εἰς τὸ τέλος ἐν ὕμνοις ψαλμὸς τῷ Ασαφ ᾠδὴ πρὸς τὸν Ἀσσύριον
Ps 76:1
For the end, among the Hymns, a Psalm for Asaph; a Song for the Assyrian. God is known in Judea: his name is great in Israel.

Ps 76:1Ps 76:1לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ בִּנְגִינֹ֑ת מִזְמ֖וֹר לְאָסָ֣ף שִֽׁיר׃Ps 76:0

2Ps 76:12γνωστὸς ἐν τῇ Ιουδαίᾳ ὁ θεός ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ μέγα τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ2

Ps 76:2Ps 76:2נוֹדָ֣ע בִּֽיהוּדָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֑ים בְּ֝יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל גָּד֥וֹל שְׁמֽוֹ׃Ps 76:1

3Ps 76:23καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν εἰρήνῃ ὁ τόπος αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ κατοικητήριον αὐτοῦ ἐν ΣιωνPs 76:2

4Ps 76:34ἐκεῖ συνέτριψεν τὰ κράτη τῶν τόξων ὅπλον καὶ ῥομφαίαν καὶ πόλεμον διάψαλμαPs 76:3
There he broke the power of the bows, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Pause.
Ps 76:3
There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow,
the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war.

Ps 76:4Ps 76:4שָׁ֭מָּה שִׁבַּ֣ר רִשְׁפֵי־קָ֑שֶׁת מָגֵ֬ן וְחֶ֖רֶב וּמִלְחָמָ֣ה סֶֽלָה׃Ps 76:3
There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow,
the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war.

5Ps 76:45φωτίζεις σὺ θαυμαστῶς ἀπὸ ὀρέων αἰωνίωνPs 76:4
Thou dost wonderfully shine forth from the everlasting mountains.
Ps 76:4
Glorious are you, and excellent,
more than mountains of game.

6Ps 76:56ἐταράχθησαν πάντες οἱ ἀσύνετοι τῇ καρδίᾳ ὕπνωσαν ὕπνον αὐτῶν καὶ οὐχ εὗρον οὐδὲν πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦ πλούτου ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτῶνPs 76:5
All the simple ones in heart were troubled; all the men of wealth have slept their sleep, and have found nothing in their hands.
Ps 76:5
Valiant men lie plundered,
they have slept their last sleep.
None of the men of war can lift their hands.
Ps 76:6Ps 76:6אֶשְׁתּוֹלְל֨וּ ׀ אַבִּ֣ירֵי לֵ֭ב נָמ֣וּ שְׁנָתָ֑ם וְלֹא־מָצְא֖וּ כָל־אַנְשֵׁי־חַ֣יִל יְדֵיהֶֽם׃Ps 76:5
Valiant men lie plundered,
they have slept their last sleep.
None of the men of war can lift their hands.
7Ps 76:67ἀπὸ ἐπιτιμήσεώς σου ὁ θεὸς Ιακωβ ἐνύσταξαν οἱ ἐπιβεβηκότες τοὺς ἵππουςPs 76:6
At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, the riders on horses slumbered.
Ps 76:6
At your rebuke, God of Jacob,
both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.
Ps 76:7Ps 76:7מִ֭גַּעֲרָ֣תְךָ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יַעֲקֹ֑ב נִ֝רְדָּ֗ם וְרֶ֣כֶב וָסֽוּס׃Ps 76:6
At your rebuke, God of Jacob,
both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.
8Ps 76:78σὺ φοβερὸς εἶ καὶ τίς ἀντιστήσεταί σοι ἀπὸ τότε ἡ ὀργή σουPs 76:7
Thou art terrible; and who shall withstand thee, because of thine anger?
Ps 76:7
You, even you, are to be feared.
Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?
Ps 76:8Ps 76:8אַתָּ֤ה ׀ נ֥וֹרָא אַ֗תָּה וּמִֽי־יַעֲמֹ֥ד לְפָנֶ֗יךָ מֵאָ֥ז אַפֶּֽךָ׃Ps 76:7
You, even you, are to be feared.
Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?
9Ps 76:89ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἠκούτισας κρίσιν γῆ ἐφοβήθη καὶ ἡσύχασενPs 76:8
Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
Ps 76:8
You pronounced judgment from heaven.
The earth feared, and was silent,
Ps 76:9Ps 76:9מִ֭שָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁמַ֣עְתָּ דִּ֑ין אֶ֖רֶץ יָֽרְאָ֣ה וְשָׁקָֽטָה׃Ps 76:8
You pronounced judgment from heaven.
The earth feared, and was silent,
10Ps 76:910ἐν τῷ ἀναστῆναι εἰς κρίσιν τὸν θεὸν τοῦ σῶσαι πάντας τοὺς πραεῖς τῆς γῆς διάψαλμαPs 76:9
when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek in heart. Pause.

when God arose to judgment,
to save all the afflicted ones of the earth.

Ps 76:10Ps 76:10בְּקוּם־לַמִּשְׁפָּ֥ט אֱלֹהִ֑ים לְהוֹשִׁ֖יעַ כָּל־עַנְוֵי־אֶ֣רֶץ סֶֽלָה׃Ps 76:9
when God arose to judgment,
to save all the afflicted ones of the earth.

11Ps 76:1011ὅτι ἐνθύμιον ἀνθρώπου ἐξομολογήσεταί σοι καὶ ἐγκατάλειμμα ἐνθυμίου ἑορτάσει σοιPs 76:10
For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to thee: and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to thee.
Ps 76:10
Surely the wrath of man praises you.
The survivors of your wrath are restrained.
Ps 76:11Ps 76:11כִּֽי־חֲמַ֣ת אָדָ֣ם תּוֹדֶ֑ךָּ שְׁאֵרִ֖ית חֵמֹ֣ת תַּחְגֹּֽר׃Ps 76:10
Surely the wrath of man praises you.
The survivors of your wrath are restrained.
12Ps 76:1112εὔξασθε καὶ ἀπόδοτε κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν πάντες οἱ κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ οἴσουσιν δῶραPs 76:11
Vow, and pay your vows to the Lord our God; all that are round about him shall bring gifts, even to him that is terrible,
Ps 76:11
Make vows to Yahweh your God, and fulfill them!
Let all of his neighbors bring presents to him who is to be feared.
Ps 76:12Ps 76:12נִֽדֲר֣וּ וְשַׁלְּמוּ֮ לַיהוָ֪ה אֱ‍ֽלֹהֵ֫יכֶ֥ם כָּל־סְבִיבָ֑יו יוֹבִ֥ילוּ שַׁ֝֗י לַמּוֹרָֽא׃Ps 76:11
Make vows to Yahweh your God, and fulfill them!
Let all of his neighbors bring presents to him who is to be feared.
13Ps 76:1213τῷ φοβερῷ καὶ ἀφαιρουμένῳ πνεύματα ἀρχόντων φοβερῷ παρὰ τοῖς βασιλεῦσι τῆς γῆςPs 76:12
and that takes away the spirits of princes; to him that is terrible among the kings of the earth.
Ps 76:12
He will cut off the spirit of princes.
He is feared by the kings of the earth.
Ps 76:13Ps 76:13יִ֭בְצֹר ר֣וּחַ נְגִידִ֑ים נ֝וֹרָ֗א לְמַלְכֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃Ps 76:12
