Ps 5:1
For the end, a Psalm of David, concerning her that inherits. Hearken to my words, O Lord, attend to my cry.

2Ps 5:12τὰ ῥήματά μου ἐνώτισαι κύριε σύνες τῆς κραυγῆς μου2
Ps 5:1
Give ear to my words, Yahweh.
Consider my meditation.
Ps 5:2Ps 5:2אֲמָרַ֖י הַאֲזִ֥ינָה ׀ יְהוָ֗ה בִּ֣ינָה הֲגִֽיגִי׃Ps 5:1
Give ear to my words, Yahweh.

3Ps 5:23πρόσχες τῇ φωνῇ τῆς δεήσεώς μου ὁ βασιλεύς μου καὶ ὁ θεός μου ὅτι πρὸς σὲ προσεύξομαι κύριεPs 5:2
Attend to the voice of my supplication, my King, and my God: for to thee, O Lord, will I pray.
Ps 5:2
Listen to the voice of my cry, my King and my God;
for to you do I pray.
Ps 5:3Ps 5:3הַקְשִׁ֤יבָה ׀ לְק֬וֹל שַׁוְעִ֗י מַלְכִּ֥י וֵאלֹהָ֑י כִּֽי־אֵ֝לֶ֗יךָ אֶתְפַּלָּֽל׃Ps 5:2
Listen to the voice of my cry, my King and my God;
for to you do I pray.
4Ps 5:34τὸ πρωὶ εἰσακούσῃ τῆς φωνῆς μου τὸ πρωὶ παραστήσομαί σοι καὶ ἐπόψομαιPs 5:3
In the morning thou shalt hear my voice: in the morning will I wait upon thee, and will look up.
Ps 5:3
Yahweh, in the morning you shall hear my voice.
In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.
Ps 5:4Ps 5:4יְֽהוָ֗ה בֹּ֭קֶר תִּשְׁמַ֣ע קוֹלִ֑י בֹּ֥קֶר אֶֽעֱרָךְ־לְ֝ךָ֗ וַאֲצַפֶּֽה׃Ps 5:3
Yahweh, in the morning you shall hear my voice.
In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.
5Ps 5:45ὅτι οὐχὶ θεὸς θέλων ἀνομίαν σὺ εἶ οὐδὲ παροικήσει σοι πονηρευόμενοςPs 5:4
For thou art not a god that desires iniquity; neither shall the worker of wickedness dwell with thee.
Ps 5:4
For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness.
Evil can’t live with you.
Ps 5:5Ps 5:5כִּ֤י ׀ לֹ֤א אֵֽל־חָפֵ֘ץ רֶ֥שַׁע ׀ אָ֑תָּה לֹ֖א יְגֻרְךָ֣ רָֽע׃Ps 5:4
For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness.
Evil can’t live with you.
6Ps 5:56οὐ διαμενοῦσιν παράνομοι κατέναντι τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν σου ἐμίσησας πάντας τοὺς ἐργαζομένους τὴν ἀνομίανPs 5:5
Neither shall the transgressors continue in thy sight: thou hatest, O Lord, all them that work iniquity.
Ps 5:5
The arrogant shall not stand in your sight.
You hate all workers of iniquity.
Ps 5:6Ps 5:6לֹֽא־יִתְיַצְּב֣וּ הֽ֭וֹלְלִים לְנֶ֣גֶד עֵינֶ֑יךָ שָׂ֝נֵ֗אתָ כָּל־פֹּ֥עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃Ps 5:5
The arrogant shall not stand in your sight.
You hate all workers of iniquity.
7Ps 5:67ἀπολεῖς πάντας τοὺς λαλοῦντας τὸ ψεῦδος ἄνδρα αἱμάτων καὶ δόλιον βδελύσσεται κύριοςPs 5:6
Thou wilt destroy all that speak falsehood: the Lord abhors the bloody and deceitful man.
Ps 5:6
You will destroy those who speak lies.
Yahweh abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
Ps 5:7Ps 5:7תְּאַבֵּד֮ דֹּבְרֵ֪י כָ֫זָ֥ב אִישׁ־דָּמִ֥ים וּמִרְמָ֗ה יְתָ֘עֵ֥ב ׀ יְהוָֽה׃Ps 5:6
You will destroy those who speak lies.
Yahweh abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
8Ps 5:78ἐγὼ δὲ ἐν τῷ πλήθει τοῦ ἐλέους σου εἰσελεύσομαι εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου προσκυνήσω πρὸς ναὸν ἅγιόν σου ἐν φόβῳ σουPs 5:7
But I will enter into thine house in the multitude of thy mercy: I will worship in thy fear toward thy holy temple.
Ps 5:7
But as for me, in the abundance of your loving kindness I will come into your house.
I will bow toward your holy temple in reverence of you.
Ps 5:8Ps 5:8וַאֲנִ֗י בְּרֹ֣ב חַ֭סְדְּךָ אָב֣וֹא בֵיתֶ֑ךָ אֶשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֥ה אֶל־הֵֽיכַל־קָ֝דְשְׁךָ֗ בְּיִרְאָתֶֽךָ׃Ps 5:7
But as for me, in the abundance of your loving kindness I will come into your house.
I will bow toward your holy temple in reverence of you.
9Ps 5:89κύριε ὁδήγησόν με ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου ἕνεκα τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου κατεύθυνον ἐνώπιόν μου τὴν ὁδόν σουPs 5:8
Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make my way plain before thy face.
Ps 5:8
Lead me, Yahweh, in your righteousness because of my enemies.
Make your way straight before my face.
Ps 5:9Ps 5:9יְהוָ֤ה ׀ נְחֵ֬נִי בְצִדְקָתֶ֗ךָ לְמַ֥עַן שׁוֹרְרָ֑י ‏{ הושר הַיְשַׁ֖ר }‏ לְפָנַ֣י דַּרְכֶּֽךָ׃

