Ps 66:1
For the end, a Song of Psalm of resurrection. Shout unto God, all the earth.

Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
Ps 66:1Ps 66:1לַ֭מְנַצֵּחַ שִׁ֣יר מִזְמ֑וֹר הָרִ֥יעוּ לֵ֝אלֹהִים כָּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃Ps 66:0-1

Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
2Ps 66:22ψάλατε δὴ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ δότε δόξαν αἰνέσει αὐτοῦPs 66:2
O sing praises to his name; give glory to his praise.
Ps 66:2
Sing to the glory of his name!
Offer glory and praise!

3Ps 66:33εἴπατε τῷ θεῷ ὡς φοβερὰ τὰ ἔργα σου ἐν τῷ πλήθει τῆς δυνάμεώς σου ψεύσονταί σε οἱ ἐχθροί σουPs 66:3
Say unto God, How awful are thy works! through the greatness of thy power thine enemies shall lie to thee.

Tell God, “How awesome are your deeds!
Through the greatness of your power, your enemies submit themselves to you.
Ps 66:3Ps 66:3אִמְר֣וּ לֵ֭אלֹהִים מַה־נּוֹרָ֣א מַעֲשֶׂ֑יךָ בְּרֹ֥ב עֻ֝זְּךָ֗ יְֽכַחֲשׁ֖וּ לְךָ֣ אֹיְבֶֽיךָ׃Ps 66:3
Tell God, “How awesome are your deeds!
Through the greatness of your power, your enemies submit themselves to you.
4Ps 66:44πᾶσα ἡ γῆ προσκυνησάτωσάν σοι καὶ ψαλάτωσάν σοι ψαλάτωσαν τῷ ὀνόματί σου διάψαλμαPs 66:4
Let all the earth worship thee, and sing to thee; let them sing to thy name. Pause.

All the earth will worship you,
and will sing to you;
they will sing to your name.”

5Ps 66:55δεῦτε καὶ ἴδετε τὰ ἔργα τοῦ θεοῦ φοβερὸς ἐν βουλαῖς ὑπὲρ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπωνPs 66:5
Come and behold the works of God; he is terrible in his counsels beyond the children of men.

Come, and see God’s deeds—
awesome work on behalf of the children of men.

Come, and see God’s deeds—
awesome work on behalf of the children of men.
6Ps 66:66ὁ μεταστρέφων τὴν θάλασσαν εἰς ξηράν ἐν ποταμῷ διελεύσονται ποδί ἐκεῖ εὐφρανθησόμεθα ἐπ’ αὐτῷPs 66:6
Who turns the sea into dry land; they shall go through the river on foot; there shall we rejoice in him,

He turned the sea into dry land.

7Ps 66:77τῷ δεσπόζοντι ἐν τῇ δυναστείᾳ αὐτοῦ τοῦ αἰῶνος οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὰ ἔθνη ἐπιβλέπουσιν οἱ παραπικραίνοντες μὴ ὑψούσθωσαν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς διάψαλμαPs 66:7
who by his power is Lord over the age, his eyes look upon the nations; let not them that provoke him be exalted in themselves. Pause.
Ps 66:7
He rules by his might forever.
His eyes watch the nations.
Don’t let the rebellious rise up against him.

Bless our God, ye Gentiles, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;

who quickens my soul in life, and does not suffer my feet to be moved.

For thou, O God, has proved us; thou hast tried us with fire as silver is tried.

For you, God, have tested us.
You have refined us, as silver is refined.
Ps 66:10Ps 66:10כִּֽי־בְחַנְתָּ֥נוּ אֱלֹהִ֑ים צְ֝רַפְתָּ֗נוּ כִּצְרָף־כָּֽסֶף׃Ps 66:10
For you, God, have tested us.

11Ps 66:1111εἰσήγαγες ἡμᾶς εἰς τὴν παγίδα ἔθου θλίψεις ἐπὶ τὸν νῶτον ἡμῶνPs 66:11
Thou broughtest us into the snare; thou laidest afflictions on our back.

Thou didst mount men upon our heads; we went through the fire and water; but thou broughtest us out into a place of refreshment.

You allowed men to ride over our heads.
We went through fire and through water,
but you brought us to the place of abundance.

I will go into thine house with whole-burnt-offerings; I will pay thee my vows,

15Ps 66:1515ὁλοκαυτώματα μεμυαλωμένα ἀνοίσω σοι μετὰ θυμιάματος καὶ κριῶν ποιήσω σοι βόας μετὰ χιμάρων διάψαλμαPs 66:15
I will offer to thee whole-burnt-sacrifices full of marrow, with incense and rams; I will sacrifice to thee oxen with goats. Pause.

I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals,
with the offering of rams,
I will offer bulls with goats.

I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals,

Come, hear, and I will tell, all ye that fear God, how great things he has done for my soul.

I cried to him with my mouth, and exalted him with my tongue.

If I have regarded iniquity in my heart, let not the Lord hearken to me.

the Lord wouldn’t have listened.

If I cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord wouldn’t have listened.
19Ps 66:1919διὰ τοῦτο εἰσήκουσέν μου ὁ θεός προσέσχεν τῇ φωνῇ τῆς δεήσεώς μουPs 66:19
Therefore God has hearkened to me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
Ps 66:19
But most certainly, God has listened.
He has heard the voice of my prayer.

20Ps 66:2020εὐλογητὸς ὁ θεός ὃς οὐκ ἀπέστησεν τὴν προσευχήν μου καὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ ἀπ’ ἐμοῦPs 66:20
Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
