A Millstone Around the Neck

Mt18:22¶Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell say to you until up to seven times, but, until up to seventy times seven.[a]
a Gk. ἑβδομηκοντάκις ἑπτά. This is an allusion to Gn. 4:24, which reads seventy-seven times in the Hebrew, but ἑβδομηκοντάκις ἑπτά in the LXX, which is lit. seventy-times seven (see μυριάκις μύριοι, 10,000 x 10,000, Smyth 347 N., and δίς πέντε, twice five, Smyth 354 d. N.). Seventy-seven times, which is arguably the intended meaning in the LXX, would properly be either ἑβδομηκοντάκις ἑπτάκις (see εἰκοσάκις ἅπαξ, twenty-one times, Smyth 347) or ἑπτακαιεβδομηκοντάκις.
Lk17:4If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

Faith as a Grain of Mustard Seed / Only By Prayer and Fasting

As the Lightening Flashes from the West

Lk17:20¶Ἐπερωτηθεὶς δὲ ὑπὸ τῶν Φαρισαίων, πότε ἔρχεται ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ, ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς καὶ εἶπεν, Οὐκ ἔρχεται ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ μετὰ παρατηρήσεως·Lk17:20¶Being asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The Kingdom of God doesn’t come with observation;
Lk17:21οὐδὲ ἐροῦσιν, Ἰδοὺ ὧδε, ἤ, { Ἰδοὺ ἐκεῖ ♦ Ἐκεῖ }. Ἰδοὺ γάρ, ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ ἐντὸς ὑμῶν ἐστίν.
