a see also the ο χιτων αραφος εκ των ανωθεν υφαντος δι ολυο John 19:23 paying special attention to the double entendre of ανωθεν used in both John 19:11 and 19:23 "from above" which is used repeatedly in the NT to refer to coming from God (John 3:3,7, 31, 19:11, Jas 1:17, 3:15, 3:17) this "from above" reference is distinct from the "top to bottom" reference of the "veil of the temple being ripped in two from the top to the bottom" because there is no "εος κατω" (the bottom) ..it is missing see in John 19:23 but specified in Mt 27:51, Mk 15:38. It is just an interesting observation that both Adam's tunic and the tunic of Jesus are described in language referring to God's handiwork in both instances: Adam and Eve's tunics were literally made by God and Jesus' tunic is described with the double of entendre of being woven "from out of above".
