For not even his own brothers believed in him(NET). But here (in Mk 3:21) they are probably only racing to protect him from those calling him mad, not necessarily believing it themselves.
ὁ δὲ ὅφις ἦν φρονιμώτατος πάντων τῶν θηρίων τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ὧν ἐποίησεν ξύριος ὁ θεός καὶ εἶπεν....
I am sending you out as πρόβατα among wolves.Evidence against, is that Luke uses πρόβατον for sheep in 15:4, 6. Lk 10:3 is the only occurance of ἀρήν in the GNT.

confess Jesus [to be] lord). Here, ὁμολογήσει ἐν ἐμοὶ would appear to mean, in the context of fear, to speak Jesus' message given in 10:27, without giving in to fear, and to not equivocate in the face of opposition.
