Don't Judge

The Speck in Your Brother's Eye

Mt7:3Τί δὲ βλέπεις τὸ κάρφος τὸ ἐν τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου, τὴν δὲ ἐν τῷ σῷ ὀφθαλμῷ δοκὸν οὐ κατανοεῖς;Lk6:41Τί δὲ βλέπεις τὸ κάρφος τὸ ἐν τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου, τὴν δὲ δοκὸν τὴν ἐν τῷ ἰδίῳ ὀφθαλμῷ οὐ κατανοεῖς;Mt7:3Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?Lk6:41Why do you see the speck of chaff splinter that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider notice the beam that is in your own eye?

Mt7:4Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye?Lk6:42Or how can you tell say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff splinter that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t while he does not see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can will see clearly to remove the speck of chaff splinter that is in your brother’s eye.
Mt7:5Ὑποκριτά, ἔκβαλε πρῶτον { τὴν δοκὸν ἐκ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ σου ♦ ἐκ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ σου τὴν δοκόν }, καὶ τότε διαβλέψεις ἐκβαλεῖν τὸ κάρφος ἐκ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου.

Mt7:5You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Pearls Before Swine

Mt7:6¶Μὴ δῶτε τὸ ἅγιον τοῖς κυσίν· μηδὲ βάλητε τοὺς μαργαρίτας ὑμῶν ἔμπροσθεν τῶν χοίρων, μήποτε { καταπατήσωσιν ♦ καταπατήσουσιν } αὐτοὺς ἐν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτῶν, καὶ στραφέντες ῥήξωσιν ὑμᾶς.

By Their Fruits You Will Know Them

Mt7:16By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?

Mt7:19Πᾶν δένδρον μὴ ποιοῦν καρπὸν καλὸν ἐκκόπτεται καὶ εἰς πῦρ βάλλεται.Mt7:19Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.
Mt7:20Ἄρα γε ἀπὸ τῶν καρπῶν αὐτῶν ἐπιγνώσεσθε αὐτούς.Mt7:20Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.

Lord, Lord

Mt7:21Οὐ πᾶς ὁ λέγων μοι, Κύριε, κύριε, εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τῶν οὐρανῶν· ἀλλ’ ὁ ποιῶν τὸ θέλημα τοῦ πατρός μου τοῦ ἐν { οὐρανοῖς ♦ τοῖς οὐρανοῖς }.
