί σου ὕψιστεPs 9:2
I will be glad and exult in thee: I will sing to thy name, O thou Most High.

I will be glad and rejoice in you.
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
Ps 9:3Ps 9:3אֶשְׂמְחָ֣ה וְאֶעֶלְצָ֣ה בָ֑ךְ אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה שִׁמְךָ֣ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃Ps 9:2
I will be glad and rejoice in you.
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
4Ps 9:34ἐν τῷ ἀποστραφῆναι τὸν ἐχθρόν μου εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω ἀσθενήσουσιν καὶ ἀπολοῦνται ἀπὸ προσώπου σουPs 9:3
When mine enemies are turned back, they shall be feeble and perish at thy presence.
Ps 9:3
When my enemies turn back,
they stumble and perish in your presence.
Ps 9:4Ps 9:4בְּשׁוּב־אוֹיְבַ֥י אָח֑וֹר יִכָּשְׁל֥וּ וְ֝יֹאבְד֗וּ מִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃Ps 9:3
When my enemies turn back,
they stumble and perish in your presence.
5Ps 9:45ὅτι ἐποίησας τὴν κρίσιν μου καὶ τὴν δίκην μου ἐκάθισας ἐπὶ θρόνου ὁ κρίνων δικαιοσύνηνPs 9:4
For thou hast maintained my cause and my right; thou satest on the throne, that judgest righteousness.
Ps 9:4
For you have maintained my just cause.
You sit on the throne judging righteously.
Ps 9:5Ps 9:5כִּֽי־עָ֭שִׂיתָ מִשְׁפָּטִ֣י וְדִינִ֑י יָשַׁ֥בְתָּ לְ֝כִסֵּ֗א שׁוֹפֵ֥ט צֶֽדֶק׃Ps 9:4
For you have maintained my just cause.
You sit on the throne judging righteously.
6Ps 9:56ἐπετίμησας ἔθνεσιν καὶ ἀπώλετο ὁ ἀσεβής τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῶν ἐξήλειψας εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνοςPs 9:5
Thou hast rebuked the nations, and the ungodly one has perished; thou hast blotted out their name for ever, even for ever and ever.
Ps 9:5
You have rebuked the nations.
You have destroyed the wicked.
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
Ps 9:6Ps 9:6גָּעַ֣רְתָּ ג֭וֹיִם אִבַּ֣דְתָּ רָשָׁ֑ע שְׁמָ֥ם מָ֝חִ֗יתָ לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃Ps 9:5
You have rebuked the nations.
You have destroyed the wicked.
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
7Ps 9:67τοῦ ἐχθροῦ ἐξέλιπον αἱ ῥομφαῖαι εἰς τέλος καὶ πόλεις καθεῖλες ἀπώλετο τὸ μνημόσυνον αὐτῶν μετ’ ἤχουςPs 9:6
The swords of the enemy have failed utterly; and thou hast destroyed cities: their memorial has been destroyed with a noise,
Ps 9:6
The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin.
The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
Ps 9:7Ps 9:7הָֽאוֹיֵ֨ב ׀ תַּ֥מּוּ חֳרָב֗וֹת לָ֫נֶ֥צַח וְעָרִ֥ים נָתַ֑שְׁתָּ אָבַ֖ד זִכְרָ֣ם הֵֽמָּה׃Ps 9:6
The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin.
The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
8Ps 9:78καὶ ὁ κύριος εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα μένει ἡτοίμασεν ἐν κρίσει τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦPs 9:7
but the Lord endures for ever: he has prepared his throne for judgment.

But Yahweh reigns forever.