Ps 5:8
Lead me, Yahweh, in your righteousness because of my enemies.

10Ps 5:910ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν ἀλήθεια ἡ καρδία αὐτῶν ματαία τάφος ἀνεῳγμένος ὁ λάρυγξ αὐτῶν ταῖς γλώσσαις αὐτῶν ἐδολιοῦσανPs 5:9
For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain; their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit.
Ps 5:9
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth.
Their heart is destruction.
Their throat is an open tomb.
They flatter with their tongue.

Ps 5:10Ps 5:10כִּ֤י אֵ֪ין בְּפִ֡יהוּ נְכוֹנָה֮ קִרְבָּ֪ם הַ֫וּ֥וֹת קֶֽבֶר־פָּת֥וּחַ גְּרוֹנָ֑ם לְ֝שׁוֹנָ֗ם יַחֲלִֽיקוּן׃Ps 5:9
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth.
Their heart is destruction.

11Ps 5:1011κρῖνον αὐτούς ὁ θεός ἀποπεσάτωσαν ἀπὸ τῶν διαβουλίων αὐτῶν κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῶν ἀσεβειῶν αὐτῶν ἔξωσον αὐτούς ὅτι παρεπίκρανάν σε κύριεPs 5:10
Judge them, O God; let them fail of their counsels: cast them out according to the abundance of their ungodliness; for they have provoked thee, O Lord.
Ps 5:10
Hold them guilty, God.
Let them fall by their own counsels;
Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions,
for they have rebelled against you.
Ps 5:11Ps 5:11הַֽאֲשִׁימֵ֨ם ׀ אֱ‍ֽלֹהִ֗ים יִפְּלוּ֮ מִֽמֹּעֲצ֪וֹתֵ֫יהֶ֥ם בְּרֹ֣ב פִּ֭שְׁעֵיהֶם הַדִּיחֵ֑מוֹ כִּי־מָ֥רוּ בָֽךְ׃Ps 5:10
Hold them guilty, God.

12Ps 5:1112καὶ εὐφρανθήτωσαν πάντες οἱ ἐλπίζοντες ἐπὶ σέ εἰς αἰῶνα ἀγαλλιάσονται καὶ κατασκηνώσεις ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ καυχήσονται ἐν σοὶ πάντες οἱ ἀγαπῶντες τὸ ὄνομά σουPs 5:11
But let all that trust on thee be glad in thee: they shall exult for ever, and thou shalt dwell among them; and all that love thy name shall rejoice in thee.
Ps 5:11
But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice,
Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them.
Let them also who love your name be joyful in you.
Ps 5:12Ps 5:12וְיִשְׂמְח֨וּ כָל־ח֪וֹסֵי בָ֡ךְ לְעוֹלָ֣ם יְ֭רַנֵּנוּ וְתָסֵ֣ךְ עָלֵ֑ימוֹ וְֽיַעְלְצ֥וּ בְ֝ךָ֗ אֹהֲבֵ֥י שְׁמֶֽךָ׃Ps 5:11

13Ps 5:1213ὅτι σὺ εὐλογήσεις δίκαιον κύριε ὡς ὅπλῳ εὐδοκίας ἐστεφάνωσας ἡμᾶςPs 5:12
For thou, Lord, shalt bless the righteous: thou hast compassed us as with a shield of favour.
Ps 5:12
For you will bless the righteous.
Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield.
Ps 5:13Ps 5:13כִּֽי־אַתָּה֮ תְּבָרֵ֪ךְ צַ֫דִּ֥יק יְהוָ֑ה כַּ֝צִּנָּ֗ה רָצ֥וֹן תַּעְטְרֶֽנּוּ׃Ps 5:12
For you will bless the righteous.
Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield.
