b Hb. ארבה ʾrbh [H697], which is usu. translated by Gk. ἀκρίς, but here translated by Gk. βροῦχος, which usu. translates Hb. ילק ylq [H3218]. Per Jl. 1:4 and Jl. 2:25, an arbeh is thought to be one of four cycles of the locust, the resident adult stage (yeleq is the wingless hopper stage).
c Gk. ἐρυσίβη. For HB. חסיל ḥsyl [H2625]. Per Jl. 1:4 and Jl. 2:25, a hasil is thought to be one of four cycles of the locust, the crawling nymph stage.