Ps 9:8Ps 9:8וַֽ֭יהוָה לְעוֹלָ֣ם יֵשֵׁ֑ב כּוֹנֵ֖ן לַמִּשְׁפָּ֣ט כִּסְאֽוֹ׃Ps 9:7
But Yahweh reigns forever.
He has prepared his throne for judgment.
9Ps 9:89καὶ αὐτὸς κρινεῖ τὴν οἰκουμένην ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ κρινεῖ λαοὺς ἐν εὐθύτητιPs 9:8
And he will judge the world in righteousness, he will judge the nations in uprightness.
Ps 9:8
He will judge the world in righteousness.
He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
Ps 9:9Ps 9:9וְה֗וּא יִשְׁפֹּֽט־תֵּבֵ֥ל בְּצֶ֑דֶק יָדִ֥ין לְ֝אֻמִּ֗ים בְּמֵישָׁרִֽים׃Ps 9:8
He will judge the world in righteousness.
He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
10Ps 9:910καὶ ἐγένετο κύριος καταφυγὴ τῷ πένητι βοηθὸς ἐν εὐκαιρίαις ἐν θλίψειPs 9:9
The Lord also is become a refuge for the poor, a seasonable help, in affliction.
Ps 9:9
Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed;
a high tower in times of trouble.
Ps 9:10Ps 9:10וִ֘יהִ֤י יְהוָ֣ה מִשְׂגָּ֣ב לַדָּ֑ךְ מִ֝שְׂגָּ֗ב לְעִתּ֥וֹת בַּצָּרָֽה׃Ps 9:9
Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed;
a high tower in times of trouble.
11Ps 9:1011καὶ ἐλπισάτωσαν ἐπὶ σὲ οἱ γινώσκοντες τὸ ὄνομά σου ὅτι οὐκ ἐγκατέλιπες τοὺς ἐκζητοῦντάς σε κύριεPs 9:10
And let them that know thy name hope in thee: for thou, O Lord, hast not failed them that diligently seek thee.
Ps 9:10
Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Ps 9:11Ps 9:11וְיִבְטְח֣וּ בְ֭ךָ יוֹדְעֵ֣י שְׁמֶ֑ךָ כִּ֤י לֹֽא־עָזַ֖בְתָּ דֹרְשֶׁ֣יךָ יְהוָֽה׃Ps 9:10
Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.
12Ps 9:1112ψάλατε τῷ κυρίῳ τῷ κατοικοῦντι ἐν Σιων ἀναγγείλατε ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτοῦPs 9:11
Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Sion: declare his dealings among the nations.
Ps 9:11
Sing praises to Yahweh, who dwells in Zion,
and declare among the people what he has done.
Ps 9:12Ps 9:12זַמְּר֗וּ לַ֭יהוָה יֹשֵׁ֣ב צִיּ֑וֹן הַגִּ֥ידוּ בָ֝עַמִּ֗ים עֲלִֽילוֹתָֽיו׃Ps 9:11
Sing praises to Yahweh, who dwells in Zion,
and declare among the people what he has done.
13Ps 9:1213ὅτι ἐκζητῶν τὰ αἵματα αὐτῶν ἐμνήσθη οὐκ ἐπελάθετο τῆς κραυγῆς τῶν πενήτωνPs 9:12
For he remembered them, in making inquisition for blood: he has not forgotten the supplication of the poor.
Ps 9:12
For he who avenges blood remembers them.
He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.
Ps 9:13Ps 9:13כִּֽי־דֹרֵ֣שׁ דָּ֭מִים אוֹתָ֣ם זָכָ֑ר לֹֽא־שָׁ֝כַ֗ח צַעֲקַ֥ת ‏{ עניים עֲנָוִֽים׃ }‏

Ps 9:12
For he who avenges blood remembers them.
He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.
14Ps 9:1314ἐλέησόν με κύριε ἰδὲ τὴν ταπείνωσίν μου ἐκ τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου ὁ ὑψῶν με ἐκ τῶν πυλῶν τοῦ θανάτουPs 9:13
Have mercy upon me, O Lord; look upon my affliction which I suffer of mine enemies, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
Ps 9:13
Have mercy on me, Yahweh.
See my affliction by those who hate me,
and lift me up from the gates of death;
Ps 9:14Ps 9:14חָֽנְנֵ֬נִי יְהוָ֗ה רְאֵ֣ה עָ֭נְיִי מִשֹּׂנְאָ֑י מְ֝רוֹמְמִ֗י מִשַּׁ֥עֲרֵי מָֽוֶת׃Ps 9:13
Have mercy on me, Yahweh.
See my affliction by those who hate me,
and lift me up from the gates of death;
15Ps 9:1415ὅπως ἂν ἐξαγγείλω πάσας τὰς αἰνέσεις σου ἐν ταῖς πύλαις τῆς θυγατρὸς Σιων ἀγαλλιάσομαι ἐπὶ τῷ σωτηρίῳ σουPs 9:14
that I may declare all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion: I will exult in thy salvation.
Ps 9:14
that I may show forth all your praise.
In the gates of the daughter of Zion, I will rejoice in your salvation.
Ps 9:15Ps 9:15לְמַ֥עַן אֲסַפְּרָ֗ה כָּֽל־תְּהִלָּ֫תֶ֥יךָ בְּשַֽׁעֲרֵ֥י בַת־צִיּ֑וֹן אָ֝גִ֗ילָה בִּישׁוּעָתֶֽךָ׃Ps 9:14
that I may show forth all your praise.
In the gates of the daughter of Zion, I will rejoice in your salvation.
16Ps 9:1516ἐνεπάγησαν ἔθνη ἐν διαφθορᾷ ᾗ ἐποίησαν ἐν παγίδι ταύτῃ ᾗ ἔκρυψαν συνελήμφθη ὁ ποὺς αὐτῶνPs 9:15
The heathen are caught in the destruction which they planned: in the very snare which they hid is their foot taken.
Ps 9:15
The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made.
In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.
Ps 9:16Ps 9:16טָבְע֣וּ ג֭וֹיִם בְּשַׁ֣חַת עָשׂ֑וּ בְּרֶֽשֶׁת־ז֥וּ טָ֝מָ֗נוּ נִלְכְּדָ֥ה רַגְלָֽם׃Ps 9:15
The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made.
In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.
17Ps 9:1617γινώσκεται κύριος κρίματα ποιῶν ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις τῶν χειρῶν αὐτοῦ συνελήμφθη ὁ ἁμαρτωλός ᾠδὴ διαψάλματοςPs 9:16
The Lord is known as executing judgments: the sinner is taken in the works of his hands. A song of Pause.
Ps 9:16
Yahweh has made himself known.
He has executed judgment.
The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands.

Ps 9:17Ps 9:17נ֤וֹדַ֨ע ׀ יְהוָה֮ מִשְׁפָּ֪ט עָ֫שָׂ֥ה בְּפֹ֣עַל כַּ֭פָּיו נוֹקֵ֣שׁ רָשָׁ֑ע הִגָּי֥וֹן סֶֽלָה׃Ps 9:16
Yahweh has made himself known.
He has executed judgment.
The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands.

18Ps 9:1718ἀποστραφήτωσαν οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ εἰς τὸν ᾅδην πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τὰ ἐπιλανθανόμενα τοῦ θεοῦPs 9:17
Let sinners be driven away into Hades, even all the nations that forget God.
Ps 9:17
The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol,
even all the nations that forget God.
Ps 9:18Ps 9:18יָשׁ֣וּבוּ רְשָׁעִ֣ים לִשְׁא֑וֹלָה כָּל־גּ֝וֹיִ֗ם שְׁכֵחֵ֥י אֱלֹהִֽים׃Ps 9:17
The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol,
even all the nations that forget God.
19Ps 9:1819ὅτι οὐκ εἰς τέλος ἐπιλησθήσεται ὁ πτωχός ἡ ὑπομονὴ τῶν πενήτων οὐκ ἀπολεῖται εἰς τὸν αἰῶναPs 9:18
For the poor shall not be forgotten for ever: the patience of the needy ones shall not perish for ever.
Ps 9:18
For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
nor the hope of the poor perish forever.
Ps 9:19Ps 9:19כִּ֤י לֹ֣א לָ֭נֶצַח יִשָּׁכַ֣ח אֶבְי֑וֹן תִּקְוַ֥ת ‏{ ענוים עֲ֝נִיִּ֗ים }‏ תֹּאבַ֥ד לָעַֽד׃

Ps 9:18
For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
nor the hope of the poor perish forever.
20Ps 9:1920ἀνάστηθι κύριε μὴ κραταιούσθω ἄνθρωπος κριθήτωσαν ἔθνη ἐνώπιόν σουPs 9:19
Arise, O Lord, let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged before thee.
Ps 9:19
Arise, Yahweh! Don’t let man prevail.
Let the nations be judged in your sight.
Ps 9:20Ps 9:20קוּמָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה אַל־יָעֹ֣ז אֱנ֑וֹשׁ יִשָּׁפְט֥וּ ג֝וֹיִ֗ם עַל־פָּנֶֽיךָ׃Ps 9:19
Arise, Yahweh! Don’t let man prevail.
Let the nations be judged in your sight.
21Ps 9:2021κατάστησον κύριε νομοθέτην ἐπ’ αὐτούς γνώτωσαν ἔθνη ὅτι ἄνθρωποί εἰσιν διάψαλμαPs 9:20
Appoint, O Lord, a lawgiver over them: let the heathen know that they are men. Pause.
Ps 9:20
Put them in fear, Yahweh.
Let the nations know that they are only men.

Ps 9:21Ps 9:21שִׁ֘יתָ֤ה יְהוָ֨ה ׀ מוֹרָ֗ה לָ֫הֶ֥ם יֵדְע֥וּ גוֹיִ֑ם אֱנ֖וֹשׁ הֵ֣מָּה סֶּֽלָה׃Ps 9:20
Put them in fear, Yahweh.
Let the nations know that they are only men.

ἵνα τί κύριε ἀφέστηκας μακρόθεν ὑπερορᾷς ἐν εὐκαιρίαις ἐν θλίψει
Ps 10:1
Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why dost thou overlook us in times of need, in affliction?
Ps 10:1
Why do you stand far off, Yahweh?
Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
Ps 10:1Ps 10:1לָמָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה תַּעֲמֹ֣ד בְּרָח֑וֹק תַּ֝עְלִ֗ים לְעִתּ֥וֹת בַּצָּרָֽה׃Ps 10:1
Why do you stand far off, Yahweh?
Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
23Ps 10:223ἐν τῷ ὑπερηφανεύεσθαι τὸν ἀσεβῆ ἐμπυρίζεται ὁ πτωχός συλλαμβάνονται ἐν διαβουλίοις οἷς διαλογίζονταιPs 10:2
While the ungodly one acts proudly, the poor is hotly pursued: the wicked are taken in the crafty counsels which they imagine.
Ps 10:2
In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak.
They are caught in the schemes that they devise.
Ps 10:2Ps 10:2בְּגַאֲוַ֣ת רָ֭שָׁע יִדְלַ֣ק עָנִ֑י יִתָּפְשׂ֓וּ ׀ בִּמְזִמּ֖וֹת ז֣וּ חָשָֽׁבוּ׃Ps 10:2
In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak.
They are caught in the schemes that they devise.
24Ps 10:324ὅτι ἐπαινεῖται ὁ ἁμαρτωλὸς ἐν ταῖς ἐπιθυμίαις τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ ἀδικῶν ἐνευλογεῖταιPs 10:3
Because the sinner praises himself for the desires of his heart; and the unjust one blesses himself.
Ps 10:3
For the wicked boasts of his heart’s cravings.
He blesses the greedy, and condemns Yahweh.
Ps 10:3Ps 10:3כִּֽי־הִלֵּ֣ל רָ֭שָׁע עַל־תַּאֲוַ֣ת נַפְשׁ֑וֹ וּבֹצֵ֥עַ בֵּ֝רֵ֗ךְ נִ֘אֵ֥ץ ׀ יְהוָֽה׃Ps 10:3
For the wicked boasts of his heart’s cravings.
He blesses the greedy, and condemns Yahweh.
25Ps 10:425παρώξυνεν τὸν κύριον ὁ ἁμαρτωλός κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῆς ὀργῆς αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐκζητήσει οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ θεὸς ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦPs 10:4
The sinner has provoked the Lord: according to the abundance of his pride he will not seek after him: God is not before him.
Ps 10:4
The wicked, in the pride of his face,
has no room in his thoughts for God.
Ps 10:4Ps 10:4רָשָׁ֗ע כְּגֹ֣בַהּ אַ֭פּוֹ בַּל־יִדְרֹ֑שׁ אֵ֥ין אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים כָּל־מְזִמּוֹתָֽיו׃Ps 10:4
The wicked, in the pride of his face,
has no room in his thoughts for God.
26Ps 10:526βεβηλοῦνται αἱ ὁδοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐν παντὶ καιρῷ ἀνταναιρεῖται τὰ κρίματά σου ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ πάντων τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτοῦ κατακυριεύσειPs 10:5
His ways are profane at all times; thy judgments are removed from before him: he will gain the mastery over all his enemies.
Ps 10:5
His ways are prosperous at all times.
He is haughty, and your laws are far from his sight.
As for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.
Ps 10:5Ps 10:5יָ֘חִ֤ילוּ ‏{ דרכו דְרָכָ֨יו ׀ }‏ בְּכָל־עֵ֗ת מָר֣וֹם מִ֭שְׁפָּטֶיךָ מִנֶּגְדּ֑וֹ כָּל־צ֝וֹרְרָ֗יו יָפִ֥יחַ בָּהֶֽם׃

Ps 10:5
His ways are prosperous at all times.
He is haughty, and your laws are far from his sight.
As for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.
27Ps 10:627εἶπεν γὰρ ἐν καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ σαλευθῶ ἀπὸ γενεᾶς εἰς γενεὰν ἄνευ κακοῦPs 10:6
For he has said in his heart, I shall not be moved, continuing without evil from generation to generation.
Ps 10:6
He says in his heart, “I shall not be shaken.
For generations I shall have no trouble.”
Ps 10:6Ps 10:6אָמַ֣ר בְּ֭לִבּוֹ בַּל־אֶמּ֑וֹט לְדֹ֥ר וָ֝דֹ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־בְרָֽע׃Ps 10:6
He says in his heart, “I shall not be shaken.
For generations I shall have no trouble.”
28Ps 10:728οὗ ἀρᾶς τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ γέμει καὶ πικρίας καὶ δόλου ὑπὸ τὴν γλῶσσαν αὐτοῦ κόπος καὶ πόνοςPs 10:7
Whose mouth is full of cursing, and bitterness, and fraud: under his tongue are trouble and pain.
Ps 10:7
His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression.
Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
Ps 10:7Ps 10:7אָלָ֤ה פִּ֣יהוּ מָ֭לֵא וּמִרְמ֣וֹת וָתֹ֑ךְ תַּ֥חַת לְ֝שׁוֹנ֗וֹ עָמָ֥ל וָאָֽוֶן׃Ps 10:7
His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression.
Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
29Ps 10:829ἐγκάθηται ἐνέδρᾳ μετὰ πλουσίων ἐν ἀποκρύφοις ἀποκτεῖναι ἀθῷον οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν πένητα ἀποβλέπουσινPs 10:8
He lies in wait with rich men in secret places, in order to slay the innocent: his eyes are set against the poor.
Ps 10:8
He lies in wait near the villages.
From ambushes, he murders the innocent.
His eyes are secretly set against the helpless.
Ps 10:8Ps 10:8יֵשֵׁ֤ב ׀ בְּמַאְרַ֬ב חֲצֵרִ֗ים בַּֽ֭מִּסְתָּרִים יַהֲרֹ֣ג נָקִ֑י עֵ֝ינָ֗יו לְֽחֵלְכָ֥ה יִצְפֹּֽנוּ׃Ps 10:8
He lies in wait near the villages.
From ambushes, he murders the innocent.
His eyes are secretly set against the helpless.
30Ps 10:930ἐνεδρεύει ἐν ἀποκρύφῳ ὡς λέων ἐν τῇ μάνδρᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐνεδρεύει τοῦ ἁρπάσαι πτωχόν ἁρπάσαι πτωχὸν ἐν τῷ ἑλκύσαι αὐτόνPs 10:9
He lies in wait in secret as a lion in his den: he lies in wait to ravish the poor, to ravish the poor when he draws him after him: he will bring him down in his snare.
Ps 10:9
He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush.
He lies in wait to catch the helpless.
He catches the helpless, when he draws him in his net.

He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush.
He lies in wait to catch the helpless.
He catches the helpless, when he draws him in his net.
31Ps 10:1031ἐν τῇ παγίδι αὐτοῦ ταπεινώσει αὐτόν κύψει καὶ πεσεῖται ἐν τῷ αὐτὸν κατακυριεῦσαι τῶν πενήτωνPs 10:10
He will bow down and fall when he has mastered the poor.
Ps 10:10
The helpless are crushed.
They collapse.
They fall under his strength.

Ps 10:10

For he has said in his heart, God has forgotten: he has turned away his face so as never to look.
Ps 10:11
He says in his heart, “God has forgotten.
He hides his face.
He will never see it.”

He hides his face.
He will never see it.”
33Ps 10:1233ἀνάστηθι κύριε ὁ θεός ὑψωθήτω ἡ χείρ σου μὴ ἐπιλάθῃ τῶν πενήτωνPs 10:12
Arise, O Lord God; let thy hand be lifted up: forget not the poor.
Ps 10:12
Arise, Yahweh!
God, lift up your hand!
Don’t forget the helpless.

34Ps 10:1334ἕνεκεν τίνος παρώξυνεν ὁ ἀσεβὴς τὸν θεόν εἶπεν γὰρ ἐν καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐκζητήσειPs 10:13
Wherefore, has the wicked provoked God? for he has said in his heart, He will not require it.
Ps 10:13
Why does the wicked person condemn God,
and say in his heart, “God won’t call me into account?”
Ps 10:13Ps 10:13עַל־מֶ֤ה ׀ נִאֵ֖ץ רָשָׁ֥ע ׀ אֱלֹהִ֑ים אָמַ֥ר בְּ֝לִבּ֗וֹ לֹ֣א תִּדְרֹֽשׁ׃Ps 10:13
Why does the wicked person condemn God,

35Ps 10:1435βλέπεις ὅτι σὺ πόνον καὶ θυμὸν κατανοεῖς τοῦ παραδοῦναι αὐτοὺς εἰς χεῖράς σου σοὶ οὖν ἐγκαταλέλειπται ὁ πτωχός ὀρφανῷ σὺ ἦσθα βοηθῶνPs 10:14
Thou seest it; for thou dost observe trouble and wrath, to deliver them into thy hands: the poor has been left to thee; thou wast a helper to the orphan.
Ps 10:14
But you do see trouble and grief.
You consider it to take it into your hand.
You help the victim and the fatherless.
Ps 10:14Ps 10:14רָאִ֡תָה כִּֽי־אַתָּ֤ה ׀ עָ֘מָ֤ל וָכַ֨עַס ׀ תַּבִּיט֮ לָתֵ֪ת בְּיָ֫דֶ֥ךָ עָ֭לֶיךָ יַעֲזֹ֣ב חֵלֶ֑כָה יָ֝ת֗וֹם אַתָּ֤ה ׀ הָיִ֬יתָ עוֹזֵֽר׃Ps 10:14

36Ps 10:1536σύντριψον τὸν βραχίονα τοῦ ἁμαρτωλοῦ καὶ πονηροῦ ζητηθήσεται ἡ ἁμαρτία αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐ μὴ εὑρεθῇ δι’ αὐτήνPs 10:15
Break thou the arm of the sinner and wicked man: his sin shall be sought for, and shall not be found.
Ps 10:15
Break the arm of the wicked.
As for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.

Break the arm of the wicked.
As for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.
37Ps 10:1637βασιλεύσει κύριος εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος ἀπολεῖσθε ἔθνη ἐκ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦPs 10:16
The Lord shall reign for ever, even for ever and ever: ye Gentiles shall perish out his land.
Ps 10:16
Yahweh is King forever and ever!
The nations will perish out of his land.
Ps 10:16Ps 10:16יְהוָ֣ה מֶ֭לֶךְ עוֹלָ֣ם וָעֶ֑ד אָבְד֥וּ ג֝וֹיִ֗ם מֵֽאַרְצֽוֹ׃Ps 10:16
Yahweh is King forever and ever!
The nations will perish out of his land.
38Ps 10:1738τὴν ἐπιθυμίαν τῶν πενήτων εἰσήκουσεν κύριος τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν προσέσχεν τὸ οὖς σουPs 10:17
The Lord has heard the desire of the poor: thine ear has inclined to the preparation of their heart;
Ps 10:17
Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble.
You will prepare their heart.
You will cause your ear to hear,
Ps 10:17Ps 10:17תַּאֲוַ֬ת עֲנָוִ֣ים שָׁמַ֣עְתָּ יְהוָ֑ה תָּכִ֥ין לִ֝בָּ֗ם תַּקְשִׁ֥יב אָזְנֶֽךָ׃Ps 10:17
Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble.
You will prepare their heart.
You will cause your ear to hear,
39Ps 10:1839κρῖναι ὀρφανῷ καὶ ταπεινῷ ἵνα μὴ προσθῇ ἔτι τοῦ μεγαλαυχεῖν ἄνθρωπος ἐπὶ τῆς γῆςPs 10:18
to plead for the orphan and afflicted, that man may no more boast upon the earth.
Ps 10:18
to judge the fatherless and the oppressed,
that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.

to judge the fatherless and the oppressed,
that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.
